Tucked away from busy Hackney road is this little court yard filled with businesses in containers and in a weird way it really works. The people who work there are incredible friendly and welcoming. I had a deep tissue massage that lasted 1 hour and during the massage I could feel some of the tension knots disappear! I booked an appointment with Rita and would highly recommend her. I have been coming for around a year now to Masaj and I have never had a less than fabulous massage. My favourite therapist is Kate and I would recommend her for so many reasons. I used to be a deep tissue pain only massage client but Kate has shown me the way of true healing via intuitive deep tissue (without the trauma) Really do not think twice about booking a massage here. Such a wonderful massage with Rita! She is so lovely and her treatments are perfect. She works very deeply into the muscles all while being nurturing and supportive - you have a great sense of release after and feel like you've been re-set.

Had an excellent massage done by Naomi and felt utterly relaxed after the treatment and lots of tension release. After a massage you are also provided with tips on how to avoid the tension issues (if that is your reason for coming) as well as given a delicious juice. The rooms are decorated really delicate and the products they sell are equally beautiful as they are ethically made by mostly local makers. I had a wonderful massage today at Masaj. The receptionist is an absolute gem - friendly without being over the top and just makes you super comfortable. You get a selection of scents and the treatment rooms themselves are very peaceful. I loved that my therapist didn't play typical plinky plonky spa music while I had my massage - it allowed me to fully relax and just enjoy my massage. Just had an amazing 60 min deep tissue massage with Rita. The entire experience was great from check in to venue to massage through to the check out. You are able to chose your scent from a range of great choices and Rita consulted with me before we began. I could really tell she was identifying and working out the issues in my back. Venue was very clean, nice, and calming. I felt extremely comfortable and at ease throughout. Afterwards Rita explained to me where my issues were and gave tips on how to help address it such as stretches to target the areas. After checking out I was given a very refreshing ginger shot! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a proper massage therapist. Do make sure you arrive early to fill out paperwork and have time for the consultation. I will definitely be returning! More...
