Great crew, clean boat, good food and beverages. Would recommend for a group outting. Lower lever enclosed and warm, and upper deck has open air and canopy area with heaters.

Captain Dan and the crew did a fantastic job for our Ceremony and Reception Venue. They were so easy to work with, went out of their way to make sure and had the wine we wanted. Very attentive servers and bartenders. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed the food and the ability to see St. Paul from the river. I highly recommend for a small wedding (under 100, we had 80 people and it the perfect size) It was the perfect way to start our married life! More...

Having our wedding on the Magnolia Blossom was the perfect venue for us! We had a smaller budget to work with but still wanted to do something unique and different for our big day. The boat was the perfect size. The staff was amazing and so helpful before, during and after. Our guests had a wonderful time! We had a smaller sized wedding with 75 guests that attended, we were able to have 100 total. I think 75 was the perfect number for the space. Our guests also loved that the ceremony and reception were all in one place. The Food was served buffet style, all of it was delicious and there was more than enough for everyone to get their fill. There were lots of options to choose from on the menu, we went with the grand buffet, something simpler since we were eating around 3pm. For the bar we placed a set dollar amount of $1000 and that was enough for everyone to drink, and the additional price for unlimited non-acoholic is very reasonable. We were able to bring in our own cupcakes and cake which was awesome. Captain Dan was very helpful throughout the whole planning process, quickly replied to emails and was easy to schedule meetings with over the phone and in-person. The cruise itself was beautiful, soothing, very peaceful and created a real relaxing vibe to our whole wedding. The whole experience was wonderful and went so smoothly every step of the way. Hired for a wedding anniversary in August of 2015 and we were not disappointed! Food, drinks, price and views were all fantastic! ! Has a wheelchair for those in need of one. Captain Dan even turned the boat around soon after leaving the dock because we thought we saw someone from our party ashore (we were seeing things). We had a wedding of about 90 people. The cruise was awesome (we chose the MPLS Lock and Dam route), and all of our guests loved it! It was well within our budget, and the Magnolia was less expensive than 4 other cruise companies we checked out. The food was delicious, they had quite a few options to choose from. Dan, the caption was super easy to work with! I give this venue 10 out of 10 for value, and great customer service! Thanks Capt. Dan for making our wedding awesome! Wow! Amazing, low-priced, intimate, well-catered, personalized cruise experience on the Mississippi River. A total hidden gem in the Twin Cities. We found Magnolia Blossom online when we were looking for an unusual, reasonably-priced option for my brother's rehearsal dinner. We had checked out some of the bigger boat charter companies in the Twin Cities, and they were too big for our group, and too expensive for our budget. Nice local restaurants were similarly high-priced. Then we found Captain Dan and Magnolia Blossom. Over the phone, we negotiated a variety of menu options, decor, theme, group size, and price. Dan was unbelievably flexible even as we reduced our group size from 60 to 35, and modified menu and other parameters a zillion times. The price was WAY below the best we could do at any restaurant or anywhere else.Ultimately, we had an amazing experience that made everyone rave!  Dan & his staff were incredibly kind, flexible & professional. They were knowledgeable & helpful for gluten-free and vegetarian food options. We had a Mexican Fiesta-themed rehearsal dinner cruise with make-your-own burritos/tacos (grilled meat, not the ground stuff) and a hosted bar with margaritas, beer & all-you-can-drink non-alcoholic beverages. We supplied the playlists, and folks danced the night away. We even had a pinata.  EVERYONE, locals and out-of-towners alike, said that this was the one of the most memorable rehearsal dinners they'd ever been to, and so much fun being on the Mississippi seeing the St. Paul skyline.The boat's adorable. We just used Magnolia Blossom Cruises for our wedding and we are more than pleased with the service and with the venue. At every step of the way Dan made it easy for us to ask questions and make our ceremony and reception arrangements. On the day of the big event he and his staff were more than accommodating and with their help everything came off without a hitch.
