I came across Lisa through a chance conversation. I am in Plymouth and Lisa in Bristol. Finding a dress for myself had become more of a challenge than I thought. I am a BBW. The boutiques didn't want me because I would upset there demographics and off the peg was neigh on impossible. So I e-mailed Lisa and truly was not disappointed. I came to LK Bespoke feeling less than a bride should, not only did Lisa make me a beautiful gown she made me feel good about myself. This is a feeling that has never left me. So much so that I am renewing my vows with my husband in the near future and I would not go anywhere else. There is more to this designer than the talent she has in her fingers. I got in touch with Lisa after struggling to find a wedding dress that felt right in bridal shops not knowing what I really wanted but hoping Lisa would guide the way! By far the best decision I made in all the wedding planning. Lisa was amazing from start to finish, she put me at ease as soon as we met feeling like family and helping me turn a mixture of ideas into my dream dress. It was such a special process and I ended up with the most wonderful gown that I felt so comfortable in and was able to really enjoy the day. Lisa also altered all of my bridesmaids gowns (6!) my flower girl's dress & even my mum's outfit to make them all the perfect fit including turning one bridesmaid's dress into a breastfeeding dress like magic!! I also booked Lisa to run a French Knicker making workshop at my Hen Do which was so much fun and we were delighted with the beautiful knickers even the real beginners managed to create with Lisa's expert help. Lisa is truly talented and such a pleasure to work with, her calm & warm personality is just what every bride needs! Lisa did a fantastic job. From start to finish she was amazing. When I first went to see her she sat down with me and we discussed the type of dress I was looking for. I was looking for a corset and skirt because we were having a steampunk wedding and I wanted an outfit I could wear again.
As the weeks progressed the dress took shape. It was fluid, so it wasn't a case of anything set in stone in the beginning. Even with the first fittings. I could make changes. Everything stayed within budget and I was never pressured into anything. Lisa also has access to a large number of fabrics and if you can't see it then she will try to source it. When I walked down the aisle both my mum and now husband had tears in their eyes and I felt like a princess.
She also made my now husbands waistcoat so that we matched. Again it was tailored beautifully and he looked very handsome in it :)

I'll be going back to Lisa in the new year to get the wedding skirt altered so I can wear it out to steampunk events More...

Lisa Keating is an amazingly talented lady who designed and made my daughters dream wedding dress become reality! From an idea, to a sketch to the dress, absolute perfection! She is not only extremely clever, she's also very lovely and getting to know her over the 2 years from when we originally went to see her has been a pleasure. She didn't only create my daughters dress, she also designed and made 4 bridesmaids dresses which was not easy as 2 of them live some distance and couldn't get to fittings and on top of all that she made me the most beautiful mother of the bride dress. I encountered Lisa's exquisite gowns on a shoot - she is an artist, a dream maker and a skilled corsettierre. I have no idea if that's even a word - but it should be. Clever, charming, and focused - Lisa had been up all night to finish her pieces for the shoot. I have followed her work ever since - gasping in delight. I had bought my own material for my wedding dress. Lisa was brilliant, very creative and everything technical was obviously very easy for her, she is an accomplished seamstress and an artist all rolled into one. It turned out i didn't have enough material and i knew that wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't. She solved it with some brilliant ideas and made my dress really special and very original. Well what can I say.....simply...amazing!! After being let down by my original dress designer I was at a loss. I found Lisa via an Internet search and loved her work immediately but I thought this would be out of my league. From initially contacting Lisa to wearing the finished product on my wedding day it was a whirlwind of excitement and inspiration. Lisa help me (someone with little imagination) come up with the most spectacular unique gown. Nothing was too much trouble and she even taught my friend how to lace and tie my corset for the day of the wedding! Lisa is a true artist in every sense of the word. Her work is exquisite, simply stunning!
Lisa's attention to detail and her creative vision is what sets her apart from other designers. She is the most talented designer I have ever come across. Lisa's work is in a leauge of it's own and should be seen in Paris, Milan, New York, everywhere!
Lisa made me the most beautiful, unique wedding dress recently and I have it hung up in my house for all to see, with no intention of ever packing it away because it's so gorgeous!
Meeting Lisa for fittings etc was such a pleasure. She was so professional but also so friendly and accomodating with making the dress perfect for me. When I tried the dress on at my final fitting, I cied at how perfect it was and I remember feeling a surge of excitement to show off my dress to everyone as soon as possible!
I have seen alot of Lisa's work and it is quite simply STUNNING!!

Have just had the most lovely weekend making my own corset. Lunch and snacks were fabulous (and I even got some sewing done). I am a basic sewer who can work a sewing machine, I have learnt sewing skills as well as pattern cutting and am far more competent at sewing than when I walked in on Saturday. I would highly recommend this course. Whether it be a solitary venture or something you do in a group for a special occasion. Take the leap and go for it! You will be taught in a friendly fun manner by Lisa (who BTW has the patience of a saint! ) and you will not only come out with an amazing unique high quality original corset, but you will also come out feeling abundantly more confident in your skills and having made some lovely friends along the way. I only met Lisa on this course but I feel that we have known each other much longer and we will definitely be keeping in touch...in fact I might just have caught the bug and be back for the next one! Lisa's work is exceptional - and she's always coming up with new ideas - (my favourite piece is the feathered bustle - which can be worn as a bustle or as a cape - adorable) - and her corsetry is is absolutely stunning - many hours of concentration and such attention to detail - I'm looking forward to attending one of her Corsetry Workshops!
