Found this little gem on yelp. Went in for a blow out yesterday and Karina did such an amazing job! My appointment started exactly on time which I so appreciate. A very relaxing shampoo, followed by a quick and perfect blow out. She asked me what I wanted and understood my vague description perfectly. Thank you Karina! I'm new to the area and I'm very excited to have found this salon; it'll definitely be my go to place!Audrey did an amazing job with the color of my hair and the process didn't take long at all. I was nervous to color my hair after having bad experiences in the past that left me with damaged hair. I've already gotten so many compliments on the color and how much healthier my hair looks!Karina was incredibly nice and didn't make me feel embarrassed by the state of my hair when I came in. She gave me confidence that my hair will get to where I want it to be. She's also extremely outgoing and personable, which makes a huge difference for me when I'm getting my hair cut/styled because I don't feel like I'm awkwardly sitting there. I can't say enough good things about Love Lane Salon. The salon itself is beautiful and has such a relaxing vibe. When you check in, you're asked if you want water or a coffee & then are directed to the cozy couches. I always get my haircut with John and my hair dyed by Jaime, both who do a phenomenal job. I have been in desperate need for an actual hair dresser that suited all my expectations, and it wasn't till I tried out Love Lane and found their beautiful and talented KARINA! Overall I was very pleased with my visit, but shoutout to Karina for exceeding my standards for my first time here! Deff will be returning and will not be letting anyone touch my hair if it's not her; if it's your first time here I HIGHLY recommend asking for her,and I promise you will not be let down. This is my second (ever) yelp review. Im to lazy to write reviews, but this place is so AMAZING that I had to. I have wavy,curly hair and always have to put a million products in my hair. I went in and John (the male owner-I think I messed up his name. I have baby brain sorry) advised that I didnt need to add color to my hair to revive it. All I needed was some TLC to bring back my natural color and locks. He did this Olaplex thing and then recommend two simple hair products. I walked out with mermaid hair and ever since, I style my hair with those two light weight products instead of spending a million dollars on Ouai products from sephora and still ending up with flat, cruchy,frizzy curls. If you're a brunette, don't let anyone other than Kristina color your hair. Just lightened my dark brown hair and it looks AND feels amazing. I plan to keep going lighter knowing my hair is in good hands. I've also gotten 2 amazing hair cuts from John. This is for sure the best salon in JC. I'm so pleased with my appointment with Jamie. She NAILED it. I have been trying to figure out what kind of red I needed to be and she did it (after many attempts to figure it out elsewhere). I showed her a bunch of images that were honestly pretty different shades and styles of red and Jamie was able to marry them all into the perfect color. LOVE IT. I will definitely be going back. Kristina and team have been doing my hair since Lovelane opened. I haven't gone to anyone else since and don't ever want to. Kristina has nailed every single color I have asked for which include mega white blonde, dark chocolate brunette, not too blonde blonde, and way blonde blonde. I came in for the first time two weeks ago after finding Love Lane through an Instagram post. I was so excited to find out there was a salon that promised the perfect balayage in North Jersey (without having to drive into the city ). I'm a Latina with virgin, thick, dark hair and have been wanting to lighten up for a few months but have always been afraid of ruining my locks. After many weeks of following their account and seeing picture after picture of perfectly waved hair, I made an appointment with Jamie and came in. Even though I was a bit nervous coming into it, as soon as I met Jamie I knew I had nothing to worry about. She talked to me for a few minutes before getting started and we discussed what I wanted in detail. She reassured me and was such a calming presence. The staff had sparkling water coming my way every time my cup ran dry and I so relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Because of my thick hair, my balayage ended up taking 5 hours, which didn't feel nearly that long. Jamie and stylist Alyssa made me feel like I was with friends as they chatted with me and engaged me the entire time. One of the best salons I’ve been to - period! Kristina is a color genius. And Meg gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had in a while. I got better color here for a fraction of what I used to pay in NYC. They take immaculate care of listening to your needs and concerns and are magicians when it comes to execution. I had an appointment Kristina Maccaro for highlights. She not only spent around 30 minutes talking to me about what I wanted, but every step of the way she was attentive and really made sure I felt comfortable. I told her I was nervous at this was my first time veering from the person I have been getting highlights from for over 15 years. After the processing, washing and drying I loved my highlights. Probably the best haircut I've ever gotten. Mind you, I have super thin and long hair that just has always looked flat and boring. Somehow, John managed to give me volume and it was a game changer for me. I get compliments on my hair all the time now! I also got my hair colored by Kristina in late January. I wanted to go darker, but made her aware that I'd want it be a color that would be easy to maintain. She discussed my options in great detail and was very helpful with her suggestions. I had an appointment with Love Lane Salon yesterday, and I needed to write this review about Meg. Take notes because I haven't written a Yelp review in over a year, but the above-and-beyond attention and service I received from her deserves a 5+ star review. I just started visiting Love Lane Salon and getting haircuts from Meg a few months ago. From the beginning, she always took the time to understand what I was looking for in my hairstyle and provide advice and perspective on what she thought would look best with my hair, especially as I'm someone who is so low key with my hair maintenance. For my last visit, Meg ended my cut by giving it a really cool wave that gave my normally pin straight hair the volume and bounce it needed. However, once I washed out the curls the next day, I noticed my straight hair was missing something in its recent cut that I couldn't put my finger on. Now, when I'm not fully satisfied with a haircut, I get nervous calling the salon because I don't want to look ungrateful, high maintenance, or unrealistic, and I wasn't sure how the salon was going to take my request to get a haircut adjustment. But after I explained the situation to the person on the phone, the receptionist was more than happy to schedule me in for Meg's next availability. And when I saw Meg, she was completely understanding and attentive to my feedback; she wasn't upset, and she didn't make me feel like I was crazy. She really listened to me and made the necessary adjustments that gave me the haircut that I wanted. This whole incident honestly made me a fan of Love Lane Salon and Meg as it really attests to how much they care about their clients. Thank you, Meg. i came in for a major chop and crystal was here to PLAY.super thrilled with my new look! i've always had long hair and wanting to cut it but too nervous. crystal was excited and down to do it up right. she took her time and really knew how to work with thick, curly hair. i have gotten many compliments and feel confident. i'll also note that i just had a baby 2 months ago and have some postpartum hair loss (very minimal, just baby hairs around the face) and crystal knew what she was doing. i highly recommend and will be going back myself! plus $60 is such a steal! This place is the real deal. I got my virgin hair colored by the brunette master/salon owner Kristina Maccaro, who is a hair genius. She gave the ever so subtle lift I was looking for that appears so natural and will work well over time. Stylist Meg Chase gave me an awesome cut to not only accentuate my finer hair and give it volume but also bring out the highlights. The vibe of the salon is very relaxed and boutique like. You can tell the team really enjoys working together. I was truly impressed with the care they provide before you even step foot into the salon. This place is wonderful. It was my first time getting professional color done. Kristina asked me lots of thoughtful questions and took her time explaining the process. Johns cut was gorg. The next day I came back bc I wasn’t comfortable with the color ( it was Kristina ‘s first time coloring my hair, so I wasn’t surprised or frustrated). As soon as Kristina had extra time we talked, she mixed a toner for me, Tommy the salon assistant and another assistant helped quickly dry my hair so I can get to work on time. The receptionist Carly was sweet and helpful. Just overall a really amazing experience and I am so so happy and grateful for their time. *Update* I got some bayalage highlights from the owner Kristina and a cut by John yesterday at 1. This was my first time being able to have my color done with Kristina and I was so excited. I was not disappointed! She is so incredibly detail oriented, meticulous, precise, patient and an absolute perfectionist. Her passion in her art shows through in what she does, it was a true labor of passion and she spent hours painting tiny highlights that absolutely melted and blended so well with my hair. It looks amazing both with waves or straight. I'm definitely going to be a loyalist to this place and am so glad I found it. No need to schlep into Manhattan anymore! This place is better than any manhattan salon and I've been looking for 12 years.The cut is also super flattering and perfect for me; John is amazing and does what he does so effortlessly but flawlessly. I found my new go to salon. I desperately needed a haircut and am always apprehensive when it comes to taking off my length. Thanks to Kristina  my hair went from a WHUT?  a WOW. The color and the health of my hair is like NOTHING I have ever experienced. Just as important was how impressed I was with the time Kristina spent, getting to understand my needs and wants so the "we" could formulate a plan that was realistic and would work. Kristina is all about protecting the health of your hair as well. When I did wash my hair and took a look it was the first time in a very long time that I truly liked my own reflection in the mirror. She got me and my hair!I also want to thank John for spending time with me, although we didn't even have an appointment. I'm looking forward to having my hair cut by him at my next appointment. Can't say enough great things about this salon! Kristina did a balayage/touch up on my hair a few days ago, and it's somehow felt healthier and easier to manage ever since (and I love the color). I LOVED my experience at Love Lane Salon! The salon is beautiful and everyone was so friendly and nice. I had a great time getting my hair cut and styled by Crystal Coisne. She knew exactly what to do with my curly hair and even showed me new techniques for keeping my curls bouncy and lively. This place is SO great. I saw Crystal and she was an absolute dream. Giving me a short haircut I don't hate later on at home is difficult but she managed to pull it off. She was super attentive and made my vague, mumbled instructions into a haircut I loved. My  haircut is exactly what I wanted and Crystal has such an amazing, positive energy. Besides amazing haircuts, I was accidentally late to my appointment and no one even said anything about it- they just welcomed me into the salon. Even when my French bulldog proceeded to throw up all over the place (and embarrass me in the process) they were so sweet and lovely about it. I think it's hard to find a salon where people are genuinely down to Earth. Everyone at Love Lane was chill and had such positive energy. This salon is full of witches that will make you feel confident and powerful. Jamie did a full highlight for me 7 weeks ago. Since then, I met an amazing man and got promoted at work.
