A great website is an effective website, so it really depends on the site owner's goal. It should present whatever's on offer (be it products, a cause or simply information) in a clear and attractive manner. It should be optimised for search engines, all major browsers and devices and visitors with disabilities, and finally it should be secure and simple for the administrator to manage and publish content.

Creating art I can be proud of and work that does its job well. I enjoy learning new things, and there's always more to learn with web development!

I enjoy web and graphic design. After working in a couple of IT systems and creative teams I decided running my own creative business would be a fun challenge, providing freedom and added job satisfaction.

I have plenty of experience building Wordpress sites for a range of clients with a wide range of needs, from charity to e-commerce to blogging. I've managed a team of creatives with diverse talents so I know how to draw many creative elements together to deliver.

Services

This is my bread-and-butter. I’ll never churn out an ill-considered and pre-made solution. I work with clients to make sure I understand their needs so their new website really performs and provides a great return on their investment.

I can also offer to host your website and manage web domains on a monthly subscription basis. My sites are hosted on super-fast UK based SSD with practically unlimited storage space (subject to normal usage). It means peace of mind for your website.

Integrating e-commerce functionality with your website’s an option too if you’re looking to sell physical products, event tickets, downloads, subscriptions, or even to simply accept donations. This can integrate with all major payment types (Visa, Mastercard etc).

There are three very basic things every business needs to be noticed: a message, a decent logo and a website. If you have the first we can develop it together into a smashing branding plan. I’ve developed an extensive rebranding strategy and led designers in developing a wide array of brand media. This covered logos, typography, printed media, website styles, social media styles and messaging.

This is one area that’s often neglected or developed in an ad-hoc fashion, but a solid visual brand strategy, including identity and messaging guidelines, can make all the difference. Good design communicates quality.

In addition to my LucidRhino work about half of my time is spent as a hired copywriter. I have years of experience with most kinds of writing, from thoughtful blog posts to product descriptions, sales copy, poetry and press statements. Although I haven’t yet been asked to write a children’s book, I live in hope.
