Maid in Your Hometown

They canceled last minutes on me saying that their person cannot come, and they told me that they have availability and booked someone for next day. The night before second appointment they cancelled again saying they couldn’t find anyone for me (after telling me that they found one and booked it!).

You know the irony? Once I cancelled on them before my appointment (nobody was at my place yet) and they sent me a bill and threatened me that they will send out debt collectors if I don’t pay!!

I asked for my money back when they cancelled on me and they laughed at my face. Worst people in the industry, never use them. More...

Worst service!!! I was sent a technician who DID NOT fully clean. She left dead flies behind my couch, left the debris in the cupboards, and didn't clean the baseboards either, which was requested. I sent the pictures for dispute & paid because I was told she wouldn't leave until receiving payment. I called the service line and they told me they would do something to amend the order. Nothing happened with reimbursement. The cleaner came back but still didn’t clean the baseboards. I was given a 15% off coupon to use on my next order. I placed an order today, they rescheduled then canceled last minute, just in time for my landlord. The company is disorganized and very unprofessional. This company is horrible. We had a horrible experience with them. Instead of working with us to solve the issue they quickly jump to threats. Really disgusting.

-there are too many cleaners, it's hard to get orders. You might get one a week or so. It's not enough to provide for yourself
- the company sometimes asks you to stay over the allotted time to go over the clean if the customer is not satisfied.- this incentivizes customer to complain and to try to get as much out of you as possible

This company has a lot of work to do to improve customer service and responsibility of employees.

This can be done by taking ownership of health and safety of technician and customer; Conduct WHMIS training and hold technicians accountable to be in compliance at all times.

maid in your hometown need to treat customers concerns as areas of opportunity rather than acting defensively. Concerns should NOT be met by calling a customer a liar or blaming customer for not specifying exactly that "working order" tools should be brought to complete job. As the employer it is their responsibility to hold technicians to a standard that ensures all work tools are in good working order for each job.

Finally, respect Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) laws; do not repeatedly contact customers by text message (without prior consent) with threats to send them to collections. More...

WHAT A NIGHTMARE THIS COMPANY IS NEVER EVER CALL THEM DIDNT EVEN CLEAN THEIR WAS A FLOOD IN THE UNIT SO THEY COULDNT CLEAN AND THEY CHARGED ME 200$ THESE PEOPLE ARE THE DEVIL

The cleaning technician did not clean the unit, she didn't even have cleaning material, just a wet towel! we showed her the spots on carpet and she sprayed water on it and rub with towel (had to clean it after myself). Kitchen cabinets were not cleaned and we asked to redo them and still not good. The floor behind the toilet was not cleaned the window behind the screen door was not cleaned (just need to slide the screen door). Carpet did not look like it was even vacuumed. Oven and stove not cleaned, floor was not cleaned, baseboards were not even touched. All the above was agreed to be cleaned and was included in the quote.
I complained and they asked to send pictures which I did of the defects and I asked for the money back and they said they can't pay because I already paid; which I was asked to do after 4.5 hours of Technician "cleaning" the unit, so why the hell they asked for pictures, if they don't intend to pay back.
I had to clean the unit myself. What a waste of money and time to deal with them.
It was my first time using their services and it's my last time.

I had a maid come into my rental unit from Maid in your Hometown on September 5th. They offered me extra services such as cleaning baseboards, cupboards and washing bedding at an extra cost. I took them up on the offer. Knowing these extra services were required and paid for, why did they send a maid that did not know how to do laundry? He put all five loads of bedding (sheets, pillowcases and duvets) in the washer at the same time which overloaded the machine and broke the bearings. Since this is a rental unit I did not have a technician come in right away as no one was going to be using the washer. When I realized what had happened I contacted Maid in your Hometown asking for anything they can do for me, as a company that has workers going into people’s homes should have insurance for these kinds of incidents. Their response was that too much time had passed since the incident and there is not enough proof their cleaner was the one that broke the machine. When you fill a working machine to the max and it does not stop running for 4 hours, it's pretty easy to tell what happened. They will not return any of my money, or fix the washing machine. I had an absolutely terrible experience with this company.

To begin with, I received a quote over the phone with your rep for $180 and received an invoice for $210. I had an appointment scheduled for 1pm and you had called and it was changed last minute to 3pm.

The cleaning that happened at the property was very unsatisfactory. The floors were not clean at all. The sink and taps were still covered with dust and there was debris still in the kitchen sink. There was all kinds of stuff still left on the floor. The windows were covered with streaks and dirt still left in the window. The bathroom floor was not even cleaned nor were the baseboards.

I had tenants moving in the following day of the clean. I arrived at 9am to check on the clean and was very surprised at the unprofessional cleaning service. I then received multiple messages from multiple different numbers ordering me to pay the invoice. I responded with pictures and an explanation of my frustration and no one responded. I also received a message that you will ruin my credit and send me to collections of I do not pay. This is extremely unprofessional.

I had to hire a new cleaner to come in and finish the job which cost me an additional $150. The cleaner had to work there while the new tenants were moving in which was also very frustrating.

Horrible service - cleaner did such a and job we had to hire someone else to come back and clean for another 4.5 hours. Now someone named Vinz from the company is threatening to take the less than $200 bill to collections. Avoid this company at all costs.

Top cleaning service in Toronto area, I would definitely use them again. Very satisfied with the promotional offer, excellent price, outstanding clean.

Received a flyer through the post with coupons attached for Maidinyourhometown so I thought lets give it a try. The cleaners, Stephanie came for two hours and where friendly. I outlined what I wanted to be done as well as the girls got straight down to work, within an hour and a half they had completed and done an amazing job. The place was spotless from top to bottom, I couldn't have done a better work myself, my husband and I have decided we will get the girls in once a week to give us a few free time on the weekend which we usually spend doing house work.
