I visit Tubby's often with friends and sometimes family. No matter what I will always love the atmosphere and the fact that it is off the beaten path near the water. Most of all besides the wonderful taste of the food my counterpart/server Mr. James always shows me the best attention. He never fails to check on me. Always ask is everything okay. We had lunch here 3 times while on vacation on Tybee Island. Everything that we ate there was amazing. we loved the shrimp appetizer, asian tuna wraps, crab stew, catch of the day, fried oysters, sea scallops. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly, the service was prompt and friendly. Dress is casual, we went in April and sat outside, there were fans to keep a breeze flowing had it been hot, don’t know I’d recommend it in July but well worth the food even if you have a wait time. The menu has a nice variety, I had Tubby Twosome scallops and oysters, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. More than I could eat. I sampled the spuds, would order those too. The praline cheesecake was shared by the three of us and was plenty to share, some of the best cheesecake I’d had. The price was what I would expect and well worth it., not overpriced.
