We first met Martin when he photographed my best friend Catherine's wedding where I was a bridesmaid. He was lovely to work with on the day and when the images came through they were amazing! When my husband and I got engaged we didn't even bother speaking to another photographer as we knew we wanted Martin. We got married at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury last September, and as expected it was a joy to have Martin as part of our day. Neither of us are huge fans of having our photo taken, but he was so good at putting us at ease and also just catching little moments of our day when we didn't even realise! The grounds- beautiful , lovely large space for holding wedding receptions , the only downside was it was rather chilly in the evening with all the doors & windows open , but guess that’s the time of the year

Simply the Best!! Coombe Lodge provided us with the most perfect setting for our wedding day celebrations. We initially met Becca Young an events manager who became our link and led us through the whole event. We had exclusive access for the whole day so the house felt like a home from home. We had a choice of menus, canapés, wine and evening options to fit our budget and personal preferences. We had a planning meeting during which Becca made really useful notes and offered helpful suggestions. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed, family occupied the twelve rooms with other guests staying in the plentiful accommodation nearby. In the months between booking and the actual event Becca stayed in touch about arrangements. Senior Manager Tom, indeed all the staff also made us feel welcome as we arranged pre event visits to finalise those small but important features for the day. By the time we came to our wedding 10 months after booking we had built a good rapport with staff and felt very much at home. On the day there was a huge amount of setting up to be completed by Coombe Lodge staff whilst we were getting married in our local church, photographs in frames, games, candy table, wedding cake, post box, pictures, liaison with outside services florist etc on our behalf. By the time we arrived there was a seamless transition from the glorious wedding the day before to our equally incredible event. During the day everything went like clockwork, the food was great, the wine flowed, the staff smiled and were attentive. The photographer was evident, magician, DJ & live band all accommodated by Becca and the team, we hardly noticed the transitions. We know the staff worked really hard on our behalf and for our guests, nothing was too much trouble but this occurred in the most understated and unobtrusive way. The next morning the debris was cleared away by the time we rose and the breakfast room was decorated with all our flowers & wedding paraphernalia. It was stunning & such a nice touch. So many of our guests have said that it was the best wedding that they’d ever been to, and whilst there were highlights and we are of course biased, the memories created and shared on that day would not have been possible without the slick operation that Coombe Lodge yet is which services the most human and emotional of events. Martin is a truly talented photographer who photographed our pre-wedding session last September in Paris. He is the most passionate and enthusiastic photographer we have ever met. Both my fiancé and I are camera-shy, so we were quite concerned about the shooting experience at the beginning. Martin managed to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. He possesses the skills and techniques for capturing the perfect shots in daytime, nighttime and even during rainy days. We had to shoot in the pouring rain on our second day of shooting and we all ended up soaking wet. The rain didn't deter his enthusiasm and he managed to capture some of our favourite photos next to the Eiffel Tower. We love EVERY SINGLE photo he took and all the photos look stunning. Martin is the best photographer we could ever ask for. He was friendly, professional, and we really liked the fact that he was constantly full of creative ideas when finding the best shots. We were also very impressed with the slideshow he made. The song he chose was excellent and we are now planning to put that song onto the playlist for our wedding day. Martin was our photographer in May 2018 and we still can't get over the amazing pictures he took on our wedding day at St Audries Park Wedding Venue. He was the first photographer we met and we knew we wanted him to take our pictures. He loves what he does and is passionate about photography and has great skills which we could see in the pictures he took. We also had a pre-wedding photo session with him which was a lot of fun. Martin was so involved from the beginning and gathered all the information about us and what we liked etc. so he could adapt to what was important for us. One thing that was immediately apparent when we were searching for a photographer for our wedding , was that there are a huge demographic of personalities , prices and skill levels available. . We met with several other photographers and in no way could imagine trusting them to cover our big day..As our wedding was a multicultural event, we were very interested in Martins website as he has clearly been taken all round the world with his chosen profession.Upon our first meeting it was clear that we were dealing with a real professional; Martin had a clear plan of how the day and lead up to the event would be organised, he listened carefully to our requests and politely advised us of things that would and wouldn’t be viable.On the day itself Martin didn’t disappoint; I was amazed by his ability to assertively organise and co-ordinate such a large group of people without ever feeling obtrusive or disturbing the flow of the celebrations. It was a pleasure to watch him work. Although we had only known Martin a short time, he made us feel like we were working with a friend not an employee and that relaxed feel was reflected in our photos.Both us and all are guests were blown away by the quality of the images that Martin took and we really couldn’t have hoped for any more.I cannot recommend the entire service offered by Martin enough and commend him highly for the effort he put into our wedding day.C and L More...

We used Coombe Lodge as our wedding venue and it was one of the best decisions we made. In the build-up to the wedding, the staff, particularly Becca our coordinator, were patient and understanding and took away a lot of the stress involved. On the day they were fully professional and well-organised meaning we didn't have to worry about anything. The transitions between events of the day were seamless, even our slightly out-of-the-normal fire show. Becca kept the whole day running so smoothly that all we had to do was relax and enjoy our big day. As to the venue itself, it is a perfect venue with great views and a stunning interior. Couldn’t recommend Coombe Lodge enough. We had the most amazing wedding there yesterday which we will treasure forever. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating, helpful and friendly. Even the kitchen staff went out of their way when we had a cake disaster. Our wedding coordinator, Tom Baxter was incredible through it all and make sure the day ran without a hitch. All of our guests were extremely complimentary with the accommodation, canapés and wedding breakfast. Would highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding! 10 years ago, I attended a wedding at coombe lodge and knew then I wanted to get married there! A few years later, I met my now husband! When we got engaged I told him about coombe lodge, as we drove up the drive on our first viewing, he said let's book it! From our first meeting with Tom, we knew it was the one! Throughout the planning process, Jasmine was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, always so calm, even when I felt I wasn't! The day itself, despite the rain was perfect in every way! The food was delicious and we received many compliments on the venue itself and the food specifically. We got married at Coombe Lodge on 14th April 2018 It honestly was the most perfect day. The food was fantastic the staff were lovely and the venue and grounds are stunning. We can’t thank you all enough for all your help. We were so lucky on the day, it was the first proper day of spring after having all of that snow and cold weather. The daffodils were out and I actually got my spring wedding that I’d dreamt of having. We had our wedding booked for 2years and although we thought at the time it was so far away, it defiantly was worth the wait. If your thinking of getting married here, you certainly won’t be disappointed. Thank you again to all the staff that made our day so special. Where to start? On our very first meeting with Martin we knew he was the photographer for us. He seemed to understand what it was we were looking for straight away. The photos he showed us were beautiful, his song choices were fantastic and the atmosphere and feeling you got from these choices made us immediately choose him as our photographer. (And it was actually one of these songs that my wife walked down the aisle to in the end, having heard it here for the first time).One other thing that really stood out to us about Martin was that he was excited, and I mean SUPER excited, to photograph our wedding venue: Villa Eliana, Sorrento, Italy. On our wedding day Martin spent the run up to the ceremony with my soon to be wife and captured some fantastic pre-wedding bridal party rituals. However, he did not neglect the groomsman, managing to spend time with me and my best man, photographing some fantastic natural shots of laughter and last minute preparations.During the ceremony Martin blended in with the rest of the guests and you couldn't tell he was there - apart from the evidence he later delivered in what were some truly stunning wedding photos. Every one of our guests told us post-wedding how attentive, respectful and none-stop Martin was. He spent plenty of time capturing our every photographical whim and managed to get in all of our family shots, as well as 3 or 4 'private' sessions with just my new wife and I. These included a couple of day sessions, an evening and a night session.After the wedding was over Martin was quick to present all of the photos, including some prints and electronic versions for us. Once we had these, he made sure he was reminding us to choose the photos for the album that we were having made through Martin. I'm sure we haven't been the easiest or most helpful clients at times but Martin's professionalism and delivery of the end product never wavered. He clearly has a great passion for what he does and takes pride in every shot. Our wedding album is coming this week and I will add another note once we have received this. Martin came very highly recommended by our organiser when we had our wedding at Mansion House in Bristol. When we were planning, everyone said you should save money on everything except the photographer! We are so glad we went with Martin. His work is fantastic, and he is professional and easy to work with. On the day, he managed to get a huge variety of candid shots, so that he was able to capture every part of the day without seeming intrusive. He also offered some very reasonable packages for us with regard to printing albums. He put together a lovely package, complete with videos of speeches, and a montage of some select shots in a video which brought my wife and I to tears when we saw it a month later.
