Hi,

I would like to say I'm real. Rather than hide behind any masks or pretences, I feel it's important to be as authentic and open as I can, in order to help you understand your difficulties.

I pride myself by my non-intrusive, warm and open manner and also in building a trusting relationship - whereby you can freely explore thoughts, feelings, life events and relationships. I will encourage the exploration of feelings, whether grief, fear and confusion or strength, power and love.

Counselling can be a challenging process and not always the easiest; simultaneously coming to terms with parts of your life or all of yourself. Therefore, I like to create an environment whereby issues can be explored in a safe, caring, non-judgemental and confidential space, thus potentially leading to endless possibilities. It can be a liberating experience.

Having undergone extensive training and a personal journey of therapy and self-discovery myself, I have great empathy for individuals who have the courage to face themselves. It can be tough being human but with greater understanding, empathy and exploration, we can, live a more authentic, enriched life.

Alongside my private practice, I had been working for 8 years with a large organisation in Hampshire, offering face to face counselling for a wide variety of issues. This provided me with a vast experience and I feel well placed to help clients face their struggles.

I work with both short and long term clients. Offering either face to face, online or telephone counselling. The initial session, gives us both an opportunity to meet, to discuss your needs further and whether I am able to help you. It also provides you with an idea of whether you can work with my style of counselling. We can set a number of sessions or decide to keep them open. The decision is entirely yours and we can discuss these at anytime.

I work to the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) code of ethics and a full accredited and registered member of BACP.

I have a full and current CRB (DBS) check.
