This review is long overdue. In 2013 Lisa Dupar catered our wedding. Everything was fantastic. Not just the food, which was delicious. The whole experience was to notch because they were so easy to work with and because the service was so great on the day of the wedding. Amaryah helped us plan our menu and she was so sweet and attentive and organized. They also did our wedding cake, which looked and tasted amazing. It was a white chocolate cascade berry cake, which I highly recommend. Yum! I have dreams about this cake still and it's been almost 6 years. I would recommend this company to anyone. I've been to a lot of weddings since mine and I've honestly never had a better food experience at any other wedding. More...

WOW WOW WOW - Prepare to have the best food from Lisa Dupar. Simply stunning cuisine that tastes and looks amazing. We picked Lisa Dupar Catering for our wedding at JM Cellars in Woodinville, and we could not have made a more perfect choice. After tasting other caterers in the Seattle area, there was no comparison with Lisa Dupar's team. Pre-wedding: Our event planner at Lisa Dupar, Amaryah, was spot-on and the most patient woman on the planet. She was continually willing to work with us and our wedding planner to tailor the menu to our likes and dislikes and most importantly - our budget. We allowed her to make recommendations as to what she might think would work well in our budget and they turned out to be fantastic. We also were able to tell her our likes and dislikes to create a completely custom menu for our guests, reflecting our favorite tastes and flavors (with a distinct Northwest feel). Amaryah also handled most of the rentals and did a fantastic job consistently working with us to tailor our event set up and rentals based on numbers. The tasting: Great tasting with friendly staff and enough food to stuff us to the gills. And this is probably one of the few times in which the WEDDING DAY was actually better than the tasting!!!! Wedding day: After the wedding finished, people all commented that this was the best wedding feast they'd ever had. It was NOT standard wedding food, but high-end cuisine.Food was beautifully served for cocktail hour. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallop, and the mini tomato and basil shortcake! For dinner we served Northwest salmon that was expertly cooked, and the peach/basil salad was divine. Our guests also loved the second option of asian fried chicken and the most mouth-meltingly good lime rice. What we also loved was that there was more than enough to go around for the main courses (big portions for guests, no skimping). Lisa Dupar was also very flexible for options regarding our vegetarian guests.Desserts came straight from Lisa Dupar's pastry chef that made my chocolate dreams come true, with dark chocolate whoopee pies, Theo smores, and macarons. If you like sweet treats, the pastry from here will rock your world.Staff: All of Lisa Dupar's staff were incredibly polite, professional, and catered to our guests. We were extremely impressed. The bartenders were also terrific.Overall, we wouldn't hesitate coming back to Lisa Dupar for catering another large party or special event. They made our wedding truly special! I hope all Seattle brides definitely consider them, as they are truly one of the best and most professional teams to work with. Thank you again Lisa Dupar! More...

Lisa Dupar did the catering for our NYE weekend wedding and it was flawless. The food was the best wedding food we have ever had and we're told the same by many people. The linens, to placement, to timing was spot on. Dana was my POC and you couldn't ask for better. I wanted a dessert heavy, Seattle food scene wedding and I got that. At the end, they boxed up a to-go bag with champagne, the cutest wood utensils, and a book of recipes. My heart and stomach are so full! More...

Our wedding planner suggested Lisa Dupar for our wedding dinner and we could not have made a better choice. Lisa Dupar is not inexpensive, but if you are looking for a meal to wow, do not look any further.

The Food:
Lisa Dupar created a custom 3-course, family style dinner that was out of this world. I cannot count how many people told us that this was one of the best meals they had ever eaten. It was much more like a meal in a nice restaurant than a “wedding” dinner. After dinner they provided coffee, and a cake bar. We feel that traditional wedding cakes are often expensive and bland, but Lisa Dupar allowed us to go in a different direction. They baked us 5 delicious and unique cakes and set up a desert buffet that was a huge hit with our guests. If that wasn’t enough, they also provided adorable sliders and delicious little cones of truffle fries late in the evening to help soak up some of the alcohol before the night ended.

The Planning Process:
They didn’t provide a traditional menu of options to choose from, but rather talked to us to figure out what we liked and created a custom menu from there. They even went as far as recreating a favorite dish from a neighborhood restaurant. We went though many rounds of menu revisions and they were professional and patient with us the whole time.

The Staff:
The staff was outstanding. Our wedding was held at a private property and the Lisa Dupar team came in set up, cooked, served, and broke down everything in a way that felt seamless and unobtrusive. The staff was helpful, polite, and professional throughout the evening. We also tapped into the Lisa Dupar team to be our bartenders. We provided all alcohol and they provided all mixers. They mixed up amazing signature cocktails that were served in beautiful glasses (and copper mugs for the Kentucky Mules!) and staffed two bars all night.

In comparison to multiple similar catering operations, I have chosen to continue work with Lisa Dupar mainly because of the focus on excellence. Despite the challenges of on-going changes in this industry with personnel, individual client needs, and other unknown factors, I've enjoyed the constant challenge balanced with the reward of doing a job well and being recognized for it both by client and employer. Co-workers share a sense of ownership, professional execution, and teamwork to accomplish goals. The hardest part of the job which transcends this industry, is to find like-minded employees who are willing to put others first (mainly the client) and set aside ego to serve the level of excellence expected and sustain the reputation this company (and founder) have built over time.I enjoy working with other caterers as well, but find the opportunities greatest with LDC at this time.Pros Professional excellenceCons Front line employees often overlooked by culinary team when evaluating success of events, both are vital! How I heard of this place: I first heard about Lisa Dupar through a mutual friend, Pasha. It wasn't until I made it to Pomegranate Bistro that I realized that the two were related! Type of cuisine: It's a catering company with tasteful presentations of modern/nouveau Northwest cuisine. We all have been accused of being obsessed with our work. This obsession has driven us to seek out the freshest local and seasonal products. We have a tremendous respect for our environment and support our amazing local purveyors of food and drink. We feel so fortunate in Washington to have access to incredible artisan cheese makers, vintners, cattlemen and chocolatiers. It is with their partnership that we are able to provide our customers with fresh, local and sustainable products that are tasty and nourishing. We hope our food tickles your palate and nurtures your soul.Ambiance: Lisa Dupar Catering lies adjacent to Pomegranate Bistro and utilizes the same large kitchen space. While I have yet to enter the Catering doors, the culinary director, Grover Ramsey graced the reception with his presence and impeccable skill at plating the two, pre-ordered dinner options. What I ordered: Everyone at the table was offered fresh baked artisan breads with herbed butter and a mixed green salad with caramelized red onions, candied walnuts and shaved Parmesan. The two options available to wedding guests were: "Plated" Crisp Heirloom Tomato Pomodoro - quinoa stuffed heirloom tomatoes wrapped in Parmesan phyllo served with shaved cucumber cured olive slaw & tomato mint drizzle, or "Plated" Oven Roasted Chayote Squash filled with black quinoa & roasted peppers with roasted cipollini onions, spring asparagus & petite French ficelle. Seeing as how I couldn't make a decision, I had to go with the one that offered asparagus (one of my favorite vegetables)! Lucky me had the opportunity to sample the tomato pomodoro, as a friend had to leave the reception early for another engagement. Desserts were an assortment of Cupcake Royale cupcakes, moonpies, molasses cookies with cream in the middle, gluten free chocolate cakes, Frans salted caramel truffles, coconut balls, etc. What I loved: The flavors of the two dishes for dinner were quite similar with the black quinoa. The chayote squash added the heartiness and grounding energy to the dish, while the yellow heirloom tomato gave a sweet and light feel of summer to the palate. The presentation and the small portions were favorites as they allowed for appreciation of beauty and more sampling of desserts! Why I loved it: Lisa Dupar never ceases to amaze! The food is always good, always artfully presented and always working off of local, seasonal foods. Delicious.Cost: Part of the catering contract signed by the bride and groom, to which none of the guests were privy. But I'd venture to gues that each bite was well worth the cost! More...

So the bf and I tend to be a little critical of weddings, usually because the food is just average (at best). While I hate going to weddings, the bf has more friends that are taking the plunge than I can keep track of. The pack of babies can't be far behind!!So needless to say I attended our friends wedding at The Fremont Foundry (review to follow) with lowered expectations and regret that I did not stop at a burger joint on the way.HOLY SMOKES AND MIRRORS!!!! The food that they put out was not just good . . . . it was AMAZING!!! The food stations throughout the venue kept the lines short and each one was better than the next. At one station the highlight was Halibut on top of a polenta cake with a sauce that I can say without shame was licked off my fingers. The bf shook his head and pointed out that there were more available. Whatever.Shrimp and grits were the highlight of the next station. Seriously!! Shrimp and Grits?!! Perfect temperature and texture made it hard to slow down but the small platted format was the perfect amount of food. The third station highlight was the cooked to order gnocchi . . . . I was in heaven. Well actually I was in the bar line but it felt like heaven.  I reluctantly  washed the wonderful taste down with a peach old fashioned.  The bf is usually a little more of a bourbon forward drinker, but he had to stand in line and get his own . . . . .I was not sharing! Who knew that since my unfortunate Southern Comfort incident (don't ask) that I would actually enjoy the flavors of peach and bourbon again. All in all I ate too much and by the time the dancing rolled around I too was rolling around. I could not fit another bite in my swollen belly . . . . . until they brought out the mini ice cream sandwiches at the dessert station. I cried a little but I was a trooper. I finished off my share (don't judge) and then had a few of the ginger molasses cookies to complete the experience. So Lisa Dupar Catering . . . . you have raised my expectations for other weddings - I have 3 more to attend before the end of the year. My pre wedding burger joint visiting days might just be over. More...

Lisa Dupar Catering did our wedding cakes and we were BLOWN AWAY by the objects of beauty presented to us. We ordered carrot cake, lemon chiffon and red velvet and the guests were in awe of them! The carrot cake was rich and spiced to perfection, the lemon light and super-lemony and the red velvet was moist and just bloody delicious! Corresponding with the company was easy and we were able to have the cakes delivered to our location with disposable cake cutters and plates for a really reasonable fee, which made clear up super easy for our picnic style wedding. Phenomenal does  not even say how wonderful Lisa Dupar Catering is.My Mom had a party hosted last night that was catered by Lisa Dupar and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The servers and those tending the bar were extremeley courteous, funny and a delight to share an evening with. Especially knowing that they were going to be spending an evening toasting a woman well known within her company as talking others into having Patron Tequila and Chocolate Cake Shots. A party is not a party without 20 shots of tequila for several on the grass! The menu served for the festivities were quite flavorful and the transition from the delectable appetizers to the entree was easy as a cool night breeze. The appetizers were eye pleasers in their appearance and the flavor stole the show, just as were the entrees so don't feel like they aren't getting any attention because every ounce that was introduced to the group was aromatic and taunting to any foodie. Our evening of treats included:Carmelized Onions w/Sweet Peach*This is heaven in a tiny bite. The peach and the onions bring such a rich combination of flavor, it sets your mouth back for just a second.Savory Chevre Danish w/Greek olive tapenade & crisp pancetta*The tapenade was delicious with a piece of pancetta as a garnish. Fresh Heirloom Tomato Caprese salad w/Arugula Salad*The Arugula was downright delicious, a salad jam packed with flavor from the oakiness of the leaf to the basic vinaigarette.Full Circle Farms Vegetable Medley Saute *My favorite, a straightforward dish that brought out all of the naturally gorgeous flavors of summer vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms and baby heirloom tomatoes. There was also some kind of beef filled crepe that looked devilishly scrumptious and from what I gather tasted out of this world. There was also a dessert tray which I overindulged with the Molasses sandwich cookie that had a creamy and smooth vanilla enhanced center.
