I am 57, Mr Agrawal operated on me in January 2017, weight loss surgery was one of the biggest decisions I have made in my life - I only wish I hadn’t waited so long.
With the help of Mr Agrawal and his brilliant team I chose to have a sleeve gastrectomy, once the decision was made i can’t say I wasn’t scared, I was petrified but I felt I was in good hands and this proved to be true.
I was given a very strict pre op liver reduction diet to start three weeks prior to the operation, this was not easy but as time went on it became quite enjoyable, knowing my new life journey had started. The operation went well, I was uncomfortable for a few days. I followed a very strict post operation diet, which introduced me slowly back to normal food. One year later I am six stone lighter and a new woman, I have boundless energy, my blood pressure is normal and I no longer snore, which was a very big issue for me as a woman.
I follow a healthy diet, I eat what I like and have no aversion to any foods but my portion sizes are now less than a quarter of what they were - I still enjoy treats, cooking and eating out.
If you are contemplating weight loss surgery, you will be in the best hands with Mr Agrawal - my advice, don’t spend too much time thinking about it, just go do it!
