The breakfast buffet was amazing. All the items are cooked from scratch and so tasty. Our family of 4 all found things we liked on the hot and cold buffets (both included in the buffet price). Scrambled eggs with cheese and plain, hashbrowns, loaded hashbrowns, french toast, biscuits & gravy, scones, Danish, yogurt, fruit, applesauce, juice, delicious punch, coffee, tea, etc. All soooooo good. Small little cafe feel on the inside makes you feel like you're eating at your favorite Aunt's house. Outside there is a really cute patio area that is decked out for Halloween in the fall. Great little place in Lanesboro, Minnesota. Love the hometown feel. Home Sweet Home offers comfort food with a daily special. The place is clean and quaint. Very friendly staff works here. The deserts and pastries are very good making it very hard to resist. You can also order cakes for special occasions. We enjoyed a standard, very well made and tasty, breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast. Simple, clean dining room. They have a display of bakery items including cookies and other desserts. We bought gluten-free CC cookies - very good snack while we were biking the root river trail, and an excellent piece of chocolate flourless cake (made perfectly, not too moist and slightly crumbly) for later in the evening.
