Booking Matt for as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made! From our first chat on FaceTime we knew Matt was the photographer we wanted to shoot our wedding day! He made us feel so at ease and not being big posers he reassured us that our wedding photography would be really natural, and we were overwhelmed with the shots Matt captured. On the day it didn’t feel like we had a stranger taking our photos, but more like a friend. Although, most of the time Matt was so discreet and managed to capture so many amazing photos that we (and our friends and family) didn’t realise were being taken. We cannot recommend Matt enough. From the consultation to the big day we were at ease with what would be happening. Matt captured some amazing moments of not just us but of our family and friends. We are so happy that we chose Matt to be our wedding photographer. My husband and I are so so pleased that we chose Matt to be our wedding photographer. As soon as we met Matt for our initial consultation we knew that we’d get on with him; he is really friendly and is so experienced! He travelled all the way from Essex to our venue, Paschoe House in Devon, to have a look around for good portrait spots for us a month before our wedding. came across Matt by chance at a wedding fayre at the start of planning my wedding and the photos and albums he had on display really caught my eye as being the perfect style for what I was looking for - a really good balance between relaxed, spontaneous pictures and the usual more "staged" shots. After meeting Matt for the first time with my husband to be we both agreed immediately that we wanted him to be our photographer. He is a genuinely nice guy - very laid back while at the same time professional and very easy to chat to and discuss our ideas with. We had a meeting at the venue with him closer to the date and he gave his suggestions for shots and took on board our list of photos we wanted him to get. On the day he fitted in perfectly. So many of our guests commented on what a nice guy he was and was never "in the way" - he even put up with kids pestering him and throwing paper planes in his face, all with a smile! We first met Matt when he was the photographer at a friends wedding and alongside the fact that he is a nice guy and easy to get along with, the great thing that struck me about Matt, is that as a photographer he makes himself invisible. He wasn't the typical photographer, shouting orders and sticking the lens in peoples faces, like you so often see at weddings. He blended into the wedding party and concentrated on taking beautiful photos. I checked out his website and his photos speak for themselves. Beautiful lighting and intimate, natural shots. Just what we were looking for. On our big day, Matt was a calming influence, making us laugh and generally helping to keep the nerves at bay, with all of our guests commenting how friendly and nice he was. When looking for a photographer, we wanted someone who did reportage style photography, gave a set price for the whole day not someone who charges for additional hours, and also didn't extort us afterwards when we wanted to get hold of our photographs. Matt Wing photo was the perfect fit.

He arrived on the day as early as we needed him and stayed as late as we requested with no fuss and liaised with us hourly throughout the day to make sure we were happy with everything.

Not only offering a fantastic overall price for the day but we also got a file with all the photos from the day in, so we can do whatever we want with them and can pass them onto or print as many as we like with no extra charge which is fantastic.

Overall a very friendly and professional person who did a fantastic job and all the guests said he was friendly and approachable when requesting his time.

We were looking for a modern and reasonably priced photographer in Essex and that's exactly what we found in Matt!
We first met Matt in London and felt really comfortable with him and totally confident in his ability to capture our wedding day.

Matts approach on the day was perfect, he was professional, calm and blended in with all our guests. We had so many compliments about how friendly Matt was and most thought he was a close friend of ours.

Matt did everything we asked for and more, including rounding up 250 Greeks together for a group photo!!! He had an idea to take us away from the wedding after the first dance to get some shots at sunset and they are some of our favourite photos from the day.

Shortly after the wedding Matt uploaded all the edited photos to our online gallery and gave us a download code. Within a few weeks we had ALL of our photos in a beautifully presented USB box along with a few extras treats.

We know people who have had bad experiences with wedding photographers but Matt is amazing at what he does and we really really cannot recommend him enough!

Matt, thank you for capturing our day so perfectly and for being part of our wedding, your work will be treasured by us forever!

We were quite daunted by the task of choosing a wedding photographer for our big day and so when we were recommended to Matt it was such a relief and we knew we were in safe hands. We met Matt 18 months before our wedding day and we were really impressed with his portfolio and professionalism. He kept in touch with us beforehand and even came to our wedding venue to talk everything through.

On the day he was on time and we left him to do what he does best. He captured everything we wanted him to and even when I was running late he made sure we had those important shots before the ceremony. Our guests barely noticed Matt was there, and he struck the perfect balance of posed and natural shots. Matt checked with us before he left to make sure we were happy with the coverage which we were really impressed with.

We met Matt when we had been engaged for a few months and just starting to really get into the planning of it all. We had a couple of drinks in a random bar in Bishop's Stortford, and after looking through his portfolio, we knew that Matt would be perfect to take the pictures for our laid back barn wedding. Choosing the date for our wedding was actually influenced by his availability! It was so wonderful on the day to feel comfortable with the person taking pictures of you, which can be a bit of a daunting activity! Matt always made us feel at ease, laughing and joking and we are absolutely thrilled how our photographs have come out. Where do we begin, well it all started with Matt's photo of a bride and groom with there feet up relaxing. It was exactly the style we wanted, not formal photography although he excels at that as well, but we wanted something a little different as a record of our day. Our wedding was not the conventional format, we had decided on a murder mystery, treasure hunt with Foxtrots and waltzes to end the evening, rather than the usual disco - a 1930's country house party style. All sounds fun, but as far as pictures go it could have been a nightmare, but with Matt 's pictures now complete we have the most wonderful record of our day, including all the bits that we missed when so much was going on. We were not even aware of Matt's presence for many of the pictures and have had a good laugh trying to work out where he took certain pictures from! Matt was exceptional in every regard. Hopefully you only get married once, so there are no second chances at getting the right moments captured. Matt caught everything we could have wanted and did so in such an inconspicuous manner that we really had no idea we were being photographed - he just blended in from start to finish. From being in several locations across London at the crack of dawn to managing tricky lighting conditions with a temperamental March day, he got the lot and every photo was perfectly balanced. His editing was superb, every photo looked natural which is what we had asked for. He was efficient in getting through the formal photographs without taking up too much time and not once did we have to guide or direct him, he just slotted in and was extremely professional. He was also a pleasure to deal with making the experience a lot more reassuring and simple than it could otherwise have been. When my husband and I first met Matt, we knew we wanted him to photograph our special day. He was so professional and such a nice guy that we instantly felt comfortable around him. As you can imagine having a stranger take pictures of you can be quite daunting and would sometimes make you feel vulnerable but with Matt it was different. My wife and I spent a lot of time looking for a photographer to capture our special day and the moment we saw Matt's website, we both knew instantly that we wanted to use him, which was made even more sure of when we met Matt for the first time for our initial consultation, we both felt immediately relaxed and it was like we had known him for many years, we knew we would both be at ease on the big day having Matt around.

On the day, the photo’s Matt captured were simply amazing, everything we had asked for and nothing was too much trouble. We had met a couple of photographers and their photos were ok, but there Personality or something was missing, we just didn't feel comfortable with any of them! ! Then we met Matt who was extemely friendly and polite and we felt very comfortable with him straight away even before he'd even shown us his work! His photography style was perfect for us, and we decided there and then that we wanted him to work alongside us for our special day! (We did not take the role of the photographer lightly and would only settle for the best - after all these are how your memories are going to be kept of your big day)
