The work was scheduled quickly, and the office staff is fantastic to deal with over the phone. The professionalism and workmanship from this company was outstanding. I had a small issue which was related to the eavestrough and had nothing to do with the roof but they checked with me twice after rainstorms to see if i was satisfied and even corrected the positioning of the eavestrough to correct the issue. Their price was very reasonable, they were great at communicating, and the workers on site were courteous, knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves. We have a very large bungalow 60’ + and they arrived at 7 am with a crew of 12 + and left at 7 pm the roof and shed finished, and the cleanup all done. Mark did a half roof at my place 3 years ago and it is still in excellent condition. The main roof done by a different company 10 years ago had a leak this winter. I called Mark as I was impressed with his company's previous work and he came as soon as the weather permitted and repaired the leak from the other company's work at a very reasonable cost. - The owner took the time to thoroughly inspect our roof, make a sketch with dimensions of it and cover step by step what the job would entail and which products would be used.

Recently, Markelangelos assessed a leaking problem with our bathroom fan venting into the attic. One of their experts, Dan, pinpointed the problem, gave us a detailed explanation of the problem and the solution. We were very impressed with his knowledge. We hired Markelangelos to fix the problem and to add additional installation to the attic. They arrived at the best possible time, worked very quickly and thoroughly and cleaned up after they finished.

We renovate homes for resale. This was our second experience using Markelangelo Roofing and, it was another great experience. The guys show up on time, they’re friendly and polite. If they have any questions, their lead comes down off the roof and discusses their concern with you. Cleanliness is extremely important to them, they make the utmost effort to tidy up after themselves. The owner, Mark McSherry, was prompt with an initial site visit, provided a quotation and samples of materials to be used, and explained all the details. The team arrived early to start and did a good job in spite of the heat, rain and thunderstorm. They were all courteous, friendly, professional, and seemed to enjoy the job despite the less than perfect weather conditions. Mark is really a gentleman and met me several times leading up to the project. Very approachable and courteous. Over the course, we had several conversations not all necessarily related to roofing. He worked with me from the last year and temporarily fixed the roof last November so that I do not spend sleepless night during this past winter. He was then was able to take care of my roof early in the year (May) before I had to go for my surgery. He and his team even addressed a few additional things at no charge. Grateful to them for that. His team and Mark himself came back for minor fix ups later, which they did without a problem. Bottom line is that I was happy with the work done esp. given the fact that I am a person that is hard to please. Also, I have never written a review before but wanted to do this one.I had done enough research on roofing products and specs and Marks quote included all quality material and specs that wanted, that I did not find elsewhere for the similar price. They completed the job in roughly the time estimated (2 days for 1600 square feet * 2 (semi-detached, both sides)), cleaned-up thoroughly, did not damage anything, and the workmanship appears to be excellent. If I had one complaint, it's that they start whenever they are ready. I get the feeling that they are highly subject to the whims of the weather plus availability of other job sites. We were given a window of 2-3 weeks, and they finally arrived with less than 24hr notice. But, they got it done quickly, which meant that we weren't blocked out of our garage for long. We had a new roof installed a couple of weeks ago and are very satisfied with the quality of the work, from the initial estimate with Mark to the dealings with the nice office lady :) to the cleanup after the job was done. Danny and his crew were extremely professional and friendly. Communication with Danny was excellent, he texted several times with updates as to when the crew would begin depending on weather. The whole job was completed in 1 day from morning to evening and I was truly impressed with the cleanup after the job. You would never know that there was about a dozen guys running around with materials and garbage all over the place. Our property was immaculate when they left and I have yet to find 1 nail in the yard. The roof looks great and I feel this time that the quality of the material and worksmanship will put our minds at ease for years to come, not like the quick and crappy job that is done by the builders of the house. Shingles had reached end of life, there was a hole in the roof and a chimney that was no longer used. Mark came by, did an assessment and developed a proposal to address the issues. The work was scheduled for late October, Markelangelo is very busy. A couple days prior to the start date, Danny the Operations Manager called to go over what was gonna be done over the course of the job. On the start day a crew of 9 showed up, the senior guy on the crew Steve, went over his understanding of what was to be done. The work started and was completed by noon the next day.
Overall this was a great renovation experience; from the initial contact with Mark through the proposal and conduct of the work by Danny and the roofing crew. Mark, Danny and Steve made the effort to communicate what was gonna be done and how the crew addressed my concerns. The members of the crew were friendly and engaging and quite willing to stop and chat. I was really impressed by the set up, tarps and plywood were laid out to protect the deck, windows and plants. At any one time there were at least two members of the crew picking up and cleaning. On completion of the work Danny and Steve went over what was done.

They are efficient - with a large crew they take one day, while others, with fewer workers, take two or three days for the same job. The original roof of our 2003-built semi-detached had quickly deteriorating shingles that were prone to blowing off in heavy storms. I contacted 6 companies to provide quotes for a new roof, and received 3. One of the companies was Markelangelo's. Mark provided a very reasonable quote to do my roof and my neighbour's. He had also done my friend's roof about 5 years prior, and my friend had been happy with the work they did.Mark and his team had excellent communication with me before, during and after the roof replacement. The crew of 10 showed up at 7am on the dot, as promised. They were polite and friendly, and finished both roofs in just over 8 hours. I am very happy they managed to do the job in one day, considering the constant rain we've been getting this summer.The workers didn't rush, and took their time to do things properly - they used 6 nails per shingle, as required by GAF. They put down the ice and water shield carefully. They had one worker who spent the entire time continually cleaning up the work site, and I have yet to find any stray nails or debris from the job.
