How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Ask yourself a couple of questions, is it big enough to create a comfortable space? It is likely that the walls, roof and floor will need insulated to keep you warm / cool and this may squeeze the available space. Could we peel back the ceiling (if any) to create a vaulted ceiling and more space upwards. Do you want to bring in more natural light, this could be via new windows or rooflights above.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
We come out to survey the property and return 2/3 layout options for the new space. We'll think about how the space is insulated and any new windows, doors and fitted cabinetry for example. We'll then finalise the design, apply for planning if required and following that move onto the technical design which outlines how the work will be executed - the nuts and bolts of the build. This is issued to a contractor to first price and then build from. We attend site during the build to ensure the work is being completed to your satisfaction.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Ask yourself a couple of questions, what height is there currently, is it tall enough to stand in? If not then don't worry there can still be a way to achieve the necessary head room with a little clever design. We frequently work on properties within conservation areas so can often navigate more stringent planning requirements. What do you want to achieve in the new space, a bedroom and ensuite? Think about where the waste water connections will be for example. Of course we can help plan all this for you.

What’s your interior design process?
We come out to survey the property and return a minimum of 3/4 designs for each space. We'll think about, fittings, finishes, colours and textures and work from any Pinterest board, mood board you may have already put together. We'll work collaboratively together towards a preferred design and then finalise. Following that we move onto the technical design which outlines how the work will be executed - the nuts and bolts of the build including specification, fabric links and sourcing etc. is all set out.
