Luke is an amazing PT. My husband and I have been working with Luke for the past 3 years and he continually pushes and stretches us to achieve new goals and constantly keeps us motivated as well as providing nutritional advice and guidance based on our long term targets. I have been training with Luke for nearly two months now and it is the best fitness decision I have made. As well as PT sessions with Luke, I am also a member of Community Gyms. I have made considerable progress with Luke in terms of weight loss, fitness and strength. I am pleased to be part of a friendly, welcoming fitness community which is a change from other gyms that I have previously been a member of. Luke has helped me to crack my yoyo-ing weight loss ways; increasing my confidence in the gym and knowledge of fitness/training itself. Every session (and there are plenty to choose from) is run by one of the highly skilled, friendly and genuinely motivational instructors. During the course of a session there are a variety of exercises ensuring a whole body workout and the staff are especially skilled at adapting or offering alternative exercises to accommodate a range of abilities or injuries. The members come in all shapes, sizes and levels of fitness and are friendly and supportive . If you’re thinking of joining a gym I would highly recommend coming along for a session or a boot camp so you can judge for yourself. Brilliant!!! More...

The Community Gym is run by really energetic and enthusiastic trainers (Luke and Lewis). Every session is different, so gym boredom is a thing of the past!
The groups are small and friendly and everyone works to their own ability - pushing their comfort zone all the time.

I started at community gyms a year ago and it is the best thing I have done in a long time! It is great! I needed to get out of my comfort zone and get fit and healthy. This for me has been the answer. It has been tough but also very rewarding. Luke, Lewis and Lucy are highly skilled, motivational and supportive whilst the gym members are friendly and helpful. It is a great atmosphere and the classes are always varied. Not one session has been the same! I have also liked the nutritional advice. One year on:1) I am fitter,healthier and stronger having made long term lifestyle changes.2) I have lost weight and toned up. 3) I sleep really well and have loads more energy.4) I enjoy the exercise (which I never thought I would say!) It all started a couple of months ago when ... realisation of turning 50 in July kicked in!! I realised I was not going to turn 50 in the body I 'had" however the thought of going to the gym petrified me until I met Luke Bicknell.

I have never worked so hard or even thought I would enjoy it so much but I cannot get enough of it now! Training with Luke has made given me a different prospective on the lifestyle I lead and has totally changed my outlook on life!

Luke is knowledgeable and passionate about fitness, motivating and his ability to maximise my time (tailor-made for me) in the gym is fantastic. A very versatile trainer and we are always doing different exercises so I feel the impact with every session!

Working out with Luke has been of great benefit to me. I am seeing a huge improvement in my overall fitness and strength and I am now working towards toning up my body.

Luke is professional, supportive and understanding and is ensuring that I reach my goals and beyond. The personal training is definitely value for money as I have seen a huge improvement in my overall fitness and strength.

As an experienced marathon runner I had many concerns and questions about incorporating a strength routine into my weekly training but Luke methodically addressed these with an incredibly insightful and pragmatic schedule. Not only have I seen improvements in all over body strength but my running technique continues to develop and I'm experiencing less muscle soreness after my faster runs. I would highly recommend working with Luke whether to improve strength, build muscle, lose fat or improve all round athleticism. More...

Fantastic gym. I have been going for about a year now, and despite the fact that I hate gyms, I actually look forward to going to Community Gyms! It feels really different from a normal gym (because it is different). People seem to get really good results (including myself) regarding weight loss and/or muscle work. The instructors are really knowledgeable, and very approachable. The group spirit in the gym means that we all spur each other on, and that makes it genuinely fun. Would highly recommend it to someone who wants to get away from the normal gym style, or anyone for that matter! More...

Luke is a very committed coach with a clear passion for his work be it gym classes or personal training . He is always available for advice and is very knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition , mobility issues and fitness. HOW IT WORKS…
CONSULTATION
This is a free, informal 20 minute session to discuss your health and well-being needs. This session is designed to help you see how we work and how we can fit a programme around your budget and time commitments. Luke will also ascertain what you TRULY want from the training, and why. We will discuss barriers to this, and how to break these down. We will discuss your motivation and focus, and how to optimise these. . With this information, Luke will be able to prescribe the perfect programme that will achieve a strong, lean and healthy body in the fastest possible time. All this information will help you identify your goals, and how we can help you achieve them. I have a team of 5 personal trainers, and we'll choose the right one for YOU and YOUR goals.

2ND SESSION
Following on from the first meeting, if you are happy with everything and you are ready to start transforming your body then we will start a process to of analysis which will help to identify the path forward so you can achieve your goals. This will include measurements, movement imbalances, life style, stress, hydration, sleep, hormonal activity, fitness levels and nutritional habits. You will undergo a full physical fitness assessment so that we can set up the right exercises for YOU.

SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS
We will start your fitness conditioning program on your 3rd session, which will be continually reviewed to make sure you’re heading in the right direction.
