Q&As

I love being able to do something to help another person, whether that is helping to reduce their pain, get them back to normal everyday activities, support them through their pregnancy or keep their body in the best possible shape while they are training for an event.

I like the freedom to be able to decide how I treat clients on the basis of what I feel is best for them, rather than being tied to strict timescales or targets. That way, each client gets my very best.

My treatments combine a detailed technical knowledge (I am qualified to BTEC Level 5 in Clinical Remedial and Sports Massage) with the sensitivity of someone who understands chronic pain. Remedial massage does not have to be horribly painful - those advanced techniques can be applied with less pressure and be just as effective.

I always aim to work with your body rather than against it and will always operate within your pain threshold.

Massage can help ease many of the discomforts pregnant women experience. It can relax you and your baby, help you sleep better and reduce the risk of complications during pregnancy and birth. Myofascial work can also help release restrictions in the abdomen and pelvic cavity to enable your baby to move into the best possible position for labour.

Every treatment is tailor made for you, whatever your stage of pregnancy and is generally carried out with you lying on your side supported by lots of pillows!

The key to providing massage when you have cancer is knowing how to work with how you and your body feel in that particular moment, finding a way to help relax and support you without giving your body yet one more thing to deal with.
Massage has been proven to help alleviate pain, improve sleep, ease anxiety and depression, reduce the length of hospital stays and even improve clinical outcomes in people with cancer.
A certified oncology massage therapist with over a decade of experience, you can relax knowing you are in safe hands.
