Max was our wedding photographer and I will try my best to accurately express how wonderful it was to work with him. From the very beginning, Max was very communicative and helpful. He met with us before we even had a contract to help us figure out what we wanted, if our wants/his style were a good fit, and also just to ease our minds about the whole process of booking a wedding photographer. Max kept an open line of communication with us from the date we booked him through the day of the wedding. I was a little worried about being awkward on camera, but Max did an excellent job keeping us laughing and making us feel natural. He sent us a handful of sneak peek shots about 2 weeks after the wedding, and got the rest of the photos (~900!!) edited and turned back over to us in record time! I can't say enough great things about Max and his team. From start to finish, he was so easy to chat with, quickly got a hold of our style, and was in touch with us every step of the way. He honestly went above and beyond. I specifically HATE being in front of the camera and was seriously like "I don't know how you're going to deal with me" but it wasn't a problem at all. Half the time I felt like he wasn't there and took so many amazing candid photos of me, my friends & family that came out so great. I wouldn't have those little memories if it wasn't for Max. And when he did need to take photos of me, he told me what to do in a way that made sense and was easy! For a camera-shy person, he just made it so easy. He and his team were there all night, we had such a good time and was happy to include him in the fun and dancing! Seriously cannot thank you enough for the amazing photos well have for ages. From the start, it was clear that Max was the right photographer for us. Our wedding day shoot couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. Max has a unique ability to create a zero pressure environment while he is shooting. He was very relaxed, and as a result, my husband and I always felt very comfortable with him. I knew that by proposing to my girlfriend at the time, now wife, we would embark on a journey that every engaged couple encounters of taking photo after photo… after photo. As a guy who dislikes the thought of posing for photos, I assumed tough times were ahead. I was wrong. Max to the rescue. Not only was Max flexible in scheduling a time that fit our schedule, he made it feel so easy and smooth all while capturing the perfect blend between candid and posed shots. Before I knew it, we had all the shots we set out to get and then some. His personality keeps you comfortable and relaxed throughout the shoot, which shows in the beautiful photos he produced for us. His quality, creative eye and ability to find and take advantage of natural lighting makes him, hands down, one of the standout photographers in San Diego. Max is the way to go. My 9 yr old was nervous but Max spoke to her the whole time and by the ride back home she said sis had fun! And during the shoot she was just talking and laughing away! I love creating unique photos that are compelling and moody. I believe that I get to offer clients unique photography that they cannot get anywhere else.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm passionate about working for myself so that I can control my income and spend time with my family. Photography started as a hobby but has turned into a passion that is more rewarding than any job that I've held.
