Michael is a phenomenal trainer and a great person. I had initially trained with Michael for 10 weeks and have now returned back for more sessions with him. He is so friendly and helpful, and each session we train a different muscle group.I suffer with bulging discs in my back and neck which causes me sciatic pain in my leg, and rotator cuff syndrome in my right shoulder since May 2012. I never seemed to get anywhere with doctors or physiotherapists so was amazed at the changes I saw in my strength and weight each week.Michael was very patient with me, answered all my questions and he kept me feeling motivated. He also kept track of my diet throughout and I couldn't thank him enough for how much better I feel in myself.If you want a trainer that is truly invested in your own person success then Michael is for you. I started training with Mike 4 months ago following 18 months of not doing any exercise due to a neck injury. I was looking for a trainer who could help me get back into exercise slowly as I was nervous that I would cause further injury and pain on my own in the gym and from my initial consultation I was confident that Mike would listen to my restrictions and work round my limitations. 4 months on I am fitter, stronger and I have had no more neck pain. I have also lost over a stone and seen a big change to my body shape which was also one of my main goals and I feel much happier! Overall I recommend Mike as a PT as his sessions are well structured, he keeps them fresh with new exercises and importantly you feel you are getting a good workout but they are enjoyable too! Mike has been absolutely superb. I’ve been training with him for nearly three years, which is perhaps testament enough! Not least as I’d been through a number of personal trainers before and never managed to stay with one for more than a few weeks or months. My initial goals related to significant weight loss, for which Mike organised a nutrition and fitness plan, which saw great success over the course of the first year. Since getting to a better weight we have focussed on general fitness and muscle tone; I’ve never looked and felt better. He knows his stuff, keeps the training fresh, adapts to any requests and is a nice chap. I genuinely enjoy my training sessions; not something I imagined ever saying a few years back. More...

Being a new mum is amazing but I find that I just don’t have time to go to the gym anymore. My friend recommended McLeary PT and I was nervous at first as I was worried that training me when I also had to watch my baby would be impossible. As it turns out, it’s not! I honestly can't recommend Mcleary PT enough! If you need a trainer whether its to lose weight or improve your fitness or train for a marathon MCLEARY PT is your man! ! Ps when I booked him I never planned to run anywhere, let alone a whole marathon!!!Training with Michael has taught me so much about myself and what I can achieve. He provided me with a nutrition plan and he measures and records progress session by session so steadily my strength and fitness have improved. So much so I have just completed the 2018 London Marathon (hottest on record)! I could never have achieved this without his help, running is the easy part of the marathon, training is the tough part! He made sure that my, core, quads and legs were nice and strong which meant that I was able to finish and wasn't needing a week to recover, I was back at work and in the gym 2 days later! Michael is patient and knowledgeable and always finds a way to work around my previous injuries without compromising the workout and results. He explains the benefits of the exercises and which area they are working and advises how to correct the technique if I've not grasped it properly which is crucial, because it prevents further injury but more importantly he keeps the sessions fun and is always changing things so that it doesn't become boring.Why did I book a PT?January 2016 I woke up one morning in pain from injuries in a car crash 7 months before. Physio wasn't helping I was so desperate to be out of pain and get back to kickboxing so I went online and researched trainers. Who could help with injury rehabilitation.Why Mcleary PT?Michael answered my ridiculous list of questions and reassured me that he would work at my pace to help rehabilitate the injuries. I felt confident he was the right trainer and the following week we started to train. Initially I booked 24 sessions and although they helped a lot I was a long way from where I needed to be but my back and neck were already giving me much less pain. McLeary PT - #besttrainerever!

A bad car crash left me with neck, lower spine and rotator cuffI injuries that no amount of physio seemed to cure, being in pain, unable to go to the gym I also gained weight . I booked a free consultation with Michael and he suggested an 8 week plan. I can't thank him enough for succeeding where physio failed by patiently working through rehabilitating my core strength and lower back, the shoulder took much longer but he persevered with me and although it will never be heeled I am much more able.

Its been really hard work but with the personalised nutrition plan he prepared along with him continually moving the goalposts and keeping workouts challenging I have achieved 2 stone in weight loss and lots of inches of body reduction. But more than that is my fitness level and stamina!! I've done 2 half marathons which weren't part of my plan and have a third coming up. Ive even registered to do London marathon next year!!

If you need a trainer McLeary PT is your man!! He has the patience of a lot of saints, he puts up with me!!

18 months since I booked him and these days its just maintenance sessions 1-2 times per week but he really is a fab trainer, and I can't recommend him enough.

Since I started working in an office job in the City years ago, I have done little to no exercise. My sister and I started training with Michael last summer aiming to change that! Since then my fitness levels have greatly increased and I have had lots of comments from my friends on the weight I've lost. Michael pushes you as hard as you can go but understands everyone's limitations; on occasions when we've had dodgy wrists or knees he's adjusted the exercises to accommodate for that. I'd definitely recommend Michael as a personal trainer because, as well as really knowing what he's talking about, he's also easy to have a conversation with which makes the sessions all the more enjoyable. Having recently had a child I was looking to lose the weight I had put on through pregnancy. I wanted a trainer that would understand my goals and needs, as well as understanding my limitations after having not exercised for so long, and Michael was able to do just that. He was patient and thorough in his explanation of exercises and his nutrition plan was especially helpful as it contained a lot of information and was so easy to follow. If you're looking for a personal trainer that motivates you and is willing to go the extra mile to get you to achieve your goals, then I would definitely recommend Michael. More...
