We would just like to say a big thank you for taking our wedding photographs.

Everyone has been really impressed at the amazing photography, and how you captured the whole day and produced a beautiful wedding album.

We were amazed at how many wonderful pictures we had to chose from, the choice was endless.

We ended up with so many fabulous pictures which really did capture so many memorable moments on our very special day. So many people commented on how unobtrusive you were throughout the whole day while still managing to capture some really special photographs.

The service we received was highly efficient throughout and we have recommended your services to all our family and friends. Many thanks again Timmy and Millie

Dear Martin,

We just wanted to write with appreciation for your hard work on our wedding day. You came up with a very personal record of our big day, catching the moments and atmosphere perfectly.

You made a point of being inconspicuous and taking natural shots of ourselves and our guests. The formal shots were not long in being taken as we had requested, and we felt relaxed during these, and the photos mirrored this.

Your humour with the photos of my parents sitting together (which appeared on your slideshow with a quirky line in the music) made us all laugh! Your wonderful photos of the little flower-girls showed how much they enjoyed being photographed, and several guests commented how you made them smile and at ease.

One guest, an ardent photographer himself, noted you needed no electronic aids to check light etc, relying on mental calculations, and all photos were taken without flash. He was very impressed!

I think it gave them a soft, classical quality. We appreciated you staying longer than the booking as the meal did run late! We feel your commitment towards creating an authentic and fun record of the day warrants a big thank-you and we wish you the very best in your future work here.

Kind regards, A and J

Living in Australia and travelling back to Claire’s Belfast home to get married, we wanted our wedding to be more of an excuse for a party and family reunion, rather than a traditional day.

We hoped that we could find a photographer to capture it in this way, and in Martin Bartnicki we found our man.

Following an informal meeting a few days before the wedding, Martin summed up exactly what we wanted from our photos and when we saw the final images we could hardly believe our luck.

They were simply superb – relaxed, documentary style and perfectly executed. The photos captured all aspects of our day just as we had hoped they would.

There were hundreds of outstanding frames to choose from and deciding on the best for our album was the most difficult part of the entire process. Martin wasn’t at all intrusive throughout the day, expertly capturing real and special moments between us, our families and our best friends.

When it came to organising people for a few official family photos…a process that proved quite difficult…Martin was extremely patient, but he got the shots! Family and friends, including professional press photographers, have seen the pictures and all say they are outstanding – many, ‘the best they have seen’.

A big bonus of the package was being provided with the original files so that in the future we can reproduce our own albums and large format prints. There is little else we can say.

To Martin, thank you for creating such perfect memories of our truly wonderful day. And to the happy couples considering Martin as their wedding photographer, you won’t be disappointed. We couldn’t be happier with our images.

All the best Claire & Nathaniel Melbourne, Australia

Hi Martin

Having just received our wedding pictures, myself and my new husband wanted to say thank you so much to you and your photographer Szymon for capturing our day so perfectly! When picking our wedding photographer, we really wanted to make sure we had made the right choice as these are our memories captured forever, and there is absolutely no doubt that you were the perfect choice for our special day! At every step any enquiries were answered promptly and reassuringly making the process stress free. On the day, you both got into the spirit of the day and into the ‘in jokes’ blending into our day seamlessly. You managed to understand and capture the atmosphere perfectly and your professionalism and courteousness was commented upon by all of our guests. We absolutely adore the pictures, as do our families and friends.

Thank you again, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. We keep saying it was the most perfect day of our lives, and now we have the most perfect pictures to remember it forever.

Best Wishes

On Saturday 11th April 2015 we finally tied the knot after months of planning and organising every minute detail. One of these details, in fact one of the most important details, is deciding which photographer to use to capture your special day. Make a mistake here, and given the plethora of photographers available its pretty easy to do given that most of us are not in the habit of hiring professional photographers every day, and it will haunt you forever. I mean its not like you can just call for a do-over, if the photos are no good, you’re stuck with them. After much deliberation and a game of close our eyes and point, we settled on Martin Bartnicki and thankfully we hit the jackpot on the first go.

At all times during the day Martin and his assistant (we never did get his name!) were professional, friendly, approachable and courteous, and not once were they ever in the way, even if the angle of some of the photos thy took made it look as if they must have been! Both before and after the big day any issues we raised were responded to promptly and dealt with to our complete satisfaction.

The photos taken were of an extremely high quality, all shots we requested were taken, and they took photos we wouldn’t have thought to request. The photos taken were available online much quicker than expected and again all enquiries regarding the photos were answered promptly and to our satisfaction.

Somebody once told me that the difference between a professional and an amateur photographer is that the pro gets paid for his photos while the amateur does not. In truth there is much more to it than that and Martin and his team encompass all of the qualities you simply expect a Professional to have, and they quite literally went above and beyond any expectations we had and genuinely contributed to how much we enjoyed our day. By the time they left in the evening we felt as if we had made new friends, though they maintained their professionalism throughout.

We would absolutely recommend Martin and his team with absolutely no hesitation or reservations whatsoever, in our opinion he is an exceptional photographer, and a genuinely likeable person who has set the bar for other photographers extremely high.

Many Thanks to Martin and his Assistant for not only capturing our special day but for being a very welcome part of our celebration.

All the best for the future.

Q&A

Shoot with your heart not with your eye...
Shoot for the moment not for money...

I love to know my clients. If I cant meet them in person I always suggest FaceTime chat before the day. I want to know how they meet, what they are doing for living and whats the plans for the future. This gives me an idea of who they are and I can better understand your needs.

All good moments, wedding, engagement, elopement, portraits the best time of your life and I can be there to capture these moments for you forever.

I just can't work for someone else dream. I have few businesses but photography I a real passion for me.

Once upon a time . . . Long, long time ago . . . when dinosaurs were still here and I when I was starting my photography adventure...
I couldn't decide which areas of photography shall I go into.
In other words, I was like every beginner photographer walking with my camera everywhere and taking pictures of everything and I mean everything.

One day I was asked to go to Poland for a wedding (just as a plus one guest)
I didn’t really want to go so they tricked me… They said this could be a very good chance for me to take pictures at the wedding and see if I would like wedding photography.
The wedding couple had a photographer booked already so they just ask the main photographer if he is ok with me walking behind him all day and, surprisedly he said yes.

I went there and did the best I would. I wasn’t confident about my skills and what I was doing there, where shall I stand and when.

I was scared like before a bungee jump, but on the other side, I was pumped being there, seeing everything from backstage.

The pictures were ready some time after the wedding, I was so proud of my work
( now I think the pictures were a disaster, but I had no pressure as I wasn’t an official photographer then).
I prepared DVD with a printed logo on it, packed it in a nice printed box and sent it to the couple.

They contacted me a few days later saying how wonderful the pictures were and I heard from other people that they showed everyone my pictures rather than the ones from the official photographer.

This made me think that this might be something that I could actually be good at.
( I know, right? )
Over time my skills increased, I learnt how to use my gear properly and I even started teaching photography. Shall I mention I became a full-time wedding and portrait photographer also a destination wedding photographer as I was regularly shooting weddings in the UK, Greece and Poland?

I still love shooting weddings, I believe that apart from the wedding couple, the photographer is the most important person at your wedding.

Big headed? I don't think so. Let me explain...

If you hire a wedding photographer to tell the story of your big day, you hire me for the whole day.
Now, let me ask you something. Who will be with you the whole day, since the morning till the first dance or event a bit later?

You are meeting your groom/bride at the church or registry office. Your parents are there in the morning but then they need to prepare themselves. Your bridesmaids need your hair and makeup done the same as you do. Your best man needs to drink not to tie your tie.

A good photographer will help you with all of these things. It's not like this is what photographers are hired for but I'm the person who has been at so many weddings that I can tell from my experience at which side the bride needs to be, which finger is for the wedding ring or even when is a good time for a speech and a cake.

All wedding photographers do it for you, don't they? :)

Oh, did I mention that I will also take the pictures to memorise the moments for you forever as this is what I'm actually really good at?

See you on the biggest day of your life.
