As a singer I have previously gotten very bored with guitar lessons and given up, but after just 2 lessons with George I feel really excited and confident that I will actually improve. His enthusiasm is contagious, it's very obvious George loves teaching, he is encouraging and makes sure to check up regularly on my practise. More...

I have had 4 lessons with George and he has been brilliant so far! I have been playing guitar for a couple of years now and lots of fundamentals have been missed out or not clearly explained by my previous teachers. George doesn't just stick to the typical rockschool grading "open up book" and play songs method of teaching but reinforces the importance of the fundamentals as well as when and how to apply them. After 4 lessons with George i feel as if i have improved already. George records you playing sometimes and then you can compare what you were like when u first started playing to how you play now which i find to be really motivating. As i have just started with George we are cementing the fundamentals but we will be planning on incorporating music production skills to create songs and and being able to recognise which chords/ melodies go to together just by listening to a song by ear without having to read tabs etc... George is very patient, kind and most of all very welcoming! I have had 5 guitar teachers in my life and George is so far the best out of all of them (no exaggeration!)One little note that I must say - George does expect you to practice and be quite consistent with practicing because if you dont practice at least 4 times a week for 15 mins you wont be able to improve. There have been instances (not with George) in the past where i have not practiced for a long period of time (like 1 month) and my playing seemed to have gotten worse or stayed stagnant. So it is very important to practice! More...

George is a great guitar teacher with an amazing attitude, clear explanations and a lot of patience. George not only put emphasis on technics and good foundations (and believe me he does. A lot!!) but also focus on developing the musician in you. Every teacher can teach you how to repeat songs and chords, but George's way is how to implement what you learn to new music and playing with others and develop your own music, or just so you could have fun with the guitar. I cannot recommend him enough for beginners and for long time players who want to take their playing to the next level. The only problem is that lessons are ending too fast - I guess time is flying when you when fun. More...

George is a guitar machine! He’s an excellent, patient teacher with loads of experience who is taking me on a riff filled rock and roll journey of shred discovery. He can divebomb like Van Halen, is slicker than Slash and blows Hammet and Hetfield out of the water. He also makes sick coffee. Go to George, you won’t be disappointed. ps - George doesn’t just do metal. He can tear up a funk, blues or jazz track too. More...

George has been teaching my 12 year old daughter for about a year. My interest was in finding a tutor with a relaxed teaching style, who would adopt a fun and practical rather than strictly theoretical and book based aporoach. My daughter enjoys lessons with George that have gradually introduced theory and layers of understanding. She has improved steadily under his tuition with practice that is regular but not viewed as onerous. A large part of these successful lessons has been George's relaxed approach, his firm but friendly manner and tuition that adapts itself to music styles of interest to my daughter. His customised videos have also been a great help. His recording sessions have increased my daughters enthusiasm. As a parent, I have appreciated his targeted theory, his patience and his realism regarding practice during an intense term time homework schedule. George is a committed and enthusiastic teacher and my daughter has really benefited from this. More...

A fantastic learning experience. George is a very talented and exceptional musician, and he has an easy time passing those skills on to his students. I have been having lessons with George for about eight months, and already I have learnt more with him than I have learnt in about two years! Good teacher, good lessons, and a good time. You cant ask for more! More...

( My 6 year old takes Guitar lessons from George in London, this review in quotes are his words.) " He's a good teacher. He's kind because he gives me fruits and stuff. He teaches me very nicely. He gives me notes so I can practice at home and when I go to class I can remember. He tells me rhythms and songs like smoke on the water and twinkle twinkle little star. He's very patient. He's even more good than any teacher in the world." My son has been taking lessons from George for over 2 months now. He enjoys playing guitar more than ever and even more going to the class. George makes it fun and is excellent with him. It's a one on one class so Aviv gets all the attention from George. There has been tremendous progress. I would recommend George to anyone interested in Guitar. More...

I’ve been playing guitar for well over 20 years, although I feel I’ve been stuck in a rut when it comes to lead guitar, playing the same licks again and again. After a one on one lesson and one of the group masterclasses, my playing has already moved on to the next level using his techniques. George is an incredible guitarist and a great teacher. The lessons are loads of fun and his teaching style is structured, but informal. He also offers lessons over Skype, which I’ve trialled and work really well – I was worried that it would be a bit awkward, but his setup allows you to feel like you’re in the room together. This option is a big help for me as I work full time and have a young family, which means finding time to get to and from lessons can be a bit tricky, but this allows me to have a lesson in the comfort of my own home!

George has been teaching my 11 year old son for just over four years, and I could not be more pleased with my son's progress. What I love most is the genuine interest and enthusiasm that George shows in each and every lesson, and that he goes beyond guitar lessons to introduce all facets of music, such as, song development, recording music, organising jam sessions and even spending a day in a recording studio - which was great fun! Suffice to say, my son thinks George is cool and I would recommend George to anyone, young or old, who wants a fresh and rewarding way to learn to riff with the best. More...

I highly recommend guitar lessons with George. The Skype session I had with him was excellent and really motivational and interesting. Being able to watch him play and then get feedback on my own playing was really beneficial. I would rate him as one of the most outstanding modern guitar players currently going around at the moment. I've been having lessons with George for about 6 months and I am really glad I found him. He doesn't use books or sheet music, it's all practical. I'm sure the fact that he's a working musician (and a really good one judging by his last gig!) rubs off on his teaching style. Really focussing on basics and techniques to give me a solid base to build on. He records great backing tracks that I take home and practice to, he's always at the end of a text if I have a question.
I'm really happy with how I'm progressing, my improvisation now is getting better every week… thanks George!
