I can echo many of the previous reviews. Do not use this company.
I booked time out expecting an hour visit- at most- for a quote. No expectation was set by the office team either…
The agent was still with us after 2 1/2 hours- and it very quickly turned into a pushy sales manoeuvre. We were quoted an extortionate 41k for the resin driveway job… however, if we were happy to sign up today we could get as much as 15k discounted. This involved live calls over speakerphone to technical manager ‘Brad’- who even challenged us when we declined to sign up there and then. Apparently Brad had never come across people like us before who could turn their nose up to such clearcut ‘savings’.
I had to quite strongly bring things to a close to get the agent to leave as my baby daughter needed a nap.

Where to start? We contacted Next Generation for a quote for our small driveway and they advised that we would both have to be present which was fine until the day arrived, the gentleman arrived late, the only plus point was that they did call us to tell us he was going to be late. When he arrived it was just after 2pm I was taking sometime out of work although still on duty (which I made abundantly clear) to sit in on the quote expecting it to take an hour or so, 3 and half hours later at just before 6pm he left. He asked for 2 cups of coffee and didn't wait to be offered either time, he kept asking if we we were happy with him and the product which after 2hrs we were just agreeing with to end the nightmare, we had become prisoners in own home. The whole thing felt like we had just joined the company and were being trained up as sales persons. Eventually when he gave us the quote it was 13k with every minuet thing costing extra even the prep was costed separately as if your going to lay a drive without prepping first. He then said we could get it for 9k if we agreed there and then, we explained that we couldn't agree to anything that day as we had a cash budget and hadn't checked our out goings as we weren't contemplating taking finance out to pay for the project. The guy then continued with the pressurised sales pitch and no matter how I phrased it he would not take no for an answer even ringing the office to get a better deal. I even pointed out that all outgoings are going up next month and we weren't sure how this was going to affect us and we didn't want to over extend ourselves, this appeared to fall on deaf ears and he even said "what's going up" talk about tone deaf to the current cost of living crisis. They then came back with a price of 7.5k but again wanted a yes or no there and then, I pointed out that if they could do that price then that's the price I should have been offered no matter when I chose to take up the price. He did make mention of a two week cooling off period but then stated he would only keep the documents for 2 days so we could think about it. At this point my patience was wearing thin, I had said no due to having to work out finances which I wasn't about to do in front of him and he did not take the hint when I kept checking my work phone which we even spoke about. The guy asked some unnecessary questions like how much the rest of the project we are doing was costing and how much the house is worth, it was very intrusive and again we felt accosted. I didn't get angry at the time because he had a trainee with him and I wouldn't show myself up in that way but afterwards my husband I were shell shocked to the point neither of us had dinner and we could not get to sleep until after 1am this morning because of the experience, we could not reconcile what had happened that afternoon, it was just very bizarre/surreal. We are not new to having quotes and have just had 3 for doors and windows none of which lasted longer than hour even with the bigger firms we contacted, and none left the unpleasant and disturbing feeling we encountered with Next Generation. Needless to say we would not recommend even for a quote and are certainly not going to use them for any works. More...

Next Generation home improvements, what can I say about them? Nothing good. If you want to loose your money, have them. We booked them to do a Resin patio in July 2021. They took £3200 for a deposit, all we saw was the "surveyor" and the ground crew once. They haven't been seen since. The excuses they made, made me so ill that we decided not to continue. There was nothing professional about them. Con Artists. More...

This is not the company that I employed August 2020! You might be wondering why I am only just leaving a review, well it looks like I will be seeing them in court soon than later. I am just contacting the Ombudsman regarding the complaint they refuse to acknowledge. So how bad are they? I have photos that speak a thousand word, I will add if I can find a way to put them on. 'Next Generation Home improvements'' is part of the same company as 'Ideal Alarms', a company I have used before for work on my home, and found to be good, so when I wanted a foam roof insulation system, they were the obvious company to ask to do the work. As on previous occasions, they turned up promptly to do the survey and quotation, and again to do the work. The work was carried out to a high quality, the workers were friendly, professional and considerate, and they cleaned up as they worked. I found them to be exceptional, and would certainly use them again. I cannot fault them. By the way, in view of another review here, I should add that I have no connection with the company apart from being a very satisfied repeat customer! Before and after photos follow - pardon the mess in our loft! More...
