Me and my significant other had dinner at the Log Haven yesterday. We had the tuna tartare, he had the Ribeye special and I had the salmon, we both had a couple drinks. Our food was delicious. The tuna tartare was so good, the fish tasted fresh, it was served with this delicious avocado spread on the bottom, it was definitely a treat for my taste buds. My salmon was cooked to perfection and had very interesting flavor combinations served alongside of it, hominy, roasted peppers, tomatoes. My husbands Demi mushroom glaze was very rich and tasty. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star review was because we had ordered a beer in a bottle and upon finishing the beer we had noted that on the bottle it had an expiration date of Sept. 2019. Other than that, the Log Haven was perfect, romantic and a good value for the quality of food, presentation and service. Hope to be back! More...

Log Haven was outstanding! The setting was terrific on a December evening, rustic interior with roaring fireplace and welcoming staff. We had crab cakes for apps, our entrees included bison, elk, tuna, duck, and filet. Each was served beautifully and delicious!! Our desserts included some homemade ice cream and sorbet and a maple creme pot. Well worth the visit! More...

First of all; The drive to this restaurant is breathtaking! I recommend going around sunset. Nestled in the mountains, this cute little cabin-feeling restaurant was the perfect romantic evening for my husband And I during our mountain vacation. The food was absolutely outstanding and we loved every dish. The crab cakes and cauliflower dishes were the best tasting things we've ever had!My husband had the bison and I had the salmon and we both finished every last bite-basically licked our plates clean! I think this restaurant is at the top of our list for sure! Worth the price for the experience and fine dining. More...

Log Haven took such great care of us during our wedding. Kirby, Andrea, and Faith really know what they are doing. My husband and I had the greatest day and everything went so smoothly because of their attention to detail and love for their clients. The food is excellent, the venue is gorgeous, and the staff are amazing. I couldn't have asked for better. I will always remember my wedding and am so glad that I chose Log Haven. More...

Log Haven is Salt Lake City’s best restaurant to take first time visitors. Nestled in the mountains, Log Haven provides a Wasatch experience, no hiking boots required. The food is consistently excellent, which is difficult to achieve, and Log Haven has gracious down pat. Everyone is charming, matching the allure of the location. That twinkling wedding venue aura could come across hokey, but Log Haven has learned how to keep the restaurant separate from its role as a great event spot. A lot of places can’t do it. Log Haven maintains its authenticity. A special place for sure, but Log Haven feels comfortable enough for every day dining. I love it, and it is at the very top of Salt Lake City’s dining scene. This is a beautiful log cabin at the top of Millcreek Canyon, it is a very romantic restaurant with great service and better food. They often have live piano. There are great views and in the summer they have dog days and you can eat outside with your best friend. The area surrounding this is beautiful with plenty of hikes to travel on, and an amazing waterfall just across the street. I would definitely recommend trying this place. More...

Log Haven went above and beyond before we even got to the restaurant! Making the reservation online was super easy. When I made the reservations I noted the allergies we have and the chef took the time to go through the menu and mark off what items would not be safe so that we had a menu when we got there. Our server, Armand, was on top of things and again double checked with the allergies. He was extremely polite and made sure we had everything we need. The food was delicious! One of us had the grilled natural chicken breast and another the fillet. The menu items for kids was exactly what we needed and the 5 year old loved it. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with the mountains outside and the beautiful log cabin inside. More...

Log Haven is the perfect location for those wanting a rustic, forested wedding in the mountains. Kirby, Andrea, and Faith are the most fantastic wedding crew and took care of absolutely everything for our wedding. They were easy to work with and made the experience fun. The food is excellent and the view even better. They took great care of my husband and I, making sure we ate, keeping us updated on the time line, and coordinating with our vendors. Everything turned out so beautifully and smoothly. No hiccups, no drama-- perfectly as planned and discussed. They were very clear about billing and working within our budget. In short, we had a FABULOUS experience and the most gorgeous reception. We're so grateful for the whole team! More...

Truly a restaurant where the accolades are accurate and well deserved. We were seated in the southwest corner with the windows open which allowed the calming sound of the river to accompany us throughout our experience. We enjoyed unique food ranging from alpine nachos with fontina cheese and forest mushrooms atop housemade chips to the elk steak cooked to a tender medium rare with gorgonzola polenta. The s'more bread pudding balanced the sugary sweetness of marshmallows with the richness of Valrhona chocolate and the maple pot de creme with bourbon, cranberries, and almond bark were divine. One of the most memorable and romantic dinner experiences I've found in the intermountain west. More...
