About Luke Dillon Photography

I am a second year photographer studying at UCA Rochester. To be honest there is better photographers out there but I am will to do any type of photography at a price that I know is reasonable. As mentioned there is better photographers out there than me at the moment however if you need anything doing at a reasonable price I am happy to do it. My time is limited due to my university but if I am free I am happy to help. Having the university means I have a large range of resources that many photographers may not have and I provide a quick turn around in editing time and print of images. Having the university resources gives me first hand review in printing so your products will be done to a high and fast standard. I am up for a challenge and I am keen to help. If you have any questions or want to see my work please don't be afraid to ask. Hope to hear from you, Luke.

Luke Dillon Photography Q&A

Luke Dillon Photography Q&A

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

There is no secret to taking 'great' photographs, its known by any photograph that has a passion for photography. But if there was a 'secret' to photography I would say this... Its about your vision and concept, you can go out and take random photos and maybe get one or two ones your happy, but a great photograph is putting all the pieces of the jigsaw together to make the photograph, from the prep work and research, to settings and taking the photo to the final presentation. The more effort you put in the 'greater' the photograph, but also focusing on the must and needs and not over complicating it and getting weird jigsaw pieces.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What is your inspiration? Day and Time? How comfortable are you in front of a camera? Anything that stands out to you? Anything certain details should i know about?

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting people and I love moving around, I like the idea of doing a wedding shoot one day and photographing a car the next. I like having something new and challenging but most of all I love showing people the final image and for them to just look amazed and that is why I love photography.

What inspired you to start your own business?

The challenge and influences and role models such as my parents. I also get bored quickly and creating my business has developed new skills and gave me new challenges not just this I do not want to by like every other photography student and start when I leave university I want to build and progress now and not waste two years.

Why should our clients choose you?

Like I said at the moment there is better photographers, but honestly why pay over the odds when you do not need too. I have a range of resources and I already have 3 years of photography experience. I am always challenging myself and thats why I am already going up against the certified photographs. But as you can see from my work I have developed a strong portfolio. Another reason to choose me is I am diverse and not just a 'wedding photographer' or a 'sports photographer' not ill shoot anything for you and I will put all my effort into it to make sure I am value for money. I take photos because I enjoy it and want to provide my best service.
