One of the best little garden cafes around the area. Â My wife, my kid, and I came here for brunch. Â The best part is the patio-like garden atmosphere here. The trees give a nice shade with artsy garden-like European motif. Â Interior is about medium-sized and a group of 2-4 should fit fine. Â Chicken Pesto Panini was especially excellent with a smooth even flavor with potato on the side, nice and crispy. Tomato Basil Bisque, which was the soup of the day, was flavorful--possibly a tad sour maybe (?) b/c of sprinkles of lime, but we finished the bowl. If you check in, you might get a dessert. Â The strawberry crepe was delicious. Nice and toasty, with strawberry blending well with the chocolate. Â We also had a banana crepe, which was also good. Â For drinks, we had a latte and an Americano. Â The latte was particularly smooth and great. Â Very friendly service. Â The food is quite good. Â Atmosphere is great, if you dig the garden-like motif. Â For parking, you can probably park in one of the public parking lots or structures nearby. More...

This is my to-go place for breakfast, specially during the weekend. Staff is always smiling and ready to help. The food tastes like home made, and by now I have a few favorites: breakfast wrap, goat cheese and tomato crepe, and turkey club sandwich. You can't go wrong with these. My girlfriend had her wedding reception here and I just loved it! Â The garden ambiance was lovely, greenery everywhere, very cozy and welcoming. Â The food was very good also, everyone seemed to enjoy it. Â The staff and the owners, Zara and Mathew were also very accommodating, they all worked very hard. My husband and I had our wedding at Matthew's Garden Cafe on 11/16/19 and it was the best decision EVER! Â In spring, our experience started off with a welcoming smile back when we were selecting venues and the warmth of the owners, Matthew and Zahra, continued throughout our journey. Â Every step of the way, they were there to discuss with us the preparations and were helpful with recommendations, such as getting a spanish guitarist to play during cocktail hour. Â We dropped in to the restaurant several times during our engagement and every time left with a warm feeling in our hearts that we were well taken care of. Â Up to and on the wedding day, they flawlessly executed the arrival of multiple vendors (cake delivery, dance floor, etc) and set up all the decor so beautifully that it took our breath away to enter such a lovely venue for our reception. Â And the FOOD - plenty of it and beyond tasty - even our guests complimented the chefs. Â We had appetizers such as bruchetta, dolmas, cheese platter and fresh fruit. Â Our meal consisted of two types of salads, 3 types of rice (including the owner's speciality), grilled vegetables and beef and chicken kabobs. Â The STAFF was extremely attentive and professional! We've been coming to Matthew's Garden Cafe for close to 3 years because it is a real jewel of Pacific Palisades. I love the huevos rancheros but the chicken soups are also fantastic. Matthew and Zara with their friendly staff have made this a place of great quality food and wonderful service. Beautiful ambiance! My favorite dish on the menu is the huevos rancheros- yum! The sauce on top is smooth and pairs so well with the egg, bean and tortillas. The presentation was great as well. This is a nice place to have a peaceful, easygoing breakfast. The fountain and little details put into this cafe are very special. This is an adorable little spot just off of Sunset Blvd. in Pacific Palisades. It was a Friday afternoon (around 2) and the place was rather quiet. We sat in the breezy walkway that leads to the back patio. Super cute place with a very cozy atmosphere. Our server was very sweet and suggested the Tomato, Basil, and Goat Cheese Crepe which, by the way, I devoured, it was so good! For dessert, we had a lemon sugar and cinnamon crepe...I would never have thought to mix those two flavors but it works...delicious. More...

This is amazing. I got the grilled veggie sandwich with mixed green salad and a cup of carrot soup. Oh my. Everything was delicious. The veggie sandwich was sweet and savory. The carrot soup was like a thick bisque with layers of delicate flavor.Speaking of which, this might not be the best place for kiddos. This place will make you nut. It is a god tier brunch place even when empty. I went in at 12:30 and it was a nice little place located in the city. Our family of 11 had Brunch yesterday at Matthew's to celebrate the start of Hanukkah. The restaurant's atmosphere is just as it's name, a delightful Garden Café! It's a hidden gem in a lovely courtyard and the food is as good as the atmosphere. There is such a sense of pride in the service and the staff couldn't be nicer. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I was so proud of myself for choosing such a wonderful spot to celebrate and exchange gifts. This place is my new favorite spot. Even though it is a bit far from where I live I will definitely come here more often. It is perfect for brunch . The food is AMAZING. The customer service is A++. The owner is the nicest person you will meet. He saw us waiting for our food a bit longer than usual and brought us Dolma on the house. The food is super fresh and since I have food sensitivity they made it just the way I wanted. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is super chill and relaxing. What a quaint and lovely place.  I've been coming to Pacific Palisades during the weekends and noticed this place.  I told myself that this would be a good place to have a birthday brunch.  So that was why I was here with my family last weekend.  We had a lovely time.  Service was wonderful.  They don't accept reservations on weekends but one of my nieces worked nearby and arrived early.  She requested a table and they courteously accommodated her.  They even asked her which table she would like.  And of course, the service was really nice during our brunch.The food was delicious*. Even the children's sandwich (peanut butter, banana & honey) was delicious (we had a bite of it).  I'm surprised that they offered a children's menu since this place is quite small.  Good thing we had our little one on a tight leash, so to speak.  *I had the Banana-Nutella Crepe with a side of Fried Eggs.  And my nieces' orders:  Eggs Benedict and another crepe which I believe was called  Tomato Goat Cheese.For the birthday dessert, they served us Strawberry-Nutella Crepe.  It was deliciou as well and it was free.  Thank you, Matthew's Garden!Parking:  There are metered-street parking but we parked at CVS (shhh). Lovely place! Went to celebrate with  an intimate group of friends of six. We made a reservation for a Sunday afternoon. We were seated promptly with a smile. Our server was on point. The owner came over and introduced herself and was on deck helping out with her beautiful smile and elegant poise. The food is priced a tad higher than my normal spending, but it is well worth it! The outdoor patio is just adorable and shaded. I ordered a Caprese sandwhich, which was deliciously wonderful with the right amount of cheese, and roasted tomatoes matched with a mixed green salad (or a choice of side seasonal fruit).
