super bomb! Had been wanting to try this spot since it opened and finally stopped in for lunch on our way home from the beach. Totally lived up to expectations. Staff was immediately friendly and welcoming, both to us and our dog that sat with us on the patio. Drinks were dangerously good. Had the frozé and peach infused whiskey smash. Went here fore Thursday night football and couldn't be happier. Food and drinks were incredible and our bartender Ashton went above and beyond. Was gonna give only four stars, but I have no idea why they dont deserve all five.The servers for us were younger gentleman and they seemed to have their act together. The gentleman was charismatic and inviting. The busser also interacted with us on a personal level. We were somewhat harassing in asking him for more sauces and such but he was such a good sport. We were seated outside and then moved inside due to the crazy yellowjackets (that's mother nature, they cant control that, so if you're allergic. Dont order meat and sit outside.) Anyhow I was pleased anyway cause we had experience outside seating patio which is way nice as well as the elegance of the indoor seating. We truly had the best of both worlds. Definitely go with the aAVOCADO FRIES for an appetizer, it comes with some sort of sauce that is savory, sweet and has a touch of spice to it.Also we had a POKE stack special that was absolutely a reason I would go out of my way to come back and visit. For dinner:I ordered a MALONE'S COBB and added CHICKEN. Highly recommend that route. It was delicious and I got maybe halfway thru before I realized it hadn't had bacon on it. They quickly admitted the mistake and got me a side of bacon promptly. I was completely happy with it. Absolutely no complaints. My boyfriend had a HITCHCOCK burger, which was suggested by the server and my man was pleased with the way it was cooked & presented with a M on the bun. The fries were also up to standard. No real complaints from me. My friends and I decided to stop here after visiting the Art and Wine festival in Scott's Valley. The restaurant didn't seem too busy, but there was a fair amount of guests and we were seated after a short 10-15 minute wait. The restaurant looks like it's been around for quite some time. The interior looks like your average bar and grill. Upon waking in, there's a decently long bar with barstools with a good variety of beers, liquors, and cocktails to choose from. We decided to be seated outside as the weather was beautiful and it was warm out. They even had a live band playing on the patio (Saturday night). On the patio area, they even had fire pit tables lit, once it got darker. The staff here are very friendly as well and provided good, speedy service all evening. The menu was simple, has good amount of options, without being extensive. I do however think that it is slightly overpriced, but not by much and is still acceptable. Everyone in the group ordered burgers except for me. I don't remember anyone from the group, complaining about their burger. I had the 10oz skirt steak with a side order of truffle fries. The steak was tender, very juicy, and delicious, but I can't say that it was anything special. The truffle fries were really good. Most of the time, when I order truffle fries, I can barely taste the truffle, but this was not the case with these truffle fries. There was the perfect amount of salt, with just the right amount of truffle flavor (finished the fries before I finished my steak).I was dedicated driver for the day, so I didn't get a chance to try the cocktails, however my group definitely ordered some and enjoyed them. While I really wish I could give this place 5 stars, it's really hard for me to as this isn't a restaurant I would go out of my way for. It was delicious, but as mentioned, it wasn't anything special. But if you're in the area, it's worth visiting if you're looking for a decent meal. I'd definitely stop by again, if I was. More...

Our server was excellent and the food was good. However, it's getting pricey...$23 for a steak (with no sides included!), the blue cheese salad was $17. The portions were rather small. By the time we left, three people ate, only two ordered a meal (I shared two sides with the others), it was almost $70. With tip, $83. Ouch. Not going back until I win the lottery... More...

This may be the only good steakhouse around. Not sure, but I can't think of anything near that does a good steak. Actually, everything I have tried has been fantastic.
