Q's Pho is the best!!!!
Great restaurant with wonderful Thai food and excellent service. Ordered Thai Basil Rice, flat noodles and Yellow curry. Everything had the right spice, kick and great tasting food. More...
Yummmmmy!! And great service, too!
Everything on the menu is delicious!
Had a great dinner at Mandala. Super tasty pad thai and the entire staff was very friendly and outstanding. Especially our waiter Shannon!
Incredible food and service. I highly recommend the Five Spiced Beef or Pho. Best crawfish I’ve had in Austin.
EVERYTHING here is amazing
Overall the food was good. The egg roll and the rice pie was good. The Vietnamese chicken curry was a little on the sweeter side so you can't really eat as much. The hit was definitely the mango sticky rice. Service was okay but I did find it a little on the slower side but it wasn't too bad. More...
Waiter was fantastic. Pricy but fabulous. Serving sizes were appropriate. Try the pancakes.
Went there for a laid back dinner and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, I don’t think I’ve ever had better service any where. The bartender made us 2 speciality drinks and they’re were delicious! Can’t wait to go back! More...
The mini rice pancakes appetizer was the greatest thing I’ve ever had in my entire life. Literally so amazing I almost cried. They made them vegetarian for me (so amazing), and it just made my entire existence better. Everything there was so good! More...
Quality, all around.
Delicious food, pricey for value- yet romantic. Waiters are hit and miss; and can actually turn romantic evening into one of self doubt, and butt hurt as waiters seem rude as hell if you aren't here by yourself.
The rice pancake is very delicious and juicy with pork, shrimp, vegetable inside. Highly recommend. The waitress is friendly, always smile. Will come back again.
Very nice staff and good food
Delicious and amazing service
Best southeast Asian food food I have ever had, and one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I had the Vietnamese chicken curry and it was a perfect portion and really well made. The crispy rice cake was a really cool and delicious addition. Others in my party loved the pad kee maw and phad Thai. The tango foxtrot cocktail is so unique and creative, but be prepared for a little spice! More...
Such good food! My bf enjoyed the 5 piece steak and I loved my vegetable noodles. We also ordered chicken and egg roll appetizers which were amazing. There are a ton of vegetarian options which i loved too. Shame we couldn't get pictures cause we were so busy digging into our food! Not to mention the restaurant itself is beautiful and has a lot of outdoor seating More...
Amazing food and service. TRY THE CAJUN FRIED RICE. Any hiccups during dinner were swiftly taken care of. We had ordered a drink that didn’t arrive till the end of dinner, so the waiter graciously covered the drink. Great food with professional service. More...

Great ambiance and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Had the green chicken curry, which was fresh, with a good balanced heat to it. I also had their Thai tea which was perfectly sweetened. Their bartender Tiffany was very nice and very attentive to not just me, but all of her bar guests and took the time to explain menu items and drinks. Would even recommend it for a date night. Very good food and service. Quet and cozy place, ideal if you want to have a conversation.
Asian food at this place - very tasty. Visited near twelve, it was not full. I look forward to a return visit. This place has good reviews for a reason.
The bar staff are friendly and efficient, the food is amazing and the restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing. PLEASE TRY THE MINI RICE PANCAKES, they are mouth watering delicious creations of heaven. This place is most certainly worth checking out. More...
Lovely, delicious, exciting food. Slightly over priced due to high cost of location rent. Average service without additional attention that usually accompanies higher price-point. Fun, modern decor. Interesting, inventive cocktails. Stand-out, exceptional desserts! More...
We’re so happy we stumbled on to Mandala. By far the best green and red curries in Austin and their “non traditional” dishes are terrific too. The pancakes are great and my son really loved the Cajun fried rice. We have been there 3 times now and it is now part of the regular rotation. More...
Girls outing for Sunday brunch. Very enjoyable.
Best frozen cocktails in all of Austin! Great food, chill atmosphere...all around great go to! Love this place!
Wonderful food, good service and great cocktails. We will surely be back for more.
Nice to have a good Thai restaurant nearby! Very fresh food and good service.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely go back.
So delicious and authentic with the most wonderful service and ambiance
They have the food and service down. Great Vietnamese/Cajun fusion, and super friendly service. The space itself leaves something to be desired though - its very generic. Bright white lights, top 40 music of the 2010s, and little to no decor related to the cuisine make for a somewhat uninspiring atmosphere. The food and staff have so much character... I hope management looks into making the space itself feel just as unique. More...
This is amazing Vietnamese food and the people are excellent. Great location.
The starters are the best -- great Spring roles and edamame with truffle oil. Chef/owner was extremely accommodating to the Vegan in our company ... no problem creating several vegan options. More...
Great quality food and good bar!
Super chill and great food. Some of the best Pho I've had in Austin too.
the Cajun fried rice is my favorite. Their food and customer service are great!
The best Thai food I’ve had in a while. Nice clean place and the waiter was very funny / curtious. Atmosphere was an 8 but overall everything else made up for it
We ordered takeout and really enjoyed it. Very handy for us.
Love the mini pancakes!
Awesome atmosphere, food and service. We will definitely come back!!! We shared the Mana Phuong’sEgg Rolls for an appetizer, we shared The Sizzling Combination which is a 12oz sizzling sirloin steak, shrimp skewer , asparagus, mixed vegetables with white rice. We also shared the Cajun Fried Rice. For dessert we had Mango Sticky rice. Served beautifully! This was an awesome fine dining but casual experience. If you are in the area try it! More...
Good location, good service, and delicious food. Best curry I had in awhile. Will definitely come back.
I ate there twice in the last 2 weeks and both times service from the staffs are excellent, their foods are very good and fresh. My most favorite dish is Pad Kee Mao. Other dishes that I shared with my family are also good: I already tried all 3 fried rice dishes they have :-), very tasty crawfish, green cury and more... More...
The restaurant is very clean and modern. The waiter was very proficient and courteous and the atmosphere was pleasant and enjoyable. I had the Cajun fried rice and it was great I would definitely go back. More...
Just finished dinner. Had the vietnamese pancake for appetizer and the salmon with red curry noodles. Very relaxed atmosphere on a Friday evening. Lighting is bright, but nice, not dim yellow light. Staff are great. More...
Chicken wings are amazing and the crawfish as well. Highly recommend.
Great food and service
Best green curry I've ever had. All the stars!
Excellent everything! Delicious dishes and wonderful atmosphere! Parking is a breeze.
Free parking, casual but hip/trendy atmosphere, delicious food with lots of flavor in every bite, a full service bar and prompt service. What's there not to love? So far, I'm obsessed with their mini pancakes, surf clam ceviche and tom yum. More...
Its a nice new place in downtown austin. The starters were unique and tasty. Their yellow curry was flavorful. Ambience is informal. I liked it.
Three of us went to eat today afternoon. We tried the Tom yum, mini pancakes, basil fried rice, green curry, sticky rice with mango and pad keep mao and everything was flavorful and delicious. I love the complexity of the mini pan cakes ( with or without meat), the freshness of Tom yum, the richness of the green curry, the creaminess of the coconut/mango rice and the balanced flavor of the basil fried rice. We ordered almost everything in vegetarian (tofu) and didn't miss the meat abit bc everything was so good. We all got little comatosed after all the food. Nice ambien and friendly staff. Food came quick too. Definitely coming back for more. More...
Good service and awesome curry! Definitely recommend
The quality of ingredients and dishes here are amazing - absolutely delicious. The service was also wonderful and happy hour is great.
The food was a culinary experience. The quality of the steak is unparalleled. The curry - to die for.
Shaken Ribeye, Pan-fried dumplings and a glass of Malbec... what a treat.
Cajun fried rice
We tried Mandala Kitchen and Bar early on a Saturday. At first glance it appeared they were not opened as it seemed the lights were off and no apparent people. Once we opened the door, we realized they were open but with few patrons. Food was good, but not great. Best dish was the red curry. More...

Crispy rice pie to mango sticky rice, the food is a treat. The staff is friendly and attentive. The co-owner is educating me on Japanese Single Malts!
Green curry was fantastic. Charming staff, cool digs with outdoor seating, and a brief stroll to Alamo Drafthouse.
Everything was delicious!
Basil rice is amazing, the frozen bloosum drink was very good very unique and solid draft beer selection! This is my third time here and each time has been off the charts!
It was awesome! Viet-cajun fusion is fantastic!
Yellow curry with chicken was fantastic!
Everything was excellent. We started with the crispy rice pie - which was amazing. For main courses, we had the green curry and the cajun fried rice. Both were delicious!
I wonderful new addition to Austin's restaurants. The staff is very friendly the food is outstanding and the price is right. Cant wait to go back for another fantastic dinner. More...

Beautiful atmosphere, incredible service and awesome food! We had a delightful dinner and will definitely be back!!!
We had the steak shrimp sizzling combo, cajun fried rice and the beautifully plated sticky rice with mangoes for dessert. PERFECTION!!!
OMG visiting from Ireland and have had one of the best meals ever yum thanks to Taylor ur hostess for recommending the basil rice with added chicken and then mango with sticky rice
Been waiting for this great little place to open and it’s finally here! Had my mini rice pancakes and hooked for life! Love the pleasant and beautiful ambience too! A great place to bring your out-of-town guests! More...
Creative, delicious drinks (especially the "Tango Foxtrot") kicked off a delightful night that also included very attentive service, fresh versions of classic Thai dishes with the perfect amount of spice (try the Pad Kee Mao if you love spicy!) all in a beautiful space with my absolute favorite attribute: ample free parking...on South Lamar! I enjoyed my first visit to Mandala Kitchen & Bar this evening. This is perhaps the best Asian-fusion restaurant in Austin. I was able to sample the clam ceviche, chicken wings, Vietnamese chicken fried rice, seafood noodle salad, and mango sticky rice. All was wonderful and left me craving more. I’ll be back soon to taste the rest of their amazing menu. Thank you Mandala! More...
Om gosh! From the moment I walked in, the bartender was friendly and welcoming. She explained the drinks and offered to let me taste anything! I ordered the Tango Foxtrot. Passion fruit, sweet and a bit spicy... and the room was spinning a little after I finished. I then ordered the rice pancakes which tasted like mini portions of heaven... if I knew how to get to the chef, I would have kissed her. This place needs to stay around! More...
Mandala kitchen is a Thai and Vietnamese inspired restaurant with a bar that views the Austin skyline. The restaurant is contemporary and hip on the inside complete with an outdoor lounge. Located in the same strip center as Alamo Drafthouse makes it a great date night location. A number of parking garages also make accessing the restaurant easy.
The cocktails were a good balance of taste versus alcohol. Our entrees were high quality, presented well, and very delicious. The wait staff were prompt and courteous. I will be looking for reasons to travel to south Austin so I’m may dine here regularly. More...
Family owned and family recipes, lovely atmosphere, the food is absolutely wonderful and it will leave you asking for more. You’ll just have to come back and try different things each time. I had their sticky rice dessert and I’ve had it in many other restaurants, this one is the best! More...
I saw this restaurant, and gave it a try. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the modern design of the restaurant. It sets the expectation for the food. I ordered the Vietnamese chicken curry, and wow, it was delicious! The chicken curry was served over a fried rice Patty, which gave it a crunchy texture underneath the curry. The server was nice, and very helpful with the Cocktail and food options. I'm def going back. More...
Definitely more of a unique take of what can be done with Thai and Vietnamese food. The Whitefish Chef special was my favorite followed by the Pad Kee Mao. Appetizers were were hit or miss, the egg rolls for example could have come out of a freezer box whereas the mini rice pancakes were a total hit, love that coconut sauce on top!
Cocktails were also stellar, the ghost pepper tequila they put in the off-menu cocktails paired really well with everything.
One thing I would definitely go for is the sweet rice mango dessert, they ship in the mangoes from Thailand and wait for them to be perfectly ripe before using them, I would go here just for that dessert. (Food truck spin off?)
Service was also top-notch, so I worry about the future of this restaurant as just like El Burro that came before only a handful of people were there at any given time. It seems the parking situation deters anyone from going to the restaurants around the area... More...
Beautiful restaurant. The bar is modern and chic. I ordered Tom -Yum and it was very good. The Pad Tia was good but too garlicky Service was slower than it should be. I will eat here again but order something different More...
