Have never used Liz as a therapist. If I do need help she’d be my first choice simply because of the volunteer work she does with Crisis. Every xmas she’s at the shelters helping out and using her skills to change the lives of people on the streets. More...

I took part in some CPD this evening where Liz was doing a talk about alcohol and addiction to a group of therapists. Her knowledge was amazing, not only will it aid me when working with client, but also on a personal level to have more understanding, especially around alcohol and it affects on our bodies. Liz was very clear speaking and also very natural, which was refreshing. Her teaching style was relaxed, but very informative. She gave examples and also had a few slides, not too many that you got boarded, just enough that it helped guide you through her talk. Thank you Liz, I have learned lots from this evenings talk that will help me in the therapy room and also made me aware of much more on a personal level for when our boys begin drinking. More...

I have been fortunate enough to book Liz for several ad hoc sessions when I felt I needed the special Liz magic. When you come into a session you are welcomed with the warmest of smiles, the calmest of atmospheres and the most understanding, non judgemental ear you could wish for. So good was Liz that I also recommended my partner to her and he went on to have several sessions with Liz having NEVER trusted anyone before. Liz is amazing! I want to think of a better word than amazing... I'm going with magical. She has helped me on numerous occasions when it comes to the stresses that life throws at you. A time when I was having terrible anxiety and stress levels, she helped me get to a place I could feel like I could get through my day. I've never ever had any sort of hypnotherapy before and was totally sceptical at first. Didn't believe it would work. But... it did! Not only the hypnotherapy side. But her knowledge of how our brains work is just phenomenal. I've learned so much about myself and why I put things in boxes. I've learned when it's ok to do this and when it's not. I went to Liz with a personal problem that was keeping me, what felt like, in chains. Having been in this dark place for over 8 months, it felt such a release to REALLY talk about what I had been going through & how I had been feeling. It’s a very relaxed environment & I felt fully comfortable talking about this with her, she was extremely understanding. I highly recommend Liz. I had the pleasure of having a 121 with Liz to help lift my spirits back up and get my motivation back, and Liz was such a pleasure to work with. After completing a 5-session course with Liz (consisting of both BWRT and Hypnosis) I have found the strength and willpower to withdraw from my anti depressants. We worked on a few issues and I am amazed and so happy with how I now feel. I had a recent session with Liz focusing on my future goals and on some areas where I felt I lacked confidence. She helped me to clarify in my mind what my priorities were. I had a few sessions with Liz to finally get rid of the habit of drinking wine every evening and also my sweet tooth. I have got to the stage in my life when I want to be in control of what I eat and drink and be the person I truly am. Well, after just one session I stopped wine and chocolate and have certainly not felt the need for wine, despite going out with others who are drinking. Had a few tempted moments with the chocolate but still haven't succumbed! Have finished my sessions for now but know I can always come back for a top up if resolve should weaken.Liz really knows her stuff, has many different techniques up her sleeve and I highly recommend her. Liz is very focused and professional, with many tools in her toolkit and a lot of experience. She is also kind hearted and puts you at ease straight away. Liz has been helping me using BWRT and it has made such an incredible difference to my life. After a lifetime of abuse that had convinced me that i was completely worthless I was forever trying to proove myself and put things right. Liz has enabled me to be free of the constant, paralysing dread that I was living in so that I feel normal and comfortable in situations that would previously left me feeling crushed. I have worked in community mental health for 20 years, managing services for people living in the community. I have always wanted to be a full time therapist since becoming a counsellor in 2002 - one day, decided that i have to follow my dream. I went self employed in July 16, and now have my own full time practice and therapy rooms in Westcliff.

Online using zoom or whats app video. I'll send you a link and we can meet for the session when you are at work or at home. So long as you have a comfortable place with good internet access, then it works just as well.

Sessions can be online or in Southend, which you can swap with 2 hours notice. I have a COVID risk assessment in place which means that the latest guidance is followed. Glad to be out of lockdown however I still want you to feel comfortable within the session.

Let's have a relaxed conversation where we talk about your current relationship with drinking. What does your life look like right now and what would you like it to look like?

I give you ways to cut down your alcohol consumption - without feeling like you're cutting down. I have a number of tricks in my toolbox and I choose the right ones that work for you. Sometimes there's a healing aspect to this - as a qualified therapist, I help you heal any of the traumas that can lead to increased drinking (eg bereavement, relationship breakdowns, work stress etc).

Then let's Cement The Life You Want: Now you know which of your new strategies you want to keep and which you don't (there's an experimentation aspect to this). At this stage, I show you advanced resilience strategies to guarantee you don't fall back into your old ways and you can enjoy the new you - someone who can still enjoy a drink, but without feeling constantly pulled down by it.

A one off focussed session for £97 - where we drill down into what is happening with you and booze - and set some strategies on what changes you can make. Understand it and it becomes easier to decide what direction you want to take.
