I have recently inherited the remainder of a property that I already part owned but it is in a complete state. I am currently looking into the possibilities of refurbishing or to sell as is but needed advice on the probable chunk of any profit I would have to pay in Capital Gains Tax to see if it was worthwhile. Paul was excellent in talking through the possible outcome which will help immensely with my decision once I have had the property revalued. Paul also gave advice on an option available for how I could use the property as an income without the hassle of being a landlord myself. I have to admit I detest technology and dealing with anything online is bad enough but Tax forms are my idea of hell. So after many weeks of worry, stress and sleepless nights caused by 'Self Assessment and Tax Phobia' my enquiries on HMRC led me to turn to Paul Lounds in Little Sutton for support and I can honestly say it was the BEST thing I ever did, how I wish I had gone to see him much sooner! ! I cannot praise Paul Lounds and his team enough . Starting as I did last year from leaving the NHS after 20 years, and going it alone with my small company, Paul has been nothing more than marvelous in guiding me all the way through the maze of becoming a limited company and ALL the issues of taxation and corporation tax. He's also been very forgiving on my lack of knowledge of the subjects at times, and explains in very simple terms how things should work.I have to say, the first few months have been tricky getting to grips with what is required, as I work away with my work, but Paul is always there and communication is one of this company's strong points. I first met with Paul of Lounds & Co early last year as I knew my Tax Return for 2013/2014 was due January 2015. Paul was extremely helpful, explaining exactly what I needed to do and why. Feeling a more confident I submitted my accounts. I have only used this accountant for this tax year and so far have found him to be very helpful. All queries are replied too promptly and any minor errors on my part are always raised (in a polite manner).
