BRIDES BEWARE: I would like to share my experience to prevent another bride from having to go through the same thing. I signed a contract for my wedding & scheduled a trial 2 days ago. I went in & showed Joanna & Mikayla the look I wanted. Mikayla started working on my eye and then showed me the mirror and it was nothing like I had asked for & was extremely blotchy, so I asked her if she could blend it more, she kept trying but said it wouldn't blend. It was odd because I noticed that she kept picking up the brushes and looking at them, as if she was unsure of herself. The owner lingered around the whole time cleaning and watching-it made me feel that the young lady was inexperienced so maybe the owner just wanted to watch?? The eye still wasn't looking good and I said, I was hoping for glitter in the middle? The owner goes and gets glitter & glue and then says to Mikayla "do you know how to apply the glitter?" then showed her how to use the glitter- in my mind I'm thinking if this is a wedding makeup artist, she should know how to do these things. She was unable to get the left eye to blend, so she said lets try the other eye- she did a much better job on the right eye, however she used a ton of glitter glue all over my eye & didn't seem to know how to smoke out the bottom lashes. She finished doing foundation and powder and said she was done. While she was doing my makeup she kept using her fingers to blend my eyes and face-then she had to take a break to blow her nose. Touching someones face with your hands while doing makeup is a big no no. When she was done I looked in the mirror & almost cried and I said to the owner, "what happens if I don't like this?" Joanna says, "you pay for today and we cancel the contract." I'm not exactly sure what I was paying for, because the makeup was horrific. Then the owner says, "I told your wedding planner I didn't even want to take this contract because I've heard about you." I have absolutely no idea what she meant by that because I had never heard of this woman or met her before this.I called my wedding planner as soon as I left and told her to please cancel the contract. When I got home, I attempted to wash the glue off my eyes and noticed that all of my eyelash extensions were glued together :( The next morning I woke up with a white/yellow crust over my eyes and the whites of my eyes were extremely red. I ended up with an antibiotic ointment for conjunctivitis and my eyelash girl had to remove my lashes to prevent further infection. I called my bank to dispute the charges for the deposit and the trial because at this point I'm out $300. Today Joanna calls my cell multiple times & when I was able to pick up, I explained to her that I was planning on emailing her tonight regarding the infection. I wanted to make sure she knew so she could sterilize the brushes. She says, "I just got a call from my bank that you disputed the charges." I reply, "yes I did dispute them because I cancelled the contract and I had to pay for lash extension removal and will have to pay for a new full set." She then says very quietly, "you know what?" and then starts screaming at the top of her lungs "YOU'RE A F*CKING PSYCHO. YOU'RE A F*CKING NUT JOB!! LOSE MY NUMBER!!" I said, "Excuse me? What did you just say to me? Can you say it again because I'm recording this call." And she hangs up. Then she calls my wedding planner and says to her "She just called me claiming she had an allergic reaction. It wasn't from us, it must be something she put on her face. She better not leave a bad review about me, if she does it's war and I will ruin her." Obviously I can prove that I did not call her, my wedding planner knew that I didn't call her. Luckily, I was on speaker phone & my home cameras caught the entire conversation. A wedding is supposed to be a magical moment, so I'm hoping I can prevent another bride from dealing with this woman. f I could rate one star, I would. Joanna completely ruined my wedding. I got a text from my stylist at 7:30 in the morning of my wedding day asking where I was. We couldn't get into the venue until 9 AM and told her we'd be there at 9AM. No response from her. We get to the venue with breakfast for all the girls and we met my wedding coordinator who said the two stylists were setting hair & make up upstairs. We set up the breakfast and had a drink or two. I looked down at my phone at it was now almost 10 AM and we hadn't see the hair and make up girls yet. I texted my stylist where she was and this was her exact response "The contract said 7:30, me and my fellow stylist waited, the Erlowest wasn't able to contact you. I can't do anything else the contract was broken. Joanna will settle the contract with you later". So of course I bring the contract up and come to find out THERE IS NO 7:30 AM Start time anywhere in the contract. My wedding coordinator also talked to Joanna the day before my wedding to confirm 9:00 and they could start setting up 8:30 at the earliest. I immediately called the salon and they said they'd give me a call back. They never did. All my emails and phone called were unreturned that day. I was left in limbo. The day after my wedding I asked Joanna to please call me so we could discuss, she never did. She only answered my email saying that she "sick over it. Absolutely sick." I appreciate the apology but that doesn't help with the loss of time on my wedding day, the missed photo opportunities with my mom and bridesmaids. The whole morning was completely ruined. We were in distress and high anxiety. No one could enjoy themselves and have fun. I spent the morning of my wedding in tears because of the owner of this salon and her stylists who just left the venue without telling anyone or any explanation. More...

Absolutely beautiful job on makeup and hair for our wedding. Unfortunately, I cannot give them five stars because they were over 1. 5hr late getting everyone done. They insisted on starting at 11:30am when we needed to be ready by 2:45pm for pictures. I ended up leaving my bridesmaids at 2:30pm with 1 person still getting their hair done and 2 people still waiting on makeup. Joanna helped make my wedding day so special. My MOH and I did trials with her for our hair and makeup before the wedding. Joanna was wonderful and really listened to what we wanted and didn’t want but also was great with suggestions. She was patient and made us feel like we were her only clients. She has an amazing personality and we instantly connected with her that day. I knew right then I had made the right choice in choosing her for our hair and makeup for the wedding day. I hired LNL for my August wedding and I have to say, it could not have gone any more seamlessly! Joanna answered my emails, texts etc. right up until the day before my event. I kept apologizing because I felt like I was being annoying but she assured me I was not and answered me in details and promptly each time. Lipstick n' Lashes was a pleasure to work with! Joanna helped me form a schedule for the day and easily accommodated my request for an additional stylist. The girls traveled from the Albany area to Manchester, VT to do hair styling for myself, the MOB, MOG and 5 bridesmaids. They arrived early, set up quickly and managed to finish ahead of schedule with everyone absolutely ecstatic about how they looked. Since I am from out of town I was not able to do a trial, but Sam quickly realized my vision, put in my extensions with ease and actually played around with several options for my headpiece and veil. The words, THANK YOU, just do NOT even begin to express my experience with Joanna and her team. I was very nervous and Joanna was able to take me to a very Calm place- Her Professionalism really helped to calm my nerves- She was committed to making my desired look perfect.
WHICH SHE DID, not just for myself- but for my daughter as well. She really listens to you and that helps. I was soo happy with my finished look- and it lasted - literally 2 days- she uses good quality products and my lashes even lasted! She was so flexible with all of our schedules for our trials and even adapted to last minute time changes.

We had such a relaxing day getting ready at my parent's house, and she had us ready with time to spare. Joanna did the makeup and also did a fantastic job. Joanna was great to work with throughout. The day of there was an emergency within the staff and only one stylist was able to come for 12 women. She was phenomenal! For my wedding I chose Lipstick N Lashes for my hair and makeup. It was great that they could do both because I didn't have to find a separate vendor for each. My overall experience with Lipstick N Lashes was good and they did a great job on my hair and makeup! I did a trial before the wedding which was good because it helped me to get an idea of what looked good but it was a little pricy. Throughout the process I talked with Joanna but at times it was a little stressful because sometimes I wouldn't get a response back for a little while and for a bride that can be stressful. Also, you have to give a deposit for your hair and makeup ahead of time and some travel fees are due at that time. Joanna was a little forgetful with the money I paid ahead of time for travel fees and she would ask me to pay extra. Also, she would go back on things that she said originally so that was a little stressful. I was happy with the stylists that helped me on my wedding day and they did a great job! Lipstick N Lashes did a pretty good job for our wedding party. I do want to caution future brides that Lipstick N Lashes has mainly free lance hair stylist and make-up artists which means that not all the reviews are for the same "team" of people who may end up providing your services.
Lipstick N lashes was very responsive (I was particularly thankful of that given that we were planning this wedding from a distance). Great value, professionalism, and flexibility.
I would have given a score of 5/5 if I was just rating our hair stylist Katie who ended up being the only person I used from Lipstick N Lashes. She did an amazing job for all of my seven bridal party members. I ended up rating 3.5/5 overall because I was very disappointed in the make-up artist that I was assigned for my wedding day. I was so displeased with my make-up after the trial, I cancelled my make-up service completely and asked everyone in my bridal party to do their own make-up. Since we all liked what we did for ourselves on the day of, overall a good experience with LipStick N Lashes.

I used L'N'L for my hair and makeup and for M.O.H and M.O.B hair and makeup. They did a stellar job. A tip for using them though is only do bridal hair and makeup trials if you don't know what you want. They charge you full price for trials and they only do a quarter of what they do the day of! SO, don't pay for a trial if you don't have to. The job they did on the wedding day was amazing. I cried my eyes out and thought for sure my false lases and eyeliner had run, but it didn't move at all! Everything stayed perfectly in place like a gorgeous painting all day! I am very pleased with how the hair styles for my and my entire wedding party turned out. They were able to travel to our venue, which was fantastic, and they did a great job. The two stylists were very pleasant to deal with, and they worked at a good pace to keep us on schedule. They were totally okay with minor comments and changes to get things exactly as we wanted them. You spend a lot of time with your hair and makeup people, so it was great that they were friendly and laid back throughout the day. It felt totally natural hanging out in the suite with them, they had great suggestions for everyone’s look, and everyone’s hair and makeup lasted through the night.
