Kitchen Chicago is such a beautiful space - and we are so happy it was the site of our wedding. Nicole and Orlando are incredibly easy to work with. Nicole handled all of our inquiries leading up to the wedding and was so responsive. She always worked to accommodate our needs - including finding space to store popsicles the day before our wedding. Orlando supported logistics the day of the wedding, and made sure that everything was delivered smoothly and that our vendors were set up for success. He even made sure we didn’t leave anything behind as my we live in New York. Overall, our wedding was amazing and beautiful and that was thanks to the Kitchen Chicago team! More...

We probably looked at over 15 venues for our July wedding. We knew we were too nervous to have a completely outdoor venue, and it wasn't in our budget to go with a space like Salvage One with both indoor and outdoor options, but we wanted a place that felt like it had it's shit together and had successfully hosted parties and weddings.

Enter Orlando. Orlando was the front-facing employee we dealt with for Kitchen Chicago, and he gave us an hours long tour on a Wednesday afternoon, complete with specific details about dos and don'ts for the venue space, dressed impeccably and fully accessorized. He answered questions we didn't know we had, calmed our fears, and still made us feel that our wedding would be unique and one-of-a-kind (#milleniallyfe). We were able to schedule multiple follow-up meetings with various vendors, he was available to answer questions and figure things out through day-of and day-after, and was just generally a delight to work with. As we got closer to our big day, we also worked with Nicole quite a bit, who was also such a joy!

The space itself is great- if you like the feel when you are there for a tour, you'll like it even more when it's decorated for your event. Our caterer was happy with the kitchen access, our DJ was able to setup easily, the natural light was on point for our photographer, the various decor vendors pulled things off without us even noticing- but the real meat of the venue-couple relationship is the people. The people at Kitchen Chicago are outstanding. Flexible, clear communicators who have limits and rules and stick to them without emotions taking over or trying to surprise you with something sneaky at the last minute. They bring to the table experience and knowledge of past mistakes and successes to make sure that your event goes even better than the last.

While their own food is very good (try the teriyaki beef skewers, they're incredible), the real key is that they'll work with local restaurants' catering teams to make your wedding dinner truly special. We had Honey Butter Fried Chicken as our entree, and everyone we've spoken to was super happy with the food. More...

Our wedding was just this past weekend and Danielle and her team were fantastic to work with. The food was delicious and we received many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed it. Danielle was really responsive and easy to work with, and the day-of crew were equally professional and attentive. We were impressed at the quality and value of the food, and the fact that Danielle was able to make that happen within our budget. More...

Danielle and her team are absolutely amazing. As soon as we met her we felt completely confident in her team. They are SO flexible, SO professional and SO helpful. And of course, their food is AMAZING. I can't even count the number of guests who complimented our food. As a bride that didn't have a planner, I really felt like she was part of my team and that was everything. More...

We knew immediately we wanted to go with Maison Cuisine once we met Danielle and tasted her food! Everything was beyond delicious, beautiful, full portions and made with love :) We've received SO many compliments on how amazing our appetizers, dinner, cheese cake (literally made out of cheese) , and Late night food was. Danielle and her crew were so professional and friendly to work with. She was upfront with us and honest and you could just tell she wants to make every event the best. They were wonderful and we would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you again! More...

Kitchen was such a great find for our ceremony and reception. I don't even remember how I came across them but I'm so glad I did. We chose Kitchen because they were BYOB, had no vendor restrictions, and had the look we wanted for comparatively cheap. But they ended up being one of our favorite vendors to work with. Everything was easy and no-nonsense. Nicole was always very prompt to reply to emails and Orlando always very helpful arranging meetings onsite (and coordinating the day of!). They were always very flexible, and we especially appreciated being able to drop items off a couple days before the wedding and pick remaining items up a couple days later. We even missed a few bottles of leftover alcohol and Nicole emailed us to let us know so we could pick them up a couple weeks later. While the venue is a little "no-frills" and doesn't include much, it really has all the essentials. There is a bridal suite, pretty loft area, multiple bathrooms, an extra side room which we used for the photobooth, and a security guard. They also have several tables of varying sizes (that you can use for things like the bar, card table, etc.), a wooden altar piece, some easels/small decor items, and 150 chairs which was one less thing to rent. One of the best tangential benefits is that Kitchen has tons of full-service commercial kitchen space/equipment so you will save money on catering rentals! In terms of space, we had a 95-person, full dinner reception with long tables and a dance floor. It was great for our size, but anything bigger (or with round tables) and I think it would start to feel cramped. We did do a room flip between the ceremony and reception which was not a problem at all and handled seamlessly by Kitchen and our other vendors (the loft helps with cocktail hour spillover). In addition to all of the logistical positives, the venue is just beautiful and needs very little to look amazing. The super high ceilings, cool light fixtures, and brick walls really add a lot and make it look like an upscale industrial loft. We had a bunch of candles, some drapery, some string lights, and great flowers and that was all we needed! More...

This is one of the venues we are considering. It's a very nice space to have a wedding - we went to one there recently and it was beautiful. Besides all that, the staff member who showed us around - Orlando - was extremely helpful in not only showing us the venue but also giving us general wedding tips. If we do pick this space, it will be very largely in part to Orlando. More...

After viewing multiple venues across the Chicago-land area, my wife and I knew as soon as we walked in the doors that Kitchen Chicago would be the venue for our September wedding.  Nicole was warm, welcoming, and we immediately felt like we were in the presence of a friend.  She completely understood our vision, never pressured us about our budget, and made us feel as if anything was possible.  We contacted her the next day and signed a contract.  Over the next year, she was absolutely incredible to work with.  She was always quick to respond and always ready to offer help with whatever we needed.  We didn't have a single moment of panic or stress, thanks to Nicole's chill nature and 'can do' attitude.  We also worked with Orlando!  He gave my wife a fantastic tour of the venue with her parents and had them laughing and feeling right at home.  He was present the day of the wedding and made us feel like Princesses.  He and Nicole are a phenomenal team.If you have any doubts about this venue, set them aside.  We couldn't have picked a more perfect space to get married in.  All of our guests were shocked at how gorgeous the space was inside.  Thank you Nicole, Orlando, and all of Kitchen Chicago for the most incredible wedding ever!!! Danielle is amazing to work with and her food is out of this world! From start to finish, working with Danielle was amazing. She gave us so much guidance on timeline, menu, alcohol vendors, rentals, etc. We probably emailed back and forth over a hundred times before the wedding and she always replied quickly! Her staff was incredible: so friendly, professional, and attentive to us and our guests. We got SO many compliments on the food. Some of our guests told us they were just waiting by the kitchen door for more lobster rolls to come out bc they were so good! Danielle and her crew at Maison Cuisine exceeded all of my expectations and made my wedding day spectacular. My husband and I were referred to Maison Cuisine by our venue's coordinator as we were looking for a nice, but affordable caterer. From the moment we met Danielle we felt more at ease with the wedding planning process, and that we were in good hands with Maison. Danielle was not only very responsive and communicated with us regularly, she brought up issues that we didn't even think about and gave us some great advice on the wedding details. Now, on to the food. We were surprised by the amount of food that was served, as well as the diversity in the menu. Again, Danielle was very helpful in assisting us with creating the ideal hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and dessert for an autumn wedding. My guests were quite satisfied and raved about the food. Our overall experience with Maison Cuisine was outstanding. The food, the service, and the planning efforts led by Danielle were phenomenal, and no matter your budget, I believe Maison can accommodate your needs. I highly recommend Maison for catering weddings and other significant events. More...

My son and new daughter had their wedding there on Saturday, October 21, 2017.  I only met Orlando last November and then the day of the wedding and he was so awesome.  Matt & Rosanne communicated with the venue throughout the year and enjoyed working with the staff! It is a very different kind of venue and the bride and groom really made it their special area with a lot of help from out of town friends.  Almost everyone invited or standing up in the wedding were out of state, including both sets of parents.  Everyone invited had only great things to say about the venue, it gets so much light from the outdoors.  It was a beautiful venue and a beautiful celebration! We Just had our wedding here this past Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing and everything we imagined. First of all, for what you're getting (a beautiful open loft space in the city) the price is unbeatable. I'm not kidding when I say I contacted no less than 10 similar venues here and no one was close to the price. The space itself is really unique, and they aren't contracted with any vendors, have no "preferred" list of caterers you must work with, nothing at all like that so you can make your event exactly what you want it to be. Which is incredibly helpful if you're like us and have champagne taste on a beer budget.

In addition to being a super cool space, the staff is amazing. We worked primarily with Nicole, who is so incredibly helpful for a venue manager. I emailed her countless times with questions about vendors, logistics stuff and just general "how do I make this happen" type of things and she was always so friendly, responsive and accommodating. We put together our own centerpieces with bulk flowers the day before the wedding and they let us use a cooler to store them in overnight even though they had a wedding that day. We were able to go to the venue last minute for a few things without any hassle or issue. Pretty much anything I proposed to her she was like "cool, let's do it, how can I help?". You could tell she really cares about peoples day going as seamless as possible, and is so down to earth and easy to work with.

I cannot say enough good things about Kitchen Chicago and feel truly fortunate we found this "diamond in the rough" : )

And the space at Kitchen Chicago is truly beautiful & amazing! We had around 85 people and had food stations, several farm style tables and seating, along with a dance floor, cornhole games in the loft & a photo booth in one of the smaller, adjacent rooms. Kitchen Chicago was an amazing place to hold our wedding! The space is absolutely beautiful and a lot can be done to personalize it. We had the reception at KC for about 100 guests in December 2016 and it was a perfectly sized space. We had a buffet style dinner (there is a room for a buffet that is perfect for this) and dance floor that was very popular. From the beginning, Nicole and Orlando were wonderful and easy to work with. KC is the ideal place to hold your wedding because everyone is organized and dependable but not trying to get every dime out of you. This is an easy group to work with for a very affordable price. Everything is BYO but they have a great list of vendor partnerships that they recommend. We got a huge amount of compliments on the space both during and after our wedding. We'd definitely recommend anyone to hold their wedding here! More...

From answering our questions to accommodating our specific needs.  I really appreciate quick response times with event planning because there's just so many moving parts that can be affected by a simple answer to a question. Maison Cuisine catered our wedding on 9/13/14 and did SUCH an amazing job. Danielle was a dream to work with, and the food was totally amazing. We needed an all-vegetarian menu with a bunch of gluten free options, and Danielle didn't even blink. She had tons of ideas of delicious and pretty appetizers and several choices of main course, none of which were boring pasta or veggie plates. Guests had a choice of quinoa-stuffed roasted acorn squash or curried vegetable pot pie. Our food was the best food I've ever had at a wedding! The service was also beautiful and professional. And, it wasn't any more expensive than other caterers in the area who have way less delicious food. Highly recommended! More...

I came here for a wedding on NYE. It's a really cool building with industrial styling, and a large industrial kitchen for shared use by anyone who wants to pay for time to use it. This makes it great for weddings and parties where you want to bring in your own cooking staff. There's a cool lofted area above the main room which is a nice feature for guests to wander into. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Danielle and her team. She worked with us to cater our June wedding, but honestly beyond the food she took on an even bigger role on the coordinating side for the day-of, which allowed me to feel confident and relaxed about every detail. From the very beginning she worked with us on a menu that would be both delicious, and fit our budget. She was extremely flexible and frank about what we needed and what we could do without--which I honestly appreciated so much after talking to other wedding vendors that tried to up-sell us on additional extras. She is prompt in answering emails, professional, and easygoing, which allowed us to relax and just trust her from the very start. She met with us at our venue a few weeks out to make a final plan for the day-of, and was very involved with our plans as we got closer so that everything was clear. She agreed to help set up basic table cenerpieces, even though we ended up doing it ourselves, and coordinated with the bakery and the other deliveries so that we wouldn't have to. Her Captain, Sarah, checked in throughout the night of the wedding to make sure that everything was running smoothly and made sure that we got a plate of appetizers since we ended up taking pictures during our cocktail hour. I would absolutely recommend using MC for every event! More...

Danielle is the best!!!  I reached out to a handful of caterers when planning our wedding. She was the only one that managed our budget perfectly and really listened to our needs. Honestly catering is a HUGE part of a wedding, as I've now come to learn, Danielle really helped with the coordination of so much.  You want someone who cares and she does. Even after we changed venues and she wasn't on the "preferred list" she still reached out to check in and from that point I wanted no one else to cater our wedding. Food was delicious, great staff and she's super professional and on top of it, even when you aren't which will happen.Pick Maison Cuisine!!! More...

Danielle and her team at Maison Cuisine recently catered my wedding at the Dank Haus and I really can’t say enough good things about our experience. From the very first email, Danielle was quick to respond, professional, and extraordinarily helpful. After our tasting there was no doubt that we absolutely needed MC to cater our wedding because the food we had was amazing.

In those crazy final days, Danielle would respond to my million emails and questions in lightning fast fashion. She was on top of everything and that really helped put me at ease.

On our wedding day, everything was set up perfectly and right on time. The staff that we had that day was incredible. They were professional, polite, and provided some of the best dining service I have ever had. After our wedding, our guests could not stop raving about how wonderful the bartender and all the servers were.

As for the food day of….well that was spectacular too. My only regret is that I didn’t try to cram more food in because everything tasted amazing. Our guests also raved about the food and even 2 weeks later, will bring up how great everything was.

I really and truly cannot recommend Maison Cuisine enough.

My husband and I got married at Kitchen Chicago in March, and it was a great place to celebrate! It really is a diamond in the rough – the industrial factor of the surrounding neighborhood really adds character to an already interesting and beautiful space. We had 70 guests and there was more than enough space for everyone to mingle, plus I loved that we could transition from the ceremony right into the reception easily by just moving the chairs over to the tables that were already in place. We scheduled the wedding during sunset and I can’t even describe the color and glow of the room. It was absolutely amazing. Plus we could see the lights of United Center for the Blackhawks game that was going on later in the evening. Nicole, Orlando and Alexis were all very helpful and accommodating, and they have a lot of tips and tricks for using their versatile space to make things happen. I really appreciated being able to schedule deliveries before and after the weekend so we weren’t charged a premium for Saturday pickup. Overall we had a great experience here and I would recommend KC to anyone looking for a versatile event space. More...

We looked at a number of caterers for our wedding before settling on Maison, and we're so glad we chose them.  Danielle was very professional, accommodating and easy to work with.  The food was delicious and served in a professional manner.  Many of the guests complimented us on it.  I've heard many people say they didn't have time to eat during their weddings, but I made sure to do so. and my mango chicken was scrumptious.  Highly recommended.  - Lon Wehrle (groom) More...

We LOVED the space in Kitchen Chicago for our wedding - it was affordable, adaptable, and fit our 120-guest wedding perfectly (though if you're planning on more than 130, it will probably be a little snug!)  We were able to hold both the wedding ceremony and the reception in the same space, with plenty of space for all of our guests to sit for the wedding and dinner, and also lots of space for a dance floor with a DJ, and a photo booth/quieter area in the loft in the back!We looked at City View Lofts in the same building as well, and while we liked how beautiful the space was up there, we really appreciated the cathedral-y, high ceiling feel of Kitchen.  Orlando, Alexis and all of Kitchen's team were a dream to work with - we were able to arrange (for a little extra) to have a few extra hours of set-up, and we loved the amount of time we were able to book the space for - such a difference from the "in and out in 4 hours" we were often quoted with while we were looking for venues.  We also so appreciated that while we had a recommended caterer list, we didn't have required vendors, meaning we were able to customize and keep our wedding so much more affordable than it otherwise would have been (and our caterer LOVED our venue and had used it before - everyone's so nice!).  Not something to take lightly in the City of Chicago wedding market!Would so highly recommend this space to any friends getting married - it was wonderful for us! Great location to hold our wedding with a very industrial yet warm look. The staff was very flexible and they ensured we had the resources necessary to make our wedding a success.

We could see ourselves using the space for other functions in the future!

The man and I had our wedding at this venue last Saturday.  The event was a raging success, the guests loved the space. Alexis and Orlando were as accommodating as can be and let us store our things there before the event which was a HUGE bonus. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the next day one of those weird, traveling churches with big audio setups was at the venue and they MOVED all OUR stuff into another room, spilling some things, etc. I had been told our things would stay undisturbed until Monday and we could return and take things home. I hated that strangers were pawing over OUR things and presuming to move them because "they were in their way."  It really rubbed me the wrong way.  I WOULD NEVER TOUCH, let alone MOVE things that didn't belong to me, whether they were in our way or not.  I guess Jesus wanted our stuff out of their way so they could get their praise on.  A church guy was even looking through our stuff as we were loading up, I asked him, "Can I HELP you?"  I almost lost my s***.  He said, "I'm just making sure we have all our stuff."  WOW.  I suspect the trespass had nothing to do with Alexis or Orlando or any staff at Kitchen. I just said that to make the point that the venue is a big, open space and anyone can come in and disturb (or take) anything you may leave for later, so be careful about that if you use them.  Otherwise, I really loved this venue. Just had my wedding here a few weeks ago - NO COMPLAINTS!  Orlando is amazing.  Very friendly and professional each time we met with him.  This place is a DIY dream - great space!  Also very affordable compared to other lofts that are wedding venues only.  I definitely recommend this space for small-medium weddings.  The professional kitchen was a great added bonus for our cater.  A+++ More...

The space was gorgeous. The price was right. The people were very helpful and responsive throughout the planning process.
We had a couple problems the day of....we arrived to a filthy space...no one had cleaned from a raucous party the night before. Apparently that job was assigned to someone who didn't fulfill his responsibility. Our point person was in a minor accident en route to the venue, and there was no one else available to contact for help. In the end, he arrived and put in a huge effort to make it right. It added a lot of stress...but everything worked out, and I gather it was an unusual occurrence. We had a beautiful experience in spite of the rough start. Orlando was our helper that day, and once he arrived he did a great job to make it all better. More...

We just had our wedding at Kitchen this past weekend and we couldn't have picked a better venue. It was bright and open and it was the perfect size for our 95 guests. Everyone kept commenting about how they loved the space and how unique it was. Alexis and Orlando were so helpful with any questions or concerns we had along the way. I will admit that from the outside Kitchen is very unassuming and admittedly not very attractive from the street, but once you get inside, you forget the area you're in. There's free street parking nearby so I think that definitely makes up for the fact that it's a bit industrial and plain from the street view. If you want a unique venue that isn't a typical ballroom or church, Kitchen is where it's at. More...

Danielle and her team were great to work with! She was one of the approved caterers at Salvage One, and I'd heard a lot of positive things about her from other folks. I was planning our Chicago wedding from the East Coast and it didn't phase Danielle at all. She was prompt in her responses, very organized and took the time to walk me through everything remotely.

We finally met face-to-face about a month before our wedding to do our walk through. We had some issues with the vendors I had selected for our cake and booze liquor store. Both fell through at the last minute. I was really stressed about it and Danielle went above and beyond.... offering some other alternatives who ended up being easy to work with and worked out perfectly.

On our wedding day, Danielle's team was there on time and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food and the service was great. They even made a plate for us during cocktail hour to make sure we were able to enjoy everything. I'd highly recommend Maison Cuisine.

We used maison catering for our wedding this weekend at Salvage One. Danielle and her team were absolutely amazing to work with! She was always responsive and happy to answer any of our billion of silly questions. Not only were her ideas and visions for the day right on but her food was amazing! Our guest were raving about it all night long! Her staff were so fun and professional to work with all night long. She went the extra mile to make our wedding amazing! We did a tasting with Danielle early on in the process and loved everything she made. We ended up ordering different food than we tasted and loved all of those choices as well! Our guest kept taking about the amazing appetizers, her truffle butter and the wonder entrees she made! I want to have another party just so I can use Maison catering again! More...

I was looking at this location for my wedding reception. It had the space, the urban feel, and the friendly staff. However, the parking was not enough for more than a dozen cars. This means that the rest of our guests would have to park on the street, which, being from the suburbs, made me feel uneasy. When I went here, the cleaning staff was moping, and it still smelled strongly of food. Not just a little, but it was inescapable. If you plan on bringing your own food, hopefully it will smell like your food haha. But seriously, a great price for a nice diy urban event location. More...

Danielle with Maison Cuisine catered our wedding two weeks ago and everything was phenomenal! We had a cocktail hour (or half hour) before our wedding ceremony at Salvage One as well as a cocktail hour after the ceremony prior to dinner. We had different eats at both cocktail hours and everyone loved them. (Examples: truffled mac-n-cheese and bacon wrapped dates. Yum!) Since we were going with a wintery vibe, we had wanted Spiked Apple Cider for our cocktail hour and Binny's was supplying our alcohol. Well, my husband and I had NO idea until after the wedding was over, but Binny's completely forgot the cider. Danielle went out and bought everything we needed for the Cider so everything went off without a worry at all. I can't imagine any other catering company or person being so great as to do that for you the day of the wedding!Back to the food - everybody loved it, including us. We made sure to be sitting throughout the entire meal and said hi to all of the guests between the ceremony and reception because eating is very important to a hungry groom, as I am sure many brides can imagine. Also, we had someone who kept checking on us throughout the meal to make sure that everything was going as planned and kept refilling our drinks. And for those into late night food, we had sliders passed around in the middle of dancing which everyone loved! We could not recommend Maison Cuisine enough! More...

Danielle and her staff catered my wedding at Salvage One- the two vendors go together so well, and out of the things people don't tell you about planning a wedding, vendors knowing each other is one of them.Danielle's food was really lovely- it reminded me of my own cooking at home (elevated a couple levels of course). Everyone at the wedding thought it was delicious. I appreciated that she used local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Danielle's catering prices were unbelievably reasonable- we may not have had a caterer if she wasn't available! Additionally, when we were interested in trying other appetizers, she let us visit her staff catering another event and try some in the kitchen. Danielle was incredibly responsive. I never had to worry that she had read an email from me.Lastly, while Danielle wasn't onsite during the wedding (she has a young one), she sent her totally capable and lovely chef Lisa. Lisa went above and beyond the call of duty on this day. Part of our package was to have someone help out with the set-up and coordination between the caterer and the other vendors. The people doing my flowers were supposed to set up a bunch of stuff- the place cards, candles, chupah. They didn't do any of it. Lisa didn't hesitate and jump right on it to help. I didn't even have to ask her, she just knew it needed to be done and I could focus on getting ready to get married. I will be forever grateful for that because at that point, in my state of mind, I couldn't have told you how to tie a shoe. Thank you Maison!! You made our day wonderful :) More...

I cannot say enough great things about Maison. The tasting and correspondence were all great before the wedding, and then the day of everything was truly fantastic! The catering staff was particularly wonderful! They even made plates of food for the bride and groom and brought them to our seats. And they brought us coffee!

All of the guests complimented the food and the staff, too. I loved it, they were super nice and efficient, and to hear that other people were really excited about the food as well was the icing on the cake!

We are so happy we chose Maison Cuisine for our September 2013 wedding!  Danielle was a pleasure to work with and the food was fantastic- not at all your typical wedding fare.  Everyone commented on how delicious the food was!  I especially loved the miso salmon and warm fall slaw.  Danielle helped us design a seasonal menu with dinner options for meat eaters, pescatarian, gluten-free, and vegan guests.   Her waitstaff were ultra courteous and hardworking.  My mother-in-law reported to me that at the end of the night, everything was neatly packed away and cleaned, which is a godsend after a very long day!  If you choose Maison for your wedding or other big event, you will be in good hands.  Danielle will work with you to the end to cover every last detail. We had our September 2013 wedding at Kitchen Chicago and we couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. First of all, this place is gorgeous. The pictures online seriously do not do it justice. Between the wood, the metal accents, and the copious amount of natural light streaming through the window, this place is like a dream. If you're on the fence, it is definitely worth a visit. Alexis, the owner, is extremely easy to deal with and incredibly responsive. I never had a problem getting my questions answered or having my concerns addressed. This was seriously invaluable. Honestly, there was very little I would change about this space. As others have said, the elevator is incredibly slow and a little unpredictable. This, in combination with the narrow stairway leading up to the loft space, mean that some older, less mobile, guests, may have an issue. As for the size of the space, this is definitely not a venue for large weddings. That being said, we had about 80 people and there was more than enough room for dancing and general schmoozing. Definitely a great place for those on a budget who still want something beautiful. More...

Kitchen Chicago (KC) was  the most perfect spot for our Wedding Reception! We placed a down payment on KC in April of 2012 for our September 2013 Wedding Reception. Throughout the coming months of planning and additional site visits, we experienced nothing but open arms from KC.KC is up-front, honest, accommodating, understanding, and just plain normal when it comes it wedding planning.Looking for a regular normal, nice, and friendly venue? KC is the place for you! We had 99 ( including B&G) in attendance at our wedding reception at KC. We had room to spare, so, we allowed our Front of Hour and Back of House to boogie down with us in the later hours of our party. This was really important to us as we're both hospitality people.A huge thank you to Alexis and Orlando! You made our day the BEST day ever. Kitchen Chicago was perfect for our extremely low-key wedding. We had our ceremony and reception here, for just under 100 people, and it was the perfect size and vibe. They are totally flexible about vendors, so you can have whatever food you want and BYO liquor. They were also really accommodating about letting us drop stuff off the day before and pick stuff up the day after. It's a beautiful space, too - without a doubt, the nicest place you'll find at this price point. The windows are gorgeous and let in tons of light, and though we didn't get much use out of the loft, it's a nice architectural feature. If you have your wedding here, though, a couple tips: you may want to hire a shuttle to take people home after the wedding - cabs were reluctant to drop people off here, I can't even imagine how hard it would've been to get cabs to come pick people up. Also, because it's a very DIY venue, having a wedding coordinator was really key for us - it would have been a huge disaster making everything come together otherwise. (Of course, if you're an organized person it might work out for you.) More...

Kitchen Chicago is a really nice place. They have a shared kitchen that people can rent. I went to visit them recently because I head they have a nice space for a wedding. WELL ITS TRUE!! They are located in a really industrial area. SO when you pull up your all sorts of confused and not expecting what's inside.  Its not much I can say but the price is budget friendly and the place looks great. Its defiantly a possibility. I got married at Kitchen Chicago in June of 2012.  I liked the space right away since it was a loft/rustic style that I wasn't finding a lot of in Chicago for a decent price.  Kitchen Chicago was definitely the best option for the price we found.  They were pretty accommodating when it came to being there the day before to decorate and have a rehearsal as well. Best things about it:-reasonable price-easy parking-you can choose any vendors you want-you can make it easy inexpensive OR expensive as you want - you choose everything from the table rentals to the catering-beautiful space Things that could have improved:-when we arrived the day before the wedding (on Friday) to decorate, the floor was pretty dirty which they said would be clean- My dad ended up sweeping the entire floor-The coordinator was sometimes hard to get ahold of; and there were a few miscommunications along the way - although everything turned out fabulously in the endIf you're wanting/willing to do alot of the "leg work" yourself (i.e. set up tables, all the decorations, tear down) this is a GREAT option! Maison Cuisine is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding at Salvage One, we are 100% satisfied and give them our highest recommendation.  We were referred to Maison from a friend who had also hired them to cater her wedding.  From start to finish, Danielle and her staff were excellent to work with because of their experience and professionalism.  Danielle understood this was the first event we had planned for 200+ guests.  She provided constant support and promptly answered all of our questions and relieved any pre-wedding worries.  She never told us "no" without exploring the things we wanted (ex: late night food, rentals, day of coordination).  Through all of these interactions, we were confident going into the event that we had made the best decision by working with Maison.  Everything during dinner went off without a hitch.  We chose to have a seated dinner of the guests choice (halibut, fillet, or mushroom pasta), the meals were plentiful and high quality. We were most impressed with the quality of service her staff provided during a late night reception power outage.  They all really stepped up their game and worked diligently by candlelight to continue providing exceptional service.  We have received so many positive reviews from guests regarding their overall experience.  Just as a DJ can sense the crowd's needs, the bartenders were able to do the same.  We greatly appreciate the time and energy of Danielle and her crew at Maison Cuisine, they made our wedding day extra tasty and unforgettable! I got married at Kitchen Chicago in April. We loved the place the minute we walked in to check it out for the first time. It is a huge loft with lots of exposed brick and big windows. Our wedding was for about 100 guests, and the size of Kitchen Chicago worked out great. We had a slightly non-traditional wedding and wanted the reception to feel more like a party and less like a sit-down dinner. The space worked perfect for this! We held our ceremony just before the reception, also at Kitchen Chicago, and the sun coming through the big windows looked beautiful. Kitchen Chicago was very easy to work with. They allowed us to come in the day before to set up some decorations and then come back a day or two after the wedding to pick some things up that we left behind. If you are not going to have a huge wedding, I would highly recommend Kitchen Chicago! It is slightly off-the-beaten-path, and well worth discovering! More...

We highly recommend using Maison Cuisine! Danielle and her team of staff were integral to the success of our wedding at Salvage One! Pre-planning was easy - I asked for a face to face meeting with Danielle to ease my planning-jitters, and she was calm, helpful, and kind in answering my questions. We planned a menu together to accommodate some vegetarian and dairy-free guests. No problem! Danielle attended the final walk through at Salvage One - she was knowledgable of the venue and other vendors we had chosen to work with. This was very appreciated! The day-of was smooth! Each time I turned around to follow up on decor, table arrangements, or details of the event - Danielle's team had taken care of it! Her staff was well polished, and polite to all of my guests. It was a busy night - so I didn't get to eat much, but my family and friends raved about the food they were eating! People went back to the food station for seconds and thirds! I'm not aware of any issues throughout the night - but even if there had been an issue, my guests and I had no idea! The evening was a total success due to Danielle and Maison Cuisine! Thank you! We got married here and as others have observed, it is awesome. Alexis was super accommodating with all the logistics. We looked at a bazillion spaces online and no one else has as reasonable rates, hours of use, and I suspect overall as nice of a staff. When we arrived on the day of, I was blown away by how wonderful the space looked. The lighting at night adds an elegance to the room that added so much impact that you just don't get when visiting during the day. We didn't have a wedding planner, so were super impressed when we learned that the staff (sorry, not sure of the name) went out of his way to  let my sister in-law know that everything was ready for her to be able to set up the space. It was a really perfect evening, in a perfect space.  Other details: We fit 130  for the ceremony and reception (which required partially flipping the room). I wish we had been a bit more thoughtful on maximizing use of the space's hidden gems like the second loft and the rear hallway.  For a dancing wedding I think 130 is about the max, at least with round tables. Though I didn't work with Kitchen Chicago directly, they put on a mighty good wedding.  Two of my friends got married here last weekend and it was wonderful.  The space itself is minimalist, so you can really decorate any way you'd like.  The colors are very soft: light wood tones, beiges, soft lights, beautiful lamps.  The foyer when you enter is very cozy and loungey.  There's couches for sitting, tables for cards/gifts, spaces for photos or some other setup and place cards.  There's only two bathrooms (both unisex) so prepare for a bit of a wait.  This space holds about 150 people and wasn't too cramped.  There's a space under the stairs for the bar (stock yourself), a coat room, a dessert table (also nestled under the stairs) and a lot of open, tall, lofted space for ceremonies, dinner and dancing.  There's also a really awesome lofted second floor with some small bar tables and room for a DJ (or Photo Booth if you're so inclined!).  This lofted space makes for some great people-watching after a few drinks, too.I'm not sure how their menus are put together, but all of the food we had here was excellent.  Very yummy appetizers of roast beef and mushroom all on tiny little melba toasts.  Servers came around with wine and appetizers, so remaining stationary was A-OK.  The dinner was outstanding.  Great family style service.  Salad with a light vinagrette, some kind of barley with lots of flavor that was yummy and kind of creamy, chicken with a great, thick gravy on top.  Really, really great food, especially for a wedding (you all know wedding food can get really blah).Very, very rad place for a wedding.  If you're into the whimsical, minimal and slightly small, Kitchen Chicago is definitely a place you should check out for a wedding (or other event). Danielle was very prompt and friendly in responding to my inquiries and when I gave her an idea of what we wanted to do (stations with appetizers and small plate dishes), she sent her general menu (with prices for everything) and also a sample menu from a previous wedding, so right away I had a clear idea of costs, which was very important to me.

When we met Danielle at her house for the tasting, she was very friendly and welcomed our input and questions about the menu. We were very happy with the wide range of foods we had, and I was sold. She was very laid back and easy to communicate with. I was a very low maintenance bride, and I just wanted things to be as easy as possible.

The week of the wedding we had a long conversation going over all of the rentals and how the day was going to go. I hung up feeling confident that Danielle would execute everything just as I planned. I didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator, so I was glad that she was handling the communication with the rental company and would be setting everything up the day-of.

Our wedding was at Kitchen Chicago, and after the ceremony the staff turned the room around for dinner very quickly while our guests enjoyed cocktails in the back of the room. Everyone loved the food (I especially enjoyed the passed apps we chose - shrimp skewers, prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, guacamole, and mushroom bruschetta), and the service was great. One server made sure my husband and I always had plenty of food, and everyone was friendly and responsive. We stayed at the venue until everyone went home - the Maison staff cleaned up everything thoroughly as my family and I packed up our decorations.
Overall my wedding turned out just as I had imagined, and Maison Cuisine was a big part that!

When I first started researching venues for my wedding, I happened across Kitchen Chicago on a random wedding blog I found. I fell in love with it when I saw the pictures, and the cost was pretty much unbeatable. It was the first place we went to see, and I think I knew as soon as we walked in that I would get married there.

We looked at a few more places in our budget range, including the Glessner House, Swedish American Museum, and High Concept Labs, but decided on Kitchen - I wanted that lofty, city feel, and being able to have total freedom to choose a caterer was also very important to us.

I mostly dealt with Alexis and Nicolle, and both were very helpful and prompt in returning emails and answering questions. I went a couple different times to look at the space before the wedding with no problem. We were able to get in the day before the wedding to decorate and do a rehearsal, which was awesome. My cousin made our desserts and rented a few hours in the baking kitchen the night before to finish everything up.

The space is so gorgeous on its own that we kept the decorations to a minimum. We had our ceremony in front of the large windows at about 5pm and people commented on how cool the sky looked behind us. We had a total of 130 people, and I would say that's probably the max for the space. We weren't crowded, but it was snug enough that I'm glad we didn't have many more than that. We probably couldn't have fit another table comfortably - we had to have room to dance!

I would highly recommend Kitchen Chicago - the people there are a pleasure to work with, very laid back and accommodating. And the cost is lower than comparable loft spaces in the city.

I think I first came across Maison Cuisine when looking through old indiebride.com message boards.  One or two brides gushed about Danielle and her food.  I was trying to find a full service caterer that would fit my fairly small budget.  Danielle seemed to have the whole package and I had pretty much decided Maison was the way to go, before we even had a tasting. I got married at Salvage One and had a little bit of a mis-communication with the staff about which caterers I could use, and had already done a tasting with a caterer that I thought I could use and was then told that their policy was different, etc. So my new problem was finding a caterer on their approved list that fit within my budget. The task seemed impossible until I contacted Danielle. She emailed us a menu to select items from and then we had a tasting at her house. The food was 100 times more delicious than the previous caterer with whom I felt bad about not being able to use - and she was totally affordable. I am so grateful for Salvage One's restrictive list of approved caterers! Otherwise, I would not have discovered Maison Cuisine!Since she has a little baby, she was not actually at the wedding (which she told me from the beginning would be the case). Her assistant (also named Danielle) was there and took care of everything, arriving a couple hours beforehand to help my friends set up tables, and light candles. It's a little silly, but this may have been the task that worried me most - who would do this? They did. My glass of sparkling rose was never empty - the servers always got there before I could finish! I got many compliments on the food and also on the family-style serving. I like to try a little bit of everything, so why not do that for the wedding! Danielle is super busy, so communication always seemed to happen on Mondays after she's done a bunch of weddings, so don't stress if it's Sunday and your Friday call has not been returned. My style of wedding planning was to let the experts handle the details. I didn't have to do anything on the day-of. I didn't have to worry about anything - just the way I wanted it. Danielle and her staff did not let me down! Except when they took away my unfinished plate of food :( but I guess they had to clean up and I was on the dance floor.  At least I did the tasting, so I know it was delicious! And she uses local and organic ingredients where possible - love that!Highly recommended. This will be a two-part review, as I'm still a month away from my wedding at Kitchen Chicago, but so far, so good!Long before I ever knew who I would married, I knew I would get married at A New Leaf in Lincoln Park.  Apparently I wasn't the only one, because when I called to try to book a year out, they weren't even considering ANY (as in, not even on a Tuesday night) event for the next 1.5 years.  Sooo, the search for a new space began. And the first time I saw a pic of the space at Kitchen Chicago, I knew we would make it work.  And in a lot of ways it's a way better space.Everyone I've dealt with at KC has been nice, chill, responsive, flexible, and knowledgeable.  What more could I ask for?  Nicolle has been the one I've pestered for the last few months, and she's great!  Always answers questions promptly (I'm an emailer, because if it's not written down, I forget), and has As the Friday before is unbooked, they've been flexible about splitting time, so we can get in to decorate and do a quick rehearsal for two hours the day before the wedding, and then still have 10 hours left for the wedding. The neighborhood is a bit off-putting, but the contrast of the industrial with the incredible warmth of the loft event area is what I love.  And the price was right!  The only place I found in Chicago for less (with no catering/alcohol restrictions) was the Swedish American Museum.  We booked the space for $2K on a Saturday (booked last November, so prices may be a bit different now).  There's loads of parking (and a slightly less industrial entrance) on Bell Street, so keep that in mind if you are thinking of booking.  We we be using a shuttle to bring people back downtown at the end of the evening (and the extra $900 to hire a shuttle STILL puts this way below the cost of most venues).I'll update everything after the wedding, but I'm not too worried  : ) More...

Highly recommend Maison Cuisine!  Many guests commented that Maison's food was the best wedding food they ever had.  And we agree.  Food was fabulous.  She developed a personalized menu based on our station concept. She created an Italian station with made-to-order pasta, Asian station with sushi and peanut noodle dish displayed in white takeout cartons with a wire handle, and a Latin station with amazing fish, among other things.  Danielle made a special trip to the venue to see the layout and discuss the logistics of everything. Everything went smoothly; staff was friendly and helpful.  My only complaint was that food was cleared a bit too early - guests wanted seconds. More...

This was my favorite vendor of the wedding. Besides an initial scare when she tried to reschedule our tasting at the last minute Danielle was a joy to work with. She was responsive to all of my requests and emails, easy to get a hold of and very flexible. She altered our planned menu after the tasting to my request and the food was fantastic. It was delicious and unique while also hitting the mark of being well-liked by guests with many different tastes. The staff that they provided was incredible. I got tons of compliments about their service and help and they were all very professional and responsive to guests. This may be the best vendor of our wedding. I would very highly recommend them. Danielle is an utter joy to work with. She truly understands the level of care and attention required to operate a successful, service based business in 2012. Her food is simple and delicious. Her staff was made up of the most friendly people imaginable. One of them stayed by our table most of the night making sure that it was orderly as we went about our wedding routines and greetings. Every single one of them was friendly and willing to go beyond their duties in order to make our even a success. I cant speak highly enough of Danielle, her team and the event they put on for us. I had to come back and write an update after the wedding.  I really wish there were more than 5 stars to be honest.  I knew working with Danielle was amazing, but her staff was absolutely awesome!May 27th we had our wedding and from start to finish Maison Cuisine did a fabulous job, from arriving hours before hand to set up for the wedding, to staying hours after the wedding for cleanup.  Danielle's staff was very attentive, complimentary and friendly.  When my glass was almost empty there was another glass of champagne on the way for me without my having to ask.  When I got up for a dance or to greet people, I never returned to the table without having my napkin folded and placed nicely on the table.  I feel like while everyone in the room got amazing service, there was someone always standing near our sweetheart table just in case there was anything they could help me and my husband with.  While I did provide a very detailed timeline (which the staff raved about), I was still a little uncertain about certain aspects of the reception, as this is my first time getting married, but the staff was a step ahead.  I wasn't sure exactly how the cake cutting process would go, but they rolled the cake out to the dance floor, let us cut it, rolled it back, cut it up for guests and by the time we got back to our seats there was a piece of cake waiting for us.  Like magic!  I wish I could remember names of the staff to give shout out's, but each of them made our day very special.  I know I am harping on the service, but what is most important to people is the food.  We still have guests almost 3 weeks later raving about the food!   The mash potatoes and plantain fried rice were the star players, but honestly I loved the salmon, flank steak, just everything!  Some people worry about doing stations, but our guests were very impressed at how fresh and hot everything was.  The servers took great care of the state of the dishes.  If anything was getting low, it was refreshed.  People were going to town on the potatoes and it looked like the end was in sight before everyone had some, but the servers just took over the serving of the potatoes and there was enough to go around. Thank you Thank you Thank you Maison Cuisine for making my wedding the BEST!  We will definitely be using you if we have any other events, or if anyone ever asks for recommendations. More...

We recently had our wedding reception at Kitchen Chicago (May 2012) and it was the perfect venue for us! Alexis is super easy to work with and extremely accommodating. I was concerned about being able to set up some things the day before, and she made it easy for us to get access to the space both the day before and the day after to pick up leftover items.

It is beautiful space that actually requires minimal decoration. I had never seen it in the late afternoon and it was just beautiful and bright when we walked in for our reception around 5:30pm. Because the space is a beautiful blank canvas and Alexis is so flexible, you can really make the space your own. It was perfect for our buffet reception of 85 people. We used the loft space to set out some snacks during the cocktail hour and that worked out well too.

We loved that we could bring in any caterer and were able to have one of our favorite local BBQ restaurants cater our wedding. Also the ability to bring in your own alcohol was a big money saver for us.

Kitchen Chicago is a great space that you can totally make your own!

I actually found Maison Cuisine on Yelp myself, and couldn't agree more with the previous reviews!!!  By far, working with Maison Cuisine was the LEAST stressful part of our wedding/reception and we couldn't have asked for anything more.  Because we actually got married a month prior to our event in the Caribbean, Danielle suggested a few food ideas that would go well with our wedding theme.  Things like bite size mango/chicken quesadillas, coconut shrimp, Caribbean black bean salad, plantain-veggie fried rice and pork tenderloin with pineapple... to name a few.  Danielle asked the right questions, gave the perfect recommendations and was always quick to respond.  She even offered to do the tasting at our reception venue (and the $100 tasting fee was still credited to our balance due)!  The food was excellent and the service was exceptional - both before and during the event.  And the servers did more than just serve.  They dressed professionally, were kind and helped with set up/clean up.  Oh, and Danielle didn't nickel and dime us with miscellaneous charges.  She quoted the food/service/rentals very matter-in-fact and didn't have hidden fees like cake cutting, required gratuity, etc.  Even though we signed the contract six months prior, she only asked for 50% a month before the event and the balance due the day of.  Not to mention, she was very accommodating to our multiple guest count changes - at the last minute of course.  Basically, there's only good things I could say about Maison Cuisine!  I would 100% use them myself or recommend them for future catering needs.  I promise, if you use Maison Cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Everyone always says the caterer is one of the most important vendors to secure for your wedding. Luckily I found Danielle at Maison Cuisine! Danielle made everything so easy - so many questions come up when planning a wedding around food, rentals, set up, etc, and she was always so accommodating and able to answer everything that came up. Since your caterer is someone you book right away, you end up working with them the length of your engagement. Mine was over a year, and Danielle was always cool, calm and collected, and extremely nice the entire time.

Now her food - seriously some of the best I've ever had! She offers an extensive menu of local and organic options, all very delicious! There's something for everyone, with a range of more traditional dishes as well as some nontraditional - important to have options like this if you want to do something a little different for your wedding but still accommodate the people who aren't very adventurous. We did a tasting and everything was amazing, it was hard to choose what to offer our guests! In the end we picked our favorites, some were even custom dishes my fiance and I loved.

On our wedding day Danielle and her team were amazing. She really brought everything to life, and the food was so delicious. Each dish was beautiful and you would never have guessed she had to make 165 plates! The quality was perfection as was her professionalism. I can't thank Danielle and her team enough for really making our day special!

We had our 'happy baby' welcoming party for our new daughter at Kitchen Chicago and couldn't have been happier. I had so many guests ask how we had found such a great venue, and I hope that they, too, give their party business to Kitchen Chicago. (I also hope to host future events there as well.) Alexis was super accommodating, and it was very convenient for me, with a newborn, to communicate 90% via email. The space itself is just very pretty with the big windows, hardwood floors, and big country-style tables. Because of this, we did very simple decorations and only to add pops of pink and red to go with our baby theme. Having use of one of the kitchens helped tremendously as we were able to easily keep the food warm and preparation out of the way. The fact that you can bring in your own food from a licensed place is also a huge bonus (as opposed to a required list). Despite all of the work that comes into throwing a party, Kitchen Chicago made it a bit easier by being flexible, accommodating, and just plain nice people all around. We had a funny occurrence in which a man in short-shorts walked through the party and when I stopped to ask him how we could help him, he said he was looking for the yoga instructor that was to lead the class next door. He seemed absolutely oblivious to the fact that we were in the middle of a private affair. No big deal; more humorous than anything. I think to avoid this, we should have made sure the back door and room where all of our purses/bags were was locked or monitored.Street parking was easy on a Saturday afternoon, just make sure you have balloons or a sign near the street/entrance directing your guests where to go. Alexis and her team are great!  I fell in love with this location, and it was perfect for our wedding day in April 2011. The rental price is reasonable compared to other lofty, urban type event spaces (however, as it gains in popularity, that may change.) When we booked, there was no required caterers list (the caterer you use does need to be licensed,) and you could bring in your own alcohol (but you need a bartender to serve it.)  I'm a wedding photographer, and know that many other Chicago loft spaces can be dark, but there is so much natural light here...and I love the loft overlooking the space! We had both our ceremony and reception here, and it was the perfect size for our intimate event (about 80 people.) I could not have asked for a better location to have our wedding! I also love the big timber tables and benches!  BTW, our wedding here was on the first Chicago episode of the TLC show "Four Weddings" back in August, 2011.The only thing I had a problem with was that the elevator was unreliable at times...not a big deal for me to walk up some stairs, but it could be an inconvenience to some guests...none of mine mentioned it though. Surprise Birthday!!!  My wife is impossible to surprise, the worst person to pull something over on.  With the help of my sister-in-law and Danielle, the owner, of Maison Cuisine, it would have not been possible.  Turning 30 is not easy for anyone and my wife is no exception.  With a melancholy tone she declared that her birthday was "no big deal". I knew it was a big deal and wanted her to know how much I love her, so I called  a few catering companies to see if I could make what I pictured in my head a reality.  Maison Cuisine and Danielle was the only company that was able to make it happen. The staff was more than willing to help in every way, from setting everything up to cleaning up at the end of the night.  My wife is the one who usually throws a  party, but with the help of Maison Cuisine it was a wonderful night and completely seamless.  I feel very lucky to have found such a truly reasonably priced and helpful partner in crime!  Thank You Maison for making my wife's day so wonderful!! We had our wedding at Kitchen Chicago and it was everything we had hoped for! Alexis is super accomodating, friendly and responsive over email. We were looking for a loft space for our wedding (in a 6 month planning window) and we decided "this is it!" pretty much the moment we walked in. The event space is gorgeous - with exposed brick, lots of large windows and great natural lighting (until 8:30 or 9 PM!). We did the decorating ourselves and made many trips to see the space up until our wedding day. The beauty of a bare canvas space is that we got to do whatever we wanted! We made our own art installation pieces, paintings, put up pillows and candles. The space was totally our own and we loved it. Even when we came to pick up the rest of our decor, we saw two other couples checking out the space - we're glad that people have found this hidden gem! When we came to visit with our vendors, A/C was never on. They turned it on for our event though and the temperature was fine throughout the night. A couple of the fans weren't working but it wasn't too hot. If you're looking for a unique loft space with TONS of free parking on the weekend) at a reasonable price, KC is your place! More...

I cannot say enough good things about this place. When my husband and I were looking for venues to hold our ceremony and reception we went through a lot of different ideas. A friend of mine had been to an event here and told me to check it out. The website describes it as a shared kitchen space for start up chefs that also has an event space attached. I immediately liked this, since I am a chef, and thought it would be great way to add a little of my personality to the wedding.

The pictures of the event space did make it seem a little small, our guest list being 80ppl, but we decided to check it out anyways. When we walked in I was blown away! The space was much, much bigger than I thought it was! And it was exactly what we were looking for. The price was great. Alexis our main contact was very attentive and answered all of our questions within hours of emailing. It had exposed brick, high ceilings and a loft space. Plus the attached kitchen which was very, very convenient for our caterers. And on top of all of that you even get a security guard included in the price!!!

My husband does event planning for a living and I worked as a banquet Chef were I mainly focused on weddings so we do have a lot of experience with both good and bad vendors and Kitchen Chicago came out way on top.

We got so many compliments on the space, it truly was an amazing find and made our special day perfect! I would highly recommend this space for any event

Maison Cuisine was VERY reasonable in price when you take into account the taste and display of the food. Owner Danielle is very professional, accommodating, and quick to respond to your messages and/or requests. I was impressed that she stayed on grounds all night to monitor her staff, etc. and went out to purchase the additional wine needed when we ran out. I received several compliments on the food; we all know 9 out of 10 times the food at wedding is average at best.  Thumbs up!!! More...

Truly--a unicorn!!!Danielle catered our unorthodox wedding in a city park. She was great about helping us figure out how to make it work in this unusual site, and was easygoing, accommodating and super-friendly every step of the way. She also took care of the rentals, a huge relief. We loved that she sourced her meat and produce locally when possible. The price was reasonable, too (!!!) and people raved about the delicious food.  As Carolyn said in her review, this combination seems downright miraculous. How is it even possible? I'm guessing it's the obvious love Danielle has for her small business, and the pride she takes in her work. Maison is everything  you could want in a caterer. Will definitely work with her again for work-related events. More...

Danielle was AMAZING to work with. Both my new husband and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone with no hesitation or reservations.

We are both aspiring foodies, and her menu had a lot of really great options; our guests especially loved the appetizers (truffled mac and cheese spoons, grapes rolled in goat cheese, and garlic shrimp skewers were especially good).

I really cannot say enough good things about Danielle and her crew; they took care of setup, cleanup, and service during the event. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly. Because I did all the planning myself, Danielle and her people stepped in to help with anything and everything.

We were 100% thrilled with every aspect of working with Maison Cuisine.

Danielle is a complete hidden gem in Chicagoland catering options. Unlike every single other caterer we contacted, she was actually able to work within our budget and provided amazing food, service and professionalism within that budget. She was always friendly, offering up extra help and suggestions, definitely going above and beyond what she needed to do as the caterer, even moving chairs for us when we needed help. Her staff was wonderful and very helpful as well. Everything looked lovely and the food was amazing. We couldn't have had nearly as nice of wedding as we did had we not found her.
