Comedians
Last night we enjoyed a comedy show with Adam Oliensis and Oscar Collazos at
the Bayville Elks in NJ. They were prompt to the event and brought their own
sound system. Needless to say, they had us laughing all evening. They covered
many topics and interacted with the audience, which was amusing in itself. They
were both very friendly, having mingled with audience before and after the show.
I highly recommend Adam and Oscar to any event you may be planning. They They will
give you 90 minutes of continuous laughter.

What do you love most about your job?
I love taking the private little pains of life and turning them into shared laughter.
I love making the connection that happens when we laugh at the same stuff. Because if you're getting my jokes it means that for just a minute we're seeing the world the same way, we're both, "getting" the same thing. And that's a whole lot of fun!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to work on Wall Street and in the Commodities Futures markets.
Ultimately, that wasn't for me.
I figured, if I can make a living doing what I love, then that's a win-win for everyone: for my clients, for my family (because I'm happier AND I'm setting a good example for my kids), and for me.
It's working out nicely.

Because I've been making people laugh by writing and performing for the last 35 years. I love doing it. I'm enthusiastic about it. Nobody cares more about doing it well, and because we'll all have a great time together!

I try to be tuned in to the ironies and silliness that that arise in the most humbling situations. (I'm getting lots of chances to practice.)

I've been working in comedy for longer than I want to admit. (35 years--oops, I admitted it!) Not just in Stand-Up but also in acting, writing, directing, and producing for TV, theatre, film, and commercials. I've recently opened for such comedy legends and luminaries as Robert Klein, Colin Quinn, Gilbert Gottfried, and Larry Miller. I perform at comedy clubs all over New York City and the surrounding area, including regularly at Gotham Comedy Club, at Levity Live, Comic Strip Live, Foxwoods Resort & Casino, Dangerfield's, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and Treehouse Comedy. Also at colleges, corporate & private events, synagogues, theatres, and JCCs throughout the Northeast.
