Has life become a struggle?

First comes the initial drink, then you're not able to take control and say enough is enough.

After a long week at work, you feel stressed and constantly crave a drink BUT after, you just sit there and ask yourself 'why do I do this' - you just don't know the answer?

I recently had the pleasure of working with Luke from Lisa Inside Addiction and I must say, it was a life-changing experience. Luke's approach to counseling is not only professional but also incredibly compassionate and understanding. From the moment I met him, I felt at ease and comfortable opening up about my struggles with addiction.

Throughout our sessions, Luke provided insightful guidance and helped me see things from a different perspective. He never once made me feel judged or ashamed of my addiction and instead, he provided a safe and supportive environment for me to work through my issues. I particularly appreciated the fact that Luke had his own personal experience with addiction, which made him all the more relatable and trustworthy.

In addition to the one-on-one sessions, Luke was always available for support even after our sessions were over. His dedication to helping others truly shines through and I am forever grateful for his guidance and support.

I highly recommend Luke and Lisa Inside Addiction to anyone who is struggling with addiction. If you are looking for a personal and effective counseling experience, look no further! Thank you, Luke!

Q&As

As an addiction counsellor, I love that I get to help people. My personal motivation stems from losing my mother to alcohol at a young age and also having struggled with addiction myself. Being able to make a positive impact in someone's life by guiding them on their journey towards recovery is truly fulfilling. I take great satisfaction in being there for my clients as a supportive and empathetic presence, and being able to witness the positive changes that can come from the hard work of overcoming addiction.

Starting my own business as an addiction counsellor was inspired by my desire to work for myself and have control over the way I approach addiction treatment. I wanted the freedom to use the specific model of addiction counselling that I believe in, and to be able to build a team of other dedicated counsellors to expand the reach of our support to more people. Running my own business also allows me to continually strive for growth and success, and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those seeking help for addiction.

Clients should choose me as their addiction counsellor because I firmly believe in the importance of integration when it comes to overcoming addiction. I understand that simply stopping drinking in a rehab setting is not enough, and that clients need to integrate new behaviors and habits into their daily lives in order to sustain their recovery. With over 6 years of experience and 3000 hours of therapy under my belt, I have developed a highly effective model of counselling that addresses the root causes of addiction. I work closely with my clients to help them understand why they drink, and empower them to gain control over their addiction and earn back the trust of their loved ones. My approach is tailored to each individual client and is focused on providing long-lasting, meaningful change.

Yes, I am able to provide my addiction counseling services online or remotely through the use of video conferencing platforms such as Zoom. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend of remote work and therapy, and I believe that this shift brings many benefits to my clients. Online counseling eliminates the need for travel, providing greater convenience and accessibility. Additionally, the use of a screen during sessions can often create a sense of distance that allows clients to feel more comfortable opening up and discussing personal and sensitive issues. I am equipped and experienced in delivering high-quality, effective counseling services online or remotely, and am committed to providing the same level of care and support that I would in an in-person setting.

Services

Counselling creates a space for you to have a complete mindset shift and redefine your relationship to drugs and alcohol.

It provides you with a confidential non-judgmental space your family and friends are just not trained to create.

Counselling facilitates lasting change and enables you to gradually create your new life so you don’t get the whiplash effect of rehab.

It teaches you to understand how your emotions (even if you don’t believe you have any) influence your behaviour.

Alcohol Control is an 8-week programme that takes you through a step-by-step process.

It covers all the tools you need:
- Understand why you drink and finally break the never-ending cycle
- Get your drinking under control so you can take it or leave it
- Have fun socialising without taking it too far or missing out on the good times
- Earn back your partner’s trust and stop arguing about the elephant in the room

Simply put, this programme will take you from a barely functioning heavy drinker to a social, consistent, trustworthy adult In control of alcohol. It is different from all the other programs out there because it focuses on teaching you how to integrate the tools into your daily life so the change actually lasts. It also goes deeper into the reason why you drink by covering everything from the clouds to the dirt.
