Unfortunately I have to give 1 star to this business as I can’t leave a no star review. Our daughter has just started secondary school and as a treat I regretfully took her here to have her eyebrows tidied for the first time. I specifically asked for no shape and just stray hairs to be removed from the end nearest her ear. Before I knew it, she had applied the wax and stripped all the way along. Beware this beauty therapist, as she does not possess listening skills. Worse still this treatment has left my daughter with a visible red mark on her brow 30 hours later of which I have been applying sudocrem to soothe. Further to this she had removed hair from areas I had specifically asked her not to touch. I was given no follow up advice for her immediately after, just told that the initial red mark would soon wear off. This morning the red mark was still present and I rang to speak to her, leaving my name and number for her to ring me back but she didn’t bother. Her website stated she was open until 8pm so I returned at 5.30 pm with my daughter to seek advice as wound still present. As I walked through her unlocked door I was immediately greeted with ‘We are not actually open’. After explaining my concerns regarding the red wound left on her brow she told me that as it was her first time wax, this wound could be expected. I have had my eyebrows waxed and I too have fair delicate skin but have never had a wound left like this. Also no advice given on what to do next for her, instead she had a horrible defensive attitude. I am horrified at the lack of care she has shown our daughter. She still could not understand my other concern that she had removed hair from the other end of the eyebrow despite my expressed wishes. This individual is very hostile to any queries of why she had touched areas she had been asked not to. She was incapable of listening even after I repeated slowly my point of view. She replied that I wouldn’t let her wax the other eyebrow when in actual fact this didn’t address the point of why she had removed hair from that area of the eyebrow when asked not to. Also it was my daughter that refused to have the other eyebrow tidied after such an aggressive wax. Not once was an apology offered or any care shown. We left in disbelief at her rudeness and her uncaring attitude. We recommend she takes on further training courses such as a ‘hands on further training course’ and ‘customer care awareness course’. Until then we strongly recommend that the public avoid going to this salon. More...
