Luxurian Homes did a great job from start to finish on my bathroom. The standard of the finish is excellent and they kept me well informed with the progress throughout. They took care of everything including plumbing, electrical work and plastering/tiling which meant I could leave them to it. We decided to convert our roof space into an area for storage. After reviewing several quotes we found that Luxurian were by far the most competitive and offered the best value for money. We were given a time schedule and the work was completed within this time frame. The builders had a committed work ethic, were friendly and cleaned up to a good standard every day. We didn't feel inconvenienced and our lives ran smoothly each day. All rubbish was removed from site.The standard of work was excellent. Liviu, the contracts manager, was always available to answer any questions that arose and attended site several times to review progress.We were so impressed with the standard of the work and the quality of the finish that we have decided the space is too good for storage and are now considering having stairs and fire doors fitted to turn it into an extra room. How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
There has to be a minimum head height of 2.3 m and a relatively high and wide pitch.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Depending on the loft conversion type, it may involve getting planning permission.
First thing is to check the place for suitability with a surveyor, and then get in touch with an architect for building plans.
An architect is not always needed, as it depends if you want to transform it into a bedroom or use it just for storage.
The space then needs to be prepped and cleared, so the builders don't have to move things from one place to another when working.
Electrical wires and/or pipes are checked.
Floor joists are fitted, and in this stage electrical wiring and piping is added.
Floors are insulated, standard being with mineral wool. Floorboards are laid on top of floor joists.
Rafters need to be reinforced in this stage.
Dormer and windows are installed, staircase fitted, depending on the case.
Roof is insulated, and partition walls are erected.
Walls are then plasterboarded and skirting fitted.
All electrics, heating and finishes are done now.
The last step is to decorate the place, generally walls are painted, visible wood and balustrade are varnished, etc.

One of our skilled and experience designer will be assigned to you.
An appointment will be made between the homeowner and the interior designer, in order to fit with homeowner's availability and for the vision to be forwarded.
Interior designer will come to discuss homeowner's needs for the project, understanding every aspect and what's important: general layout, colors, materials and furniture used, etc.
The interior designer will then prepare up to 3 different versions and will discuss further with the homeowner.
