Initially thought I was dealing with a local firm, only to find out later it was Marchwood. Tried to charge me a call out of £86 to diagnose a fault I had already advised was the issue.
Tried to charge me another call out charge to fit parts that were over three times the cost.
Reported to Citizens Advise, Consumer Advice and Trading Standards. Haven’t paid a penny and they have threatened legal proceedings. Looking forward to seeing them in court if they return calls.
Please ensure you report your issue to local trading standards as they will take up your case.
This is a scam company who should be closed down.

DO NOT use this company under any circumstances, a complete rip off. They do not carry any spare parts so a second visit has to occur (surprise surprise! ) and then the spare parts are overpriced and in my case did not turn up, even though available on the internet for next day delivery. So had to start again with another repairer that did an excellent job.....AVOID Marchwood at all times. More...

Agreed call out charge of £65 (not told it was plus VAT so in fact over £80). Couldn't sort the job as didn't carry spare parts(! ) and then quoted another £45 to return with the part which would be £58 (total of £103 plus VAT). So went with Another company who supplied and fitted part for £60 all in, (said part was £20!). Don't use these people! More...

In contrast to some other reviews my own experience was perfectly acceptable. Engineer flagged visit beforehand and within advised time frame, diagnosed two broken parts, and these were then ordered. I was kept informed of part delivery by telephone and email and engineer again arrived on time to complete the job successfully. Overall process a bit protracted but did what it said on the tin. Please everyone stay away they are a rip off company send out un qualified people who call themselves engineer they haven't got a clue they guess whats wrong with the freezer claiming it needs multiple parts hoping they will get it right an absolute disgrace.

Neff warming drawer
Very poor service . Wrongly diagnosed 1st visit . 2nd visit not much better , in hurry for next job .
Third visit different diagnosis but quote following was more expensive that engineer direct from Neff . Plus it stated a 2 week to 12 week delivery time for part .

I wish I had read these reviews before arranging a visit from Marchwood. My husband explained the fault and the make of our freezer. The lady on the other end said that would be no problem as the engineer carried most parts with him. He arrived looked at the freezer door and said he would have to order the parts, two minutes he was here and charged us £73. Later that day Marchwood phoned and said they had order the part and it would be another charge of £103. A new freezer only cost £199. Phoned a local man, we order the part £30 and he fitted it for £20, ten minutes work. Beware of dealing with this firm especially as we are OAPs £73 was alot to loose. More...

We used them as we thought they were based locally in Guildford
Call out charge £80 + . The engineer was here 10 mins as we had by then realised it was the heating elements

Horrific experience, do not use this company! Our dishwasher failed, had an engineer out who diagnosed a faulty heating element, had to order the part and return to fit. Cost £93.60 first visit, £128.36 for second visit and part. Had call from their office to arrange the return and fit visit, they gave us a 5 hour window to turn up and never arrived. My husband took time off work to sit and wait for them. When I complained, they told me the appointment had never been made and had not been booked into the system. I had to re-book the appointment and arrange another day off work. They refused to let me speak to a manager, and I had to put my complaint in writing. After a few days I had a reply which acknowledged their mistake but did not reply to my request for compensation. I still have not had an answer on this weeks later. They are appalling at customer service, a totally incompetent set of staff (not the engineers, they are great) and a poor management system. Those in charge have no integrity. We had a fan fault with AEG Micromat combi . We rang Marchwood & said it was the oven fan not the microwave fan. The girl phoned back & asked if we wanted the part ordered & the engineer to fit it. We agreed & paid for the part, he arrived , got the unit out & realised it was the wrong fan it was the microwave one. Also when he put it all back the oven fan worked. He went away after we paid him & I phoned them & was told as it was a self diagnosed fault there could be no refund. After a few emails arguing this I said the young lady who took the order indentified the part as the microwave fan despite being told at least twice it was the oven fan. They refused a refund so I demanded that as we had paid for the part we should have it , also I wanted a copy of their order, so they returned it last week. The order was from Electrolux & they had written a return number on it despite telling me they could not return it. So be very careful if you self diagnose that you know the exact part number . Approx two weeks ago phoned up to see if they good repair aapprox 10years old candy fan oven as the fan was tripping it out. they said it would be approx two weeks before they could come as the engineer was on holiday must have only one???.he eventually came and said it was the fan but had not got one and would have to see if he could get one .W e paid him £81.50call out charge a bit high I thought but he said would be in touch .Two days have pasted and still no phone call the communication is very bad .I think the way they get there money is by high call out charges would I recommend this firm not on your nelly in fact if I could I would give it a minus five!!!!
