It’s a 25 minute walk from the train station . No taxis in the village. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views over the loch.

Spontaneous visit to the area brought us here. Great value for money, loch view, modern, tidy room. 2 course dinner and breakfast all included in price. Downstairs was quiet but we made a night of it with Micheal the barman giving us control of the music and kept the drinks flowing, even sourced us a mic for a bit of karaoke. Dinner lovely also. The hotel is clean, bar is welcoming, breakfast was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were first class. The location couldn't be bettered and is ideal for exploring the local hills, plus the view down the Loch is beautiful.

To be honest I didn't have high expectations so when the room was modern, clean, bathroom clean too was a huge surprise. Staff were lovely. Dinner was exceptional. We have booked 3 nights here at the Loch Long Hotel, check in was fast and very friendly reception staff. The rooms are well appointed and have tea/coffee & toiletries, plenty of hot water. Had a excellent nights sleep. We stayed in hotel last night for drinks & dinner. The bar had entertainment on and the atmosphere was nice and laid back. Drink prices are reasonable for a hotel. The evening meal was delicious and good value for money. The waiting staff were very friendly and quick service, the menu is varied and something to suit every taste, I must comment on the potted shrimps I had, it was on the specials and was absolutely delicious! We had a great night, the manager and all the staff are very pleasant and the hotel has fantastic views, arrochar is a charming little village with great views of the cobbler! I would highly recommend this hotel, have stayed at The Arrochar Hotel before and find this place far superior in both rooms and food, also better atmosphere. 10 out of 10 from us! More...

After reading the latest poor reviews of this Hotel it was with some apprehension that we approached our visit.|Our fears of disappointment were overcome on actually seeing this wonderful Hotel which is by no means in a run down state. |We had a lovely room overlooking Loch Long .The room was well furnished with spotlessly clean bed linen and |towels.with a heated towel rail in the bathroom.|An evening meal was part of our Hotel Package and a very varied menu was presented to us.I chose a Steak and Ale Pie which tasted as great as any I have ever had.|Breakfast in the Dining Room was an ideal mix of "help yourself" and waiter delivered hot food.|The staff although quite young were very professional and made us feel most welcome to the Hotel as did the Manage himself..|I would highly recommend this Hotel for a visit and will certainly return.myself..|I would also treat the poor reports as malicious and unfair to a great Hotel..| More...

We have recently returned from a two day break at Loch Long Hotel and had the most relaxing time. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our room overlooked the loch and we had a lovely view of the hills. The room was clean, a very nice en suite with pure white towels on a heated towel rail, towels were replaced each day. The bed linen was clean and the king size bed very comfortable. The room had a large flat screen TV with perfect reception.||We dined in the hotel both days and could not fault the food. On the second night my wife and I chose the steak, it was delicious, cooked just as we asked. Breakfast was very efficiently served, a nice cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. One also had the choice of a continental breakfast which was self service with a wide selection of cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs along with yogurt, various fruits and cereals.||All the staff were very helpful and friendly, the manager, Gordon, was very approachable, and everyone took the time to have a chat with us all.||We cannot believe all the negative comments about this hotel and can only assume they were written with malice aforethought.||We have no hesitation in recommending this excellent hotel and would return. We stayed here last week and had a lovely trip. From the start the staff couldn’t have been nicer. When I phoned to book the woman on the phone was very friendly and very helpful. We had an itison voucher which included dinner on our first night. Dinner was amazing. One of the nicest steak pies I’ve ever tasted. It was quiet as we were staying midweek. Staff asked if we minded sitting in the bar instead of dining room. Of course this was no issue. The bar area is nice and spacious. Again staff were great in here. |The view from the room of the loch was something quite special. My only negative is there were a few things damaged in our room, a cracked mirror on wardrobe and a bash in the base of the bed. Great weekend away, stunning views from our room on the third floor.||Had a great evening meal on the first night & two great breakfasts each morning. An overnight stop on a journey from Hebrides to East Anglia. ||Check in efficient. Room was clean, decent size, comfortable beds, quiet. Bathroom was clean but could do with a minor upgrade (for example, a new toilet suite wouldn’t go amiss). ||Dinner was tasty. A personal favourite of mine is Macaroni Cheese, so this is what I chose. It was very good, piping hot and very satisfying. Myself and my partner stayed here in July for 1 night. We booked this hotel then looked at the bad reviews and tried to cancel but to no avail. |When we arrived at the Hotel the staff hadn’t been notified about our dog. We were initially booked on the 4th floor but straight away the staff offered to change out room to the 1st floor to accommodate the dog. We waited half and hour in the beer garden for this to happen, but it was no big deal. The view from the beer garden is stunning and we loved sitting taking in the atmosphere. On arrival to our room it was bright, clean and large. Toilet was lovely and clean and so was the bedding. There was entertainment (singer & music) on in the lounge which was good to see. They played any type of song that we asked for and tried their best to please everyone. We never stayed for breakfast so I cannot comment on the food.|Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
