Manuela is an exceptional seamstress and designer who runs a boutique sewing studio (SEW!) in cheltenham just opposite the train station. It's a bright pink shop you can't miss it. This amazing woman can make on a sewing machine just about anything you can imagine to a wonderful standard. Whether it be haberdashery, curtains, personalised shirts and dresses, pillows, quilts, alterations, +size clothing or sewing classes 'SEW!' is the place to go! Manuela specialises in making handmade products and therefore they are personalised and bespoke. SEW! charges a fair rate for thier time, determination and high quality materials. Please appreciate this is not a sweat shop. If you want cheap and poor quality curtains try Argos or any another high street retailer. At SEW! you can buy with confidence and know that any product you purchase will be handcrafted with care. I spent much of my childhood admiring my mothers determination and hard work to bring up five wonderful children whilst studying to become the best seamstress in Gloucestershire. The benefits of having such a talented seamstress as a mother included; constant repairs on trousers and shirts that I ruined at school. Wonderful pillows, blankets and curtains made on demand and ongoing suit repairs. Over the years I've worked for a couture Bridal house and have done a freelance alteration service for a dry cleaning chain. I now have my own sewing business and offer everyday alterations but also bridal, prom dress, suits and coat alterations.
Ladies will often come to me with that really lovely dress that you know could look amazing if it fitted right. And usually I can help.
