Kath is an amazing photographer, and made me feel absolutely at ease. I was kind of dreading the whole thing as was very tired with 5 day old, but I need not had worried as the whole experience was perfect not stressful at all and was very enjoyable. The photos Kath captured are so beautiful and we will treasure them forever, we also had a few taken with all our children which was lovely. Kathy is A phenomenal photographer. She took so much time and care in handling my newborn. I will start by saying a big thank you to Kath for giving us the most amazing experience.I had my maternity shoot to begin with where my 2 older children joined me. It was in the peak of the summer heat and Kath was so lovely and was patient with me as I always had to sit down and eat a lot of ice. We got some great shots that day non the less.I then returned with our beautiful newborn baby boy when he was a couple of days old to capture those sleepy moments of him. Again she was very patient with him. In between that time Kath kept in touch throughout, he was late so we had to adjust the date slightly.I then returned a week later and viewed all of our lovely images. A perfectly put together set up, with an extremely lovely and relaxing photographer. I had my first of 3 shoots today with Kathy and I have to say it was amazing. Both myself and my partner immediately felt relaxed and our personalities shone through the shoot because of it and that was all thanks to Kathy. After a few bad experiences with other photographers, it was refreshing to meet Kath who took her time and didn't make us feel rushed or expect too much from my baby. Alot of other photographers have set photos they've planned to take before we've arrived and get annoyed when Eva didn't want to cooperate. Kath let Eva take the led and we ended up with loads of natural photos that show her in the way we know her to be, none of them look staged or awkward. Kath was amazing with my little boy stevie. Getting him into positions and grabbing his attention for them beautiful awake shots! He felt so relaxed there and nothing was rushed.. he had a bottle between shooting and then she got him to sleep with her magic gloves for them beautiful sleeping shots. Before the shoot I sent her photos that she’s done with other babies that I liked and she recreated them with my little boy.. she tried to match some photos with your home decor aswell which is a plus!!! After the shoot we came back for a viewing, in her little cinema room with popcorn and drinks :) it was hard to choose the photos that I wanted but I finally did. I would of brought them all but I was on a budget. The final product is packaged beautifully! And I gasped when I opened them. They were stunning! We are so happy with the photos Kath took of our son, they came out really well and made great Xmas gifts for family and friends as well as lovely mementos for us of him at that age. Initially I hadn’t really considered having baby photos done, mainly because it is quite a financial commitment, but then we received a flier from Kath around the same time a few friends had newborn photos back and having looked at the Maraschino website I decided to find out more. I’m so glad I did, the whole service was very relaxed and professional with every eventuality taken into consideration. Dates could easily be moved for sickness or, in the case of newborn photo shoots, for babies who are more reluctant to stick to their due date which was comforting to know and Kath was excellent with our son, really capturing his personality. When you’ve got a 10 day old first baby and you’re still trying to figure out what the heck you’re doing but desperately want to capture their amazing tiny newness I couldn’t recommend Kath enough! From the balmy room temperature to her baby whisperyness we were put at ease immediately and felt incredibly relaxed whilst Kath went to work. Even when Max had a cry (and managed to poo and wee on the floor ) she absolutely took it all In her stride and even left us alone when Max needed to feed. She was Unrushed, calm and funny. The photo presentation video literally left me in tears and we were blown away by, not only the photos, but also the presentation of the package we chose. We got our photos quite a while after Max was born (this is 100% my fault not Kaths!!) and in some ways it was even more special to look back at the 10 day old baby and compare him to our several month old now - the photos totally captured his newness and that really special early time. Kath was fantastic from day one. I’m not very creative and I left all the hard work to her and she didn’t disappoint. Her creativity during my maternity session was fantastic and even better during the newborn session of my baby girl. She was just 9 days old and Kath managed to keep her calm throughout and produced fantastic pictures. Even my friends were shocked of how many great photos there were. Kath was very good with the baby. She made us feel at ease during the photo shoot. She listened to our wishes carefully and tried her best to capture the best moment. The pictures came back real nice. She was also quite a host , and we had very tasty scones and tea while she did the pictures. I decided I would like some pregnancy photos at the last minute - about 10 days before my due date ☺ And Kath managed to find time and it was so nice experience. We are absolutely delighted with Kath! We used Maraschino Photography for our newborn photos in December 2016. Kath was amazing from the moment we contacted her. She talked me through what to expect and what to bring beforehand. Kath then rescheduled our shoot after our little man decided to stay put and arrive 1 week and a day late after his due date. Then during the photoshoot Kath and her wonderful assistant provided cookies and warm drinks for us and told us to sit back and relax whilst they took care of everything else and that even included nappy changes and calming the baby (saints - we snuck in a nap lol). The viewing after the shoot was heart warming, Kath really captured the beauty of Harrison's newborn innocence and I'm so glad we decided to get these pictures done as it's amazing how much he has changed in 6 months and we have that newborn beauty captured forever. The prints Kath has done are stunning and our wall art and photobook are amazing. Everyone has commented how lovely our pictures are and how adorable Harrison looks. We were so pleased with Kath that we asked her to capture Harrison's Christening in May 2017. She was the natural choice! We've just had our ordering session today and are over the moon! I was a bit slow in organising our baby photoshoot and I was worried we had missed the boat for the real baby shots. But Kath worked her magic with fantastic results. I have had a maternity shoot and baby shoot with Kath so far and I am so impressed with Kath's photos and "how" she works, that we will be taking future family shoots with her too. With the maternity shoot, I was late to organise this and lucky for me, she fitted me at quite short notice, just days before I gave birth. My husband and I are not natural posers, but Kath quickly put us and ease and captured some great moments of the three of us. For me, by far the most impressive experience was that of the newborn baby shoot. There isn't a thing, that Kath had not thought through in terms of making this shoot a total success. Both I and my son had a difficult start with him in intensive care and me in the high dependant unit so it wasn't until he was 10w old when probably both of us were well enough to contemplate photos. I was so disappointed when I went to Kath and she said the type of shots I wanted can only really be done in first 4 weeks. But she said if we could get the baby to sleep she would try her best and I have some lovely shots which are even more special because the first photos of my son he has tubes in him and so to see him healthy will always be special. I also loved the fact she allows you to bring your special things like the blanket your nan knitted and no matter how ugly or not the item is she will change background or baby to show both of in their best light. Kath did a family photo shoot for us and I've just seen the results ... and all I can say is WOW! She's made us look so amazing! I never expected to get a group photo of us all looking good at the same time, but somehow she pulled it off. We were a bit tense before the session, but Kath has all these tricks to make you relax and takes the photos at the right moment to catch you at your best. Mike and Kath from Marachino were our wedding photographers and they did a fantastic job. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Not only were Mike and Kath lovely people, but when it came to the day they were incredibly professional and produced some fantastic shots.
