I remember back in the day when frequenting Mama Jennies when they offered frequent dinning cards (free meal on 7 or 10 visit) for office birthdays or special lunches. We hadn't been here in 10 years, the dining area has been updated. Clean and cheerful and now boasting outside patio. ( But removed chairs from bar inside) still offer daily lunch specials with both booth and table seating. Had the eggplant rollatino, came with spaghetti, and the daily special manicotti-delicious garlic knots too. The pizza menu looked delicious. Sadly my tastes may have changed as things seemed just a bit blander; but still worth the daily specials prices. More...

Great family owned Italian place. Open air dining with local feel. Very casual with good and friendly service. The salad with homemade Italian was good, but the stromboli was the best I have had. I ordered the meat version without ham, and added ricotta (took it up a level) and onion. My dining partner had stuffed shells with meatballs, also delicious. This is my favorite restaurant in Florida. I'm Italian and I know delicious food. Ive had pizza in NY-Chicago- Boston- and everywhere they boast about delicious Pizza. Mama Jennie's by far has the BEST!!!!!!If you live in Florida- or are visiting the area- Mama Jennie's is a great place to eat. The prices are reasonable, and the service is impeccable. I've had countless lunches and dinners there -also birthday parties and a wedding catered by them. The quality of the food and the service was the same- whether it was a little party or big wedding. Mama Jennie's has always been one of my favorite Italian Restaurants in Miami. It's always had a cozy atmosphere with great service and wonderful food. A where you always felt at home. An old school Italian pasta joint. Admittedly, I hadn't been there in over a year, and looked forward to dining with family when I walked in. Boy, was I surprised when I saw that it had been renovated inside! Very artsy and modern!! The new furnishings, carpeting,and art were a big change from what I was used to. Definitely a more upscale vibe. Still, I was pleased that not much on the menu had changed, except that the early bird section was gone. The food is plentiful and good. The baked ziti I had was delicious!! And yes, they still serve the yummy garlic rolls. Service is still good too.
