I"ve had the turkey tips which are amazing, the pulled chicken is good, the smoked mac and cheese is amazing. The brisket is the only thing that i didn't like, it tasted more like chuck roast then brisket. Great place and recommend it.

This place is amazing.  Great customer service clean and the food is delicious.  I just finished eating my pound cake with pecans, I saved it for some coffee the next morning. This cake OMG I need a whole cake to share this goodness.  The food was great the meat was smoked perfectly and not overly seasoned, the greens were delicious and the Mac and cheese was very tasty. Fantastic take on bbq. They have a unique style-- I had pulled pork on a pretzel bun with apple slaw on top. Good red smoke penetration into the meat, nice rub, still very tender. There's that moment where you start eating and think, oh, this is very good. Then you have another bite and you notice more details and start thinking that this is exceptional. The hot link I ate here may have been the best I've had.Every bite had that perfect snap that you only get with careful attention during the cook.The meat is nicely spiced. A bit spicy. Ode to the value of a detour!    We discovered Mae's because of a detour when getting off the Tri-State at Dixie Highway.   Because of the detour we discovered a real treasure .   Mae's is a food truck made good and will be opening a second location soon in Monee.   We enjoyed their ribs,  rib tips, brisket and hot links.   Classic Chicago smokehouse fare!   They have a friendly vibe and the owner was a delight as she shared their story.    Next time I will try their turkey hot links.   We will be back!   Finally,  check out her Cream Cheese Poundcake.   Thank you Mae! Very good ! Kinda of like the smoky kick to the Mac and cheese ! Job well done . I could of had more tender rib tips , they were kind of tough but overall I enjoyed my meal.
