We loved that Mike was easy to get in touch with and communicate with throughout our planning process. He helped make our wedding day one we will never forget. We loved the website he has clients use to make playlists for the wedding. It allowed us to create playlists for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. It was super easy to navigate and it even had a time of events guideline that we were able to pass along to our other vendors and wedding coordinator. We loved the fact that we were able to chose all our songs for the wedding. Our dance floor was packed the whole time, everybody was dancing the whole night! Mike did an amazing job with the sound system outside and inside and we had microphones for my JP and speech givers to use, as well as a mic that attached to my groom's shirt so that the whole crowd could hear our vows. DJ Mike Obara was the DJ for our wedding on 8-29 at the endicott estate and words cannot even describe his level of passion and shows his reputation is nothing less than perfect! Starting with the ceremony the music selection was exactly what we requested leading to cocktail hour and the reception. If I had to do this night all over again I would choose Mike with no hesitation! Magic Mike made my dream wedding come true!!! Mike was so easy to work with, flexible and professional. He really listened to what we wanted and created a magical day for us. The dance floor was PACKED at every moment, which was exactly what we wanted. His music choices were simply perfect, all my guests thought he was the best DJ they've ever heard. Mike did the most amazing job as the DJ at my wedding.

The DJ I had originally contracted had his own agenda, and said that my wedding would be "a disaster" if he played any of the music i music my and I requested. ( A lot of 80s music, and music he had not heard of.)

After letting go of my original DJ at the last minute, I googled DJs and came across Mike. He was very personable and professional when I spoke to him on the phone, and made it clear that he could create a personalized playlist. He worked with me on my list and was receptive and responsive to my requests/input every step of the way. He looked up and found songs he hadn't heard of to play for us.

My guests still tell me what a great DJ we had, and how much they loved the music at my wedding! He played all of the songs I asked for, and I had a very specific list. I could not have been happier with his services, and recommend him highly! More...

mike was so so AWESOME I live in LasVegas and my party was in Revere and we had the best time he played all the music I asked for and in the middle of my 70th B'Day party me and my family and friends went up to my suite and changed into poodle skirts and he started playing the Stroll just like we were on Dick Clark's show. It was so so so so so f-ning AWESOME the place went wild. My party was a huge success and I can't wait to turn 8o yrs young. You do know know 70 is the new 30 if you're in good health.

Here's the thing with Mike & this party. The great blizzard of 2013 hit and it throw the party off. Not only was Mike on call throughout as we tried to determine whether it was safe to have the party (we had out of town guests due to arrive). Not only was he on call but he was willing to do whatever he could to make it work.

We talked about rescheduling to the following day to which he said he would be available and willing to help out. When that plan didn't work and we had to push it to a date that Mike wasn't available, he worked with us to connect us with his network to make sure we had a DJ for our party. He basically gave away our business due to scheduling conflicts AND THEN helped us get another DJ.

I can't judge his music or his party hosting skills but if his customer service and professionalism is any indicator, this man must be one heck of a DJ.

We could have not hired a better DJ for our wedding, you were great Mike! It really helped us become very organized with the planner that was provided and being able to request certain songs! We loved the "Love it, Like it, Hate it" lists, too! I can't remember if all of our 'love it' songs were played, but the quality of music was great and it appealed to every age group at our wedding. After doing an extensive survey of disc jockey companies in and around Massachusetts, I chose magic mike based on reputation, pricing, and communications with the owner. We had a small, intimate gathering for a 50th wedding anniversary. My goal was to have music that everyone enjoyed in a rather low key manner, however with mike's help, we were able to have traditional announcements and activities. The professional lead in and music options made things like the introduction, cake cutting, and anniversary dance very special. Mike arrived as expected and clearly had our event planned out using the song selections I had requested. I knew Mike from a gig he did and I knew I wanted him as my DJ. He did both my Jack and Jill (where I met his wife) and the wedding. He did a great job with the music. There was only one problem when it came unplugged somehow but he has a great system and it just continued where it left off and he didn't have to redo anything. He was very professional and came to talk to me before making sure we all were on the same page.
The only reason I'm giving him a 4 for professionalism is because we were having a 4 course seated meal so I needed his meal choice in advance. The venders were also at their own table. He only gave me his meal choice, and did not let me know ahead of time his wife would be attending the wedding. The Wedding Planner had to bring it to our attention and ask what we wanted to do and let us know we would be charged for her plate. That was a little embarrassing to us, and the staff had to them make a place setting for her as well during our reception which the guests could see.
