What do you love most about your job?
People.
I don't think a day has gone by where someone hasn't enlightened me, amused me or led me to question something I took for granted.
We employ highly skilled and qualified electricians, but equally important is their ability to comunicate and relate to people from all walks.
But an added bonus is to walk away from a job with a fully satisfied customer who is more than happy to leave positive feedback.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Greed.
Not my own but that of peers.
I had been out of trade for a few years running several other businesses when I started to hear stories of people paying ridiculous prices for the simplest of tasks. But rather than think "I want a peice of that cake" my reaction was to imagine a local company offering electrical services to the community at honest and affordable rates. Que the birth of Localec.
Why should our clients choose you?
Honesty.
Skills, qualifications, experience, competent person schemes and being nice people aside, honesty is something I drive forward.
I am not a fan of cheap materials, but I understand that sometimes a budget will not stretch to top quality. I will supply and install to fit almost any budget, but I will not sell that material as being anything more than what it is. I will warn of its shortcomings and of the potential over time to spend more than one would compared to the better quality item. This has on occasion backfired when a competitor will sell the same items as premium. For this I have no defence.
I will not lie to my customers.
