Absolutely love this place any place that makes their own root beer you know is something classic. Though a lot of this food is basically comfort food you've got your fried catfish and other wonderful treats on the side but hands down if you want a real taste of what root beer tastes like this place is amazing. Very rustic the servers are always great there however if you are that person that is going to show up when they're having one of their Festival event weekends be courteous. Easy to find, driving in to Hannibal - a surprisingly eclectic menu. I tried the MO burger - a cheeseburger with smoked pork, Cole slaw and topped with a buffalo BBQ sauce. It was quite good. Place was ok, seemed like an everyday little diner with nothing spectacular. The lady who asked how many of us there was seemed put out. Walked us to our table at the back, put the menus on the table and walked away saying nothing. Our waiter however was a nice guy and recommended their homemade rootbeer. My wife and i ordered the fried chicken plate which we were told would take 25 minutes to make so we were ok with that amd my som got a maidrite and fries. Anyways the fried chicken was fantastic, we ended up taking some home with us back to Iowa it was that good and as a person who does NOT like rootbeer, their atuff was delicious.
