Not wanting to have Pheasant Lane Mall food-court food while Christmas shopping, our family stopped at Maza Mediterranean Grill, on Daniel Webster Highway, for great tasting, healthy, Mediterranean food.  It's very close to the mall, in front of Trader Joe's.     The lamb/beef gyros were nicely spiced and delicious, but they had been on the metal rotisserie spit just a tad long, were dry and required lots of chewing. They should be moist and succulent. We gave them a pass bec it was the end of the day.   The Jerusalem salad & dressing was delicious with fresh parsley and oregano in it (with unexpected jalapeno? spiciness), smooth & tasty red pepper hummus, the baba ghanoush a wonderfully smoked & mashed, silky dip & lemony, tangy, stuffed grape leaves.   I really love when food is made and doted on from scratch and considering this was manned by Caucasian young men, the food was surprisingly authentic and really good, after being on your feet for hours trampling around Nashua. So much better than bland mall chain food.   2 complaints: We were charged for 3 drinks we didn't order, luckily our daughter checked the $40 bill and we were refunded. My teenager, who has interest in design, said the LED lights were harsh and glaring. Softened lighting would create a more welcoming, cozy eating ambiance. More...

Delicious and exactly what my wife and I wanted. They have a kids menu so we figured we were set. Our picky eaters didn't like the Mac and cheese (I liked it). But amazingly both kids loved the chicken kebab "is it spicy, dad? No, princess."We really liked the hummus too. The gyros are 2.5 x the size of a normal Gyro, which was delicious beef / lamb for me. It was 11 bucks with a side(hummus) so it's not cheap but it's a lot of food. We are going back soon. More...

I'm out with my daughter and grand children and decided to check this place out. I'm so glad we did - This place is amazing! I've driven by so many times - I don't know why it took me so long to stop. I will definitely be coming back. I continue to have a positive experience at Maza, so decided to use them to cater a party for me. Best decision I made! I got the complete feast for 12 people. The food was amazing and my party was a success! Everyone raved about how delicious everything was. I highly recommend them for parties! More...

One of my favorites for sure.. lots of healthy options. The food is just great.. I always have such a hard time choosing sides. Pickled beets, turnip, hummus, tabouli.. exc.. the reason I didn't give it 5 was some of the staff are young & unprofessional. I feel like they snicker and judge the customers. I ordered a few extra sides once (all veggies good for you stuff)  & the two young boys were sly smiling like I was ordering 10 cupcakes for myself. Pretty uncomfortable..  I'd probably go there way more than I do if the reception was better, because other then that the place is my favorite hands down More...

Lunch: I ordered Plate No. 1 which is Chicken Shawarma (Halal) from the Menu Board which is very visible to look at. Then i choose 3 sides. So i chose roasted veggies, white rice & tabouleh. It comes with 2 kind of white sauce on the side & pita bread.  Its my first time to check in at this place so i don't know what to expect. And as i start to eat, i can't help but saying to myself, wow its so delicious, chicken was tender and i dipped it at the white sauce and makes it better. Veggies were so tasty & tabouleh was so fresh. So good, that i have to come back for supper.  Everything taste the same except for the Chicken, which is not tender anymore, maybe because the good parts were gone earlier. Overall i enjoyed the Mediterranean taste experience and would come back again for lunch. Its like a Chipotle styled food grill except it's halal foods. More...

We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I had the Falafel Plate and my Wife had the Falafel Wrap. This is not a fancy restaurant and a place that we would never have given a second look had it not been for the reviews here. The food and service was very good. My only negative comment is that some of the falafels were somewhat overdone and hard. We will return and I'll probably try the Shawarma. More...

We got three gyros and a Kibbe plate. The gyros were great, probably among the best in the area (the place in East Nashua is good but hard to get to for me). The Kibbe was a bit dry. I'll try a few other dishes on the menu and report back. There have been a number of restaurants at this location over the years and the tough part is that it's a bit hard to get in from the main road. Hopefully they stick around as Nashua needs good Mediterranean food. More...

We were on a journey from Providence, Rhode Island, to the beautiful lakes area in New Hampshire. We stopped at Maza, basically because of the Yelp reviews. We are a family of five - two adults, three young girls. Some of us had the falafel wraps. Some of us had the vegetarian platters where you could choose five dishes. Favorites include: the baba ganoush, the beets in pomegranate syrup, the tomato/cucumber salad, the pickled cucumbers, the chick peas, the strained eggplant in a slightly zesty sauce.Luckily I have left overs to eat in my hotel room at 11 pm with everyone sleeping.  Nashua - Providence is spoilt with great restaurants, but unfortunately we've nothing compared to Maza when it comes to Mediterranean, Palistinian/Lebanese cuisine! In the area shopping and it was lunch time! Decided to go Mediterranean based on the options on a Sunday afternoon.Looked at their menu on line and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. I have passed by in the past and thought it was a sit down/server kinda place only to be surprised that it was almost like a Chipotle by Mediterranean offerings. My friend decided to get the Chicken Shawarma which included three sides and she chose lentils, tabouli and grape leaves. I decided on the lamb kafta plate also includes three sides and I chose a grape leaves, hummus and the fresh roasted vegetables. Both come with either white or wheat pita that they make in-house and is warmed before it's served. The server informed me a fresh batch of kafta was being made so it would take another 5 minutes or so...was totally fine with me. My friend was served hers first so we started sharing that and it took maybe 10 minutes before a server brought me tray over. The portions in both plates were huge! The shawarma was sliced and a bit over cooked for me. I've had more tender/better but my friend tended to be ok with it. Ample lentils that didn't have a distinct flavor. The chicken was served over the lentils. Tabbouli was fresh and good, grape leaves were ok...the filling seemed mashed vs granular rice which is what I'm accustomed to having. The kafta was good, a bit on the chewy vs melt in your mouth tenderness but the flavor/spices were good. My friend it like the hummus and said there was an aftertaste to it for her but I thought it was fine. Good in-house pita bread. They also had a Mediterranean chili which they allowed us to try and we would've definitely gotten that as well but we were afraid that we had too much food ...which we definitely did.Friendly service, good food, great value, clean restaurant.  Overall, a very satisfying stop for about $12 each. We left very full and would return to try other options. More...

I love how the chicken was grilled so perfectly, There was such a delightful crisp on each bite. It came with a bread of some sort and I have idea how to use it, so I bit a whole into. AMAZING food and service. Highly recommend if you are in Nashua and looking for Mediterranean food. The restaurant is pretty casual but has a nice interior and ambience. You order your food in a Chipotle style fashion... you pick a main (gyro/falafel/etc) and then you can choose from an option of sides and toppings. I ordered the falafel plate which comes with five big falafel, a freshly baked pita and three sides. I asked for baba ganoush, beet salad, and grape leaves. The falafels themselves were great. They were fried fresh when I ordered. The interior was moist and it was very flavorful. I really liked the sides. I could taste the Tahini in the baba ganoush which was really nice. The beet salad was cool and refreshing. The grape leaves were average though, not as moist as I would have liked.Service was fast, staff was friendly, food was amazing, price was very reasonable. We went to Maza after bookmarking it for a long time. Normally we are never in that area but fortunately we were going to Nashua for meeting someone who was right across from Maza. Decided to get some dinner before meeting with my buddy.Maza is typical order yourself food cafeteria style. Salads , wraps and dinner plates are your most typical choices. you can get a dinner plate with 3 sides ( even rice is considered a side here whereas rice normally is default and then sides are added) so i got the Chicken Schwarma plate with Bulgar and lentils , khus khus salad and Red pepper hummus. Also got a side of Lamb kofte kebab which was like $4 extra. Wifey got a falafel plate with fatuous salad , pickled turnips and tabbouleh.Overall food taste was pretty good nothing extra ordinary but good and fresh. Except for Chicken Schwarma which was dry, too much of cinnamon and nutmeg and no other taste.  Lamb kofte kebab was good. Their house made hot sauce was also really good. Falafels were good as well, fried perfectly where crunchy outside and soft inside without being too dry as falafel tends to be at some places. Khus Khus salad was a little bland could taste the dressing in it but very little.  Red pepper hummus was also good. Overall a great place to go to but Chicken Schwarma needs improvement for sure . The food prices are pretty decent for the value and quantity. Hopefully next time i will try the chicken kebab which were being grilled to order. More...
