About me:
My name is Mark John Fellows and I am a Newquay based photographer. A devoted husband to my wife Olivia for the past 19 years and father to three amazing boys, 19, 16 and 7.

My photography is in the modern reportage style of telling a story through pictures. My work is not posed and formal, instead I take natural, relaxed images that capture special moments in time.

My passion and experience in photography means I only work with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. This enables me to react to and capture those special moments – even when they take place some distance away or pass in a fleeting second. I only work with digital equipment, which means that all photos can be colour enhanced or produced in black and white depending on your preference.

I feel strongly that, as important as my expertise behind the camera is, so is my ability to get along with you, the client, in an unobtrusive yet engaging way.
I am a passionate family-orientated photographer and could easily pass as just another wedding guest or family member at your event or location shoot.

This genre of photography has several different names; photojournalism, documentary photography and reportage photography. I don’t believe there is any difference between the three names generally, apart from, perhaps, what the photography magazines see as the fashionable way to describe natural, story telling.

For me, an image absolutely has to have context and tell a story to the viewer.

As a Documentary Wedding Photographer, I am at my most creative when left to roam around the wedding capturing those perfect shots of you and your guests. The moments you may never even have noticed happening during the wedding day itself. Weddings that have reams of formal and group shots will disable my ability to capture those images.

I appreciate that most weddings have some form of formal photography, and that’s fine, but I try and keep that to a minimum. Too much formal photography breaks the cohesion of the day and the opportunity for me to fully explore and photograph the wedding and the story.
