Always love McAlisters. Visited Texas recently and was so surprised when this place was next to where I was working. The guy who helped me was super nice and approachable, we had good banter. McAlister's sandwiches and soups are pretty awesome  :) I've done the rueban which was excellent (really big), my boyfriend gets the New Yorker every time because he loves it, aand today I tried the spicy turkey melt with cream of mushroom soup. The soup at McAlister's is better than Panera's. It's so thick and delicious I've never had a bad soup there. My bf got Mac and cheese for the first time there and it was really good:) I've never had the nachos or spuds or salads but I know you can never go wrong with a sandwich, soup, sweet tea, or Mac and cheese. The only other time I've eaten at McAlister's was at an airport and I wasn't impressed. I decided to try it out again today and got the Southwest Chicken Avocado Salad. I will definitely be back again!

Absolutely the best place to eat on campus. I've been going here since 2013 and both the food and service have always been exceptional. If you're not sure what to get, go for the memphian, french dip, or a broccoli and cheddar bread bowl. Have been here 2x now and I am in LOVE! My favorite sandwich is the Newyorker. It is loaded with meat and it melts in your mouth. I have also tried the turkey and this is also very good.  My hubby and I usually split 2 items. However, we won't be doing that here anymore. I have realized that I just can't share my Newyorker sandwich anymore. Call me selfish, but I love it tooooo much! By the way, we usually get the side dishes of mac and cheese and potato salad, which are great. Free refills on drinks, how can you go wrong.Until I see my Newyorker again, I will be thinking of you! McAlister's Deli opened in 1989 and now has 400 stores in 28 states. They promote  healthy, tasty,  choices in a relaxing atmosphere with great sweet tea. Attending Riverfest we we approached by a couple promoting McAlister's and they gave us two passes for two free meals. I reluctantly accepted them thinking there must be something else to this deal. Maybe you receive two free meals after spending $100.00 or something like that. I would later be surprised to find out we received two complete free meals, dessert and great tea for free.   I really like the option of two smaller menu choices as I wanted a sandwich and a loaded potato. I was almost at a 5 star review for the service and the food. Both were great and deserve the 5 stars. It took a little time to order because the cashier was a little confused, but I don't blame them for it nor that when I got my food, there was a mistake that needed to be sent back. They quickly fixed that problem. The reason for the 4 and not the 5 star review was cleanliness and the bathrooms. My wife went to the bathroom and informed me that they desperately needed to be updated and it wasn't a good experience. She also wasn't impressed with her food. She said she used to go to McAlister's in South Bend Indiana where her family is from probably 4 times a week and she loved every second and she didn't get the same feeling at this one.
