Makeup by Miss T

Ok, this is LONG overdue! My wife and I are photographers and have worked with Tamara a few times now - and we LOVE her!

First, the most important parts: her work is amazing! She doesn't cake on the makeup - she puts enough on to get the job done, but doesn't hide a lack of skill by simply putting outrageous amounts of makeup on! I really like that (I personally don't like needlessly heavy makeup)! If more makeup is needed, she knows that, and uses more - she uses what is NEEDED! She brings out the beauty in whoever she works on - seriously, her work is breathtaking! I have never seen her work and thought "thats really good, but I wish..." nope, her work is always EXACTLY what I have envisioned, even though I am not very good at communicating what I am looking for. She just seems to know what to do, and how to do it! I can't stress enough how amazing her work is!

She shows up on time! That's so incredibly important! Photoshoots are very VERY time sensitive, so when a makeup artist is late, it's a crushing blow to the shoot - with Tamara, thats not an issue! She shows up on time, ready to work!

She works fast - but not rushed. Makeup takes as long as it takes, everyone needs to understand that. But it DOESN'T need to take forever! Tamara gets to work and has the models ready to go in plenty of time for the shoot (and again, when she is done, the models look GREAT!!) So she works fast, but you never see her looking stressed and panicked like she is rushing to get it done. She takes as long as she needs (which is a GOOD thing) to get the results we are after - and that amount of time is always plenty fast enough for the actual shoot to happen!

She has professional equipment and material, and knows what to do with it. I have run into two different types of "bad" makeup artists. One has stuff that looks like it came from an old garage sale, and makeup from the dollar store, but seems to be able to make it all work. The other has all the best stuff money can buy, and it seems like they just got it all the night before the shoot... they have NO idea what to do with all the stuff. Tamara has good equipment and material - pro stuff - and knows EXACTLY what she is doing!

Her prices are EXTREMELY reasonable! You don't end up feeling like she is trying to buy a vacation home with each shoot! Tamara is a professional, and professionals should be paid, of course. But Tamara isn't price gouging anyone, her prices are fair - and you aren't going to get better quality AT ALL from one of those higher priced MUA's!

She is friendly! She is actually fun and pleasant to be around, and the models have said so as well! People actually LIKE her to do their makeup, because the process itself is enjoyable since Tamara is such a nice person (and they know they are gonna look AMAZING when she is done!)

If we have a shoot that we need a makeup artist for, we contact Tamara first. The only reason we wouldn't use her for a shoot would be if she wasn't available. Bottom line, Tamara is our "go to" makeup artist, and she should be yours as well! More...
