Q&As

As I have worked with a variety of clients with different goals, fitness levels and lifestyles I take each client as they come and together determine where they need the help whether its nutrition, teaching exercises tailored to their goals, creating the correct environment, helping to become more active etc.

PATIENCE. 80% of people will give up on their fitness goals and the reasons are because they are not sticking at it because they are expecting unrealistic results or because they don't like the way exercise is strenuous. Getting the body of your dreams will require hard work to achieve it and hard work to maintain it.

I love seeing someones joy when they start seeing results. Although results are gradual and take time, if I can show someone how far they have come and they know that the hard work is paying off then I feel I have bettered someone's life and that makes me proud of what I do.

I started off as weekend fitness instructor and as my career progressed I thought the linear route of professional development was to become club manager, however when I eventually did become club manager I realised that the part of the job I am great at and that I love is personal training so I gave up a club managers job to start working for myself as a self employed personal trainer.

I pride myself on my results and I am driven to help my clients achieve their results as quickly as possible. I have never been money and I would never take a client on unless I believe I can help them, if I didn't think I could help my client I would refer them to someone I know that could. Either way I will be helping.

Services

Online coaching takes away the 1 hour of gym work and gives you the chance to treat your fitness as a journey with constant support. Some people would prefer to have the comfort of knowing that their personal trainer is just a call or message away. Your fitness goal is not just gym which is usually up to 7 hours per week, a week has 168 hours in it, that is plenty time to undo the the hard work in the gym.

I don't believe in writing someones meals for the rest of their life, the most effective way is by setting the calories, macronutrients and provide the tools to track this and monitor it first hand. This allows me to make relative small changes instead of completely changing someones diet.

Start with your usual diet then challenge yourself by making it a little better.

1-2-1 personal training will always be the most thorough way for clients and trainers to engage, the relationship and trust that trainers and clients have is the most motivating way to achieve results.

Alternatively I have worked with pairs in the past with similar goals, this creates a support group which in turn can help motivate you knowing that your trainer and training buddy have your back.
