What do you love most about your job?
I love making a difference to the owner and dogs life. I love spending every day with dogs forming a bond- be it training, grooming or walking. Dogs have been a big part of my life for so long now. I find it very rewarding seeing what I difference I make to other peoples lives. I become your dogs surrogate mummy while your at work or away on holiday.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My late dog Nixon inspired me to start my business in 2013. Nixon wasn't a great lover of kennels and it resulted in me having friends watch him while we went away in order to cause him minimal distress. I knew that Nixon would not be the only dog who disliked kennels so Lotty's Long Walks Pet Services was born. I now Pet sit from Dogs to reptiles ( no job is too small) , dog walking, dog groom, pet microchip and am canine first aid trained. I gained experience working in a Rescue kennel in Dorset. Here I took part in the training and rehabilitation to prepare rescue dogs for rehoming. I also fostered dogs in order to achieve this.
